Kudos to Dr. Gavin and staff…read more After many failed visits with podiatrists from Dallas to Chicago, and countless attempts by other doctors to "heal me" via their prescription pads, a family member introduced me to Dr. Gavin. His caring and attentiveness was obvious from the very start. With an aggressive schedule of therapy (which he thoroughly explained) and use of custom orthotics (which he masterfully crafted) I am virtually pain-free today. I only wish I had found him before suffering for seven years with excruciating foot pain and unbelievable expense trying every suggestion in the books. I gladly offer my complete and confident reference to anyone who may be experiencing any issues - especially those that other doctors cannot seem to address.

Taking care of my father-in-law who requires diabetic care has given me peace of mind. I really appreciate is his ability to explain things in language you can relate to and understand and that he gives you honest answers and explanations. The office team is fantastic as well. I have not had any insurance problems and they have always been helpful and friendly. We live further away from the office now but I would not consider seeing anyone other than Dr. Gavin. I trust his expert knowledge completely. He has always gone above and beyond to give my entire family the very best care.

This is especially disappointing because we really liked the doctor and were happy with the care he received. The issue involved custom orthotics that had previously been covered under our specialist benefit with a $70 copay. This year, they were initially applied to our deductible, leaving us responsible for more than $500. BCBS reviewed the claims and advised me that the provider had submitted the 2025 orthotics as Place of Service "Office," but the 2026 claim as "Home," which caused the difference in coverage. This was frustrating because the office had strongly maintained that "Home" was correct and that their billing process had not changed in five years. The claim was ultimately changed back to how the previous claims had been billed and processed correctly, but we never received an explanation or apology from the office manager or the billing department. What ultimately led us to leave was the lack of communication. The office manager specifically asked me to let her know if billing did not contact me. I did, and explained that without clarification about how future orthotics would be billed, we would likely need to find another doctor. I never received a response. We genuinely liked the doctor, but billing issues require communication and follow-through. My advice is to know your insurance benefits and carefully review your EOBs. Had I not questioned this claim, we could have unnecessarily paid more than $500 toward our deductible.

The fracture didn't showed up on the x-ray so they sent me for and MRI. When I came back they took me back for x-rays and I said it doesn't make sense. They said Dr. Hyderi wants them. It was a fight for me to get them to understand the reason I was there was to review my MRI because x-rays didn't show anything. I didn't like that Dr. Hyderi kept having me come back to check in to get an office visit charge. She also insisted on orthodics because "your insurance pays for them so why not get them." The second time when I had a pain in my big toe. After x-rays Dr. Hyderi stated I needed surgery and an immediate cortisone shot to bring down the inflammation. I really didn't like Dr. Hyderi mannerisms. She is condescending, rushes in and out and talks over her patients. So I read the reviews online to see what others thought and I was so glad I did. Three reviews stated that she botched their surgery. So I immediately found a new doctor with great reviews. I had to get new x-rays at their office because Dr. Hyderi's office sent over a fax that was fuzzy. Ugh! Anyway it was confirmed I needed surgery but not because my bunion pins moved as stated by Dr. Hyderi. The pins are fine but I have degeneration and a joint replacement may not be necessary as Dr. Hyderi was recommending. They also said they don't give cortisone shots unless the patients are in severe pain. My pain was not that bad and Dr. Hyderi didn't give me and option. The cortisone shot was so painful and immediately after her assistant started measuring me for orthotics. I said I don't need them. Dr. Hydari said, "your insurance pays for them once a year so we recommend getting them." I have to pay $60 outside of my insurance and I just got them. The new doctor also said I didn't need the MRI recommended by Dr. Hyderi. When I asked the new doctor if my other foot will need surgery I was told only if I have pain. Whereas, Dr. Hyderi said we would fix that foot next. I'm not sure what she is fixing. It's unfortunate because the office staff are very friendly and nice. But I am quite sure I escaped disaster. There are MANY podiatrist choices in the area, I suggest avoid this doctor at all cost unless you like doctors who care more about making money than their patients well-being.

My wife scheduled a consultation appointment with Dr. Becker to have her bunion remove on her foot…read morein August. Dr. Becker was friendly during the appointment and provided his approach to remove the bunion. My wife was all in and wanted to schedule the surgery. Dr Becker committed to research potential surgery dates and get back to my wife. We had a vacation planned in January and hoped to have the surgery completed well before then. After waiting 2 weeks and not hearing back from the office my wife called and left a message asking for an update. She waited, and waited, she called and left a couple additional messages over the next few weeks that also went unanswered. Honestly, we still haven't received a surgery date after over 3 months. We gave up, time to find a different doctor. Then we get the $200 bill for the appointment (we had a $20 co-pay) and my wife forwarded a check for the $20 with a letter explaining her frustration with his office (I recommended she not pay until he schedules the surgery however she lost all faith in his ability after this experience). His office can't even get the billing right, we just got another bill for $10 saying we only paid $10. I'm staring at the cancelled check for $20. We HIGHLY recommend you avoid Dr. Becker if you expect any results from the consultation, just send him a check for $200 and considerate it frustration avoided.

She's also lousy at billing, makes a lot of errors and then blames the patient for her mistakes. Strange office---most of the time it's empty and the front desk is rarely staffed, which in retrospect may be a blessing, as you probably would not want to meet rude Diane, lol. Worst of all, this doctor didn't help my foot pain at all. I went to another doctor and received good treatment immediately, plus the doctor and staff at the new place were uniformly friendly. Would never go back here, and suggest you do likewise.
