Great Guy! Very Engaging in Conversation and just all around a pleasure to be a patient

Dr. Gavin has been my Podiatrist for over 10 years. I am the kind of person that loves working out but feet injuries (tendinitis) come along with pushing myself to be better. Every time I visit Dr. Gavin, he has helped resolve my injuries so I can get back on track with my life. I tend to push pass pain a lot which isn't good. Dr. Gavin is straight forward with me and makes sure I understand the consequences if chose to not listen to him. I couldn't asked for a better Dr. who I respect a lot. My son, my mother and I have all seen Dr. Gavin for a variety of concerns and are so incredibly pleased. He tells you like it is and is a very honest doctor. My son came in for what I thought was a foot concern but it turns out it was more related to the development of his hips. I had seen another podiatrist prior for my son who recommended that he get custom ordered insoles. Dr. Gavin advised that although insoles may help a little, the main issue is with his hips and have a recommendation for a physical therapist. I haven't had to go back so I think that's a good statement. After suffering from Plantars Faciitis (sp?) I hobbled into Dr. Gavin's practice in Woodstock. A few weeks later I had my new insoles and in time both the PF and the heel spur went away. He's a nice doctor with nice staff (they share space with my primary). If I had better insurance right now I'd go have him look at a sprained ankle that is giving me grief. Go in with some questions and notes, he does work fast and talks fast. read more

This doctor is the best. He is fast, efficient and a normal guy. None of that nose in the air, I'm better than you kind of garbage from this doctor. He tells it like it is and doesn't sugar coat it. I'll take Dr Gavin over every other doctor I've ever seen. read more

I visited Dr. Gavin for the first time today. I have been working with another podiatrist for several years without real help for my foot problem. He was wonderful and explained more about the reasons behind my pain than I have heard in years. I wanted to comment on my personal experience after being treated by Dr Gavin. I had extreme pain in my right foot for 2 years. I went to see a hand full of foot doctors who all told me after x-rays that there was nothing wrong. When I met with Dr Gavin in his Algonquin office, the overall approach to treatment was great. He diagnosis was straight and forward. He identified a stress fracture in my 1st metatarsal that went untreated. He was able to get me back to normal in no time.
