Very friendly doctor and staff I would recommend them. They did not preform any unnecessary things like some doctors do.

I went in for a sprained ankle. They took an x-ray before I even talked to a doctor. Then Dr…read more Hyderi said she couldn't see anything on the x-ray and I needed an MRI. It took no less than 4 texts and phone calls to get them to send the order for the MRI. Meanwhile, she told her assistant to get a brace for me. They just put it on me without discussing it and charged me over $80 for it on my way out. When I went for the follow up, Dr. Hyderi said I had multiple issues with my ankle and I needed to wear a boot for 6 weeks. Again, she sent the assistant to get a boot, they put it on me and charged me $197 for it on my way out. She also wrote me a prescription for an NSAID cream that cost $87 AND was on auto refill for 2 weeks later. She told me I should also consider getting a stem cell injection because it could speed up the healing process (but no guarantees). That would cost $1500 and insurance doesn't cover it. And of course there were office charges on top of all that. Then I got another bill for an additional $40 for the boot because insurance didn't cover it. So I paid $237 for a boot that costs $60 on Amazon. I decided to get a second opinion at Kipferl and I'm SO GLAD I DID. Dr. Steven Kipferl explained the results of my MRI in great detail, said I should wear the boot for 2 weeks, not 6 and concentrate on getting the inflammation down by icing it, applying NSAID cream (OTC for $15) and taking prednisone ($5 prescription). A stem cell injection was not recommended until he could pinpoint what area might need one and if I chose to get one, it would cost about $750, not the $1500 Dr. Hyderi would charge. After 2 weeks, my ankle is 100% better. Foot & Ankle Specialists is all about making money. Kipferl is about taking care of their patients.

I went in because a very small corn on my right little toe was bothering me. So much so that at the end of the day, no fabric could touch my toe. So I cut a hole in my sock in that area. All the questions I asked her, she left up to Jason, the medical assistant to answer. He was very nice. Dr. Hyderi ended up cutting my toe nails for $60 and sold me 2 little pads for my corn for $10 which fell apart very soon. She told me the insurance would pay for toe nail cutting or removing calluses. But not both. She cut my toe nails for $60 which, of course, I get done with a pedicure. I never did find out what to do with the cramps in my feet. A waste of time and a waste of money.

I agree with other reviews that Dr. Hyderi is all about money. They automatically take x-rays when…read moreyou walk in. The first time I was there for a fractured toe. The fracture didn't showed up on the x-ray so they sent me for and MRI. When I came back they took me back for x-rays and I said it doesn't make sense. They said Dr. Hyderi wants them. It was a fight for me to get them to understand the reason I was there was to review my MRI because x-rays didn't show anything. I didn't like that Dr. Hyderi kept having me come back to check in to get an office visit charge. She also insisted on orthodics because "your insurance pays for them so why not get them." The second time when I had a pain in my big toe. After x-rays Dr. Hyderi stated I needed surgery and an immediate cortisone shot to bring down the inflammation. I really didn't like Dr. Hyderi mannerisms. She is condescending, rushes in and out and talks over her patients. So I read the reviews online to see what others thought and I was so glad I did. Three reviews stated that she botched their surgery. So I immediately found a new doctor with great reviews. I had to get new x-rays at their office because Dr. Hyderi's office sent over a fax that was fuzzy. Ugh! Anyway it was confirmed I needed surgery but not because my bunion pins moved as stated by Dr. Hyderi. The pins are fine but I have degeneration and a joint replacement may not be necessary as Dr. Hyderi was recommending. They also said they don't give cortisone shots unless the patients are in severe pain. My pain was not that bad and Dr. Hyderi didn't give me and option. The cortisone shot was so painful and immediately after her assistant started measuring me for orthotics. I said I don't need them. Dr. Hydari said, "your insurance pays for them once a year so we recommend getting them." I have to pay $60 outside of my insurance and I just got them. The new doctor also said I didn't need the MRI recommended by Dr. Hyderi. When I asked the new doctor if my other foot will need surgery I was told only if I have pain. Whereas, Dr. Hyderi said we would fix that foot next. I'm not sure what she is fixing. It's unfortunate because the office staff are very friendly and nice. But I am quite sure I escaped disaster. There are MANY podiatrist choices in the area, I suggest avoid this doctor at all cost unless you like doctors who care more about making money than their patients well-being.

My wife scheduled a consultation appointment with Dr. Becker to have her bunion remove on her foot…read morein August. Dr. Becker was friendly during the appointment and provided his approach to remove the bunion. My wife was all in and wanted to schedule the surgery. Dr Becker committed to research potential surgery dates and get back to my wife. We had a vacation planned in January and hoped to have the surgery completed well before then. After waiting 2 weeks and not hearing back from the office my wife called and left a message asking for an update. She waited, and waited, she called and left a couple additional messages over the next few weeks that also went unanswered. Honestly, we still haven't received a surgery date after over 3 months. We gave up, time to find a different doctor. Then we get the $200 bill for the appointment (we had a $20 co-pay) and my wife forwarded a check for the $20 with a letter explaining her frustration with his office (I recommended she not pay until he schedules the surgery however she lost all faith in his ability after this experience). His office can't even get the billing right, we just got another bill for $10 saying we only paid $10. I'm staring at the cancelled check for $20. We HIGHLY recommend you avoid Dr. Becker if you expect any results from the consultation, just send him a check for $200 and considerate it frustration avoided.

She's also lousy at billing, makes a lot of errors and then blames the patient for her mistakes. Strange office---most of the time it's empty and the front desk is rarely staffed, which in retrospect may be a blessing, as you probably would not want to meet rude Diane, lol. Worst of all, this doctor didn't help my foot pain at all. I went to another doctor and received good treatment immediately, plus the doctor and staff at the new place were uniformly friendly. Would never go back here, and suggest you do likewise.
