Generally, it's been easy to find really good doctors... but when I needed a podiatrist! Wow! It's like the Wild West out there in Podiatry World. You can wind up with someone who will do you more harm than good. How do I describe the sinking feeling you get when you realize that a doctor in whom you've placed your trust actually does not know what s/he is doing? After these early bad experiences, it was such a relief to find Dr. Florence! She is everything you want a doctor to be. When she took me on as a patient, it was a full-out commitment. She had my back from the first day until... until, sadly for me, she left Chicago. Her dedication and professionalism are exemplary, and you Wisconsin folk are lucky to have her now. I went for physical therapy following a total hip replacement of my right hip and worked with Felisha, who was FANTASTIC. The first thing she asked was, "What are your goals, and what do you want to be able to do when you're done with physical therapy?" Great question, since some people simply want to be able to navigate their day without pain, and others like me want to be able to live active lifestyles and do more. She worked with me, encouraged and supported me, and got me exactly where I wanted to be. She's excellent at what she does, and even when I had slight doubts about where I'd end up, I had great faith in HER. I like how detailed she is, explaining how the body works, and what the end result will be by working on strength, endurance and range of motion. I also had a chance to work with Harnisha and Gaelen, who were wonderful. And Michelle at the front desk is a real sweetheart and the perfect person to be the first encounter in the facility. My orthopedic doctor is with ILBJ in Arlington Heights, and I didn't want to drive that distance twice a week, so finding they had physical therapy in Libertyville was a godsend. I just finished p.t. a couple days ago and couldn't be happier with the results. I HIGHLY recommend them.

I get there, the front desk staff lady ( I wish I could remember her name). I believe she was of asian descent. Anywho, RUDE and acted as if I didn't matter. She got the nurse I spoke with and they proceeded to talk about the front desk staffs nails as if I wasn't standing there. I have NEVER received such terrible service from a doctors office. The nurse even told me that we had not had the conversation and told me I was lying. REALLY??? Would I take off work early, make up a doctors appointment all for the hell of it? NOT!!! Very sad! I have never been treated as they treated me in that office that day. I will not ever go to that location again...

(He literally spent about 30 seconds in the room with me, didn't even look at my feet whatsoever, and then stopped talking while rudely filling out a paper.) When communicating with them, they really hold their ground instead of being understanding and accommodating. Yes, I got my $50 co-pay back, but it was a struggle. I've also had experiences in the past where the person (lady, more heavyweight not sure of her name) who shows you to the room talked about her republican political beliefs and how "Covid was BS" and it's just overall inappropriate. I was a long-time patient at this office and have watched firsthand the cliff this practice has jumped off. If you're searching for a reliable primary care doctor near Libertyville or Gurnee, avoid Dr. Peter Puthenveetil at Greenleaf Medical Associates. He no longer prioritizes patient care--just Ozempic, Botox, and the cash flow. The medical staff is robotic, unhelpful, and disengaged. Communication is nonexistent, with exception of a termination letter from their practice. There's no real support or follow-through. It's a disorganized, reactive office that leaves patients chasing basic care. There is no longer any partnership in your health here--just profits over people. Stay far away.
