This was my 2nd consult with Endodontist. Upon my initial interaction with Dawn at the front desk…read moreI was met with warmth and asked a lot of questions about the office and Dr. Lisa Tran. Dawn has 30+ years in that office and was sympathetic to my situation. This is a long post for those who have trauma or sensory issues - please read. I went to this office because I am an adult with trauma. I didn't go to the dentist until I was 11 and having my teeth cleaned took 4x due to swelling and cavities. It was horrific. Recently I had a crown at Aspen Dental after leaving a dentist in Griswold due to coverage changes and they said I had $12K of work to be done with cracked teeth that didn't show on xrays (later found out upon returning to Griswold Dentist). They did the first crown at Aspen and I had unexplainable trauma as I started to cry and felt a panic attack. I also had wisdom teeth out when I was 20 and they gave me a shot of novocaine to the roof of my pallet that I almost passed out as I suffer from sensory issues. Later, I found out later this is one of the main reasons women have trauma in a chair from sexual trauma and I was molested and raped when I was younger. So, I knew I needed to have potential laughing gas (nitrous oxide) and wanted a dentist that is emphatic and understood the situation. Dr. Tran had Ashley assist in the procedure and she was very nice and understood my needs. I brought earbuds and listened to music so I didn't hear them. Dr. Tran and I talked before about the complexities of my issues and she was so sympathetic and touched by what I shared - not making me feel bad for having hangups about my needs. During the procedure, she explained everything but I didn't want to know and said to just do it. She did not have to give me a shot to the roof of my mouth, nor did I need nitrous. I needed trust in knowing I was safe. I had a major abscess in that tooth and it's been 1 week out and I am thrilled to say I feel great. I would drive for hours to see her if needed. She's an incredible person....and an expert in her field. I can't say enough good things about this office. I have a child with sensory issues and know Parents are always looking for experts in field who can work with those that are sensitive - she and their office would be the ones that fit this need. Thank you to the entire staff for creating an environment of psychological safety and learning about the whole patient. With gratitude, Suzanne Arena

When I entered her office, I knew I had a large abscess above one of the affected teeth. After using her special "CAT scan" machine, we found out I actually had 2 Abscesses and a fistula, which had formed from the infection. She very patiently discussed my options and benefits of attempting to retreat both teeth. We both agreed that the case would be challenging due to a broken file that had been left behind in my canal from the first procedure--and due to the fact that my root had a hook at the end of it that she would have to navigate. Well, Dr. Amaro did a wonderful job! I ended up having 2 appointments. She is gentle and very kind. I didn't have any pain or discomfort at either visit. The Novocain injections were painless. She was able to navigate around the broken file and my crooked root. She saved both of my teeth--and for that I will always be grateful. I highly recommend her for any of your endo needs!

My issue has been and still is with their front desk receptionists. Rude, rude, rude. Even my first day returning six months ago after a few years hiatus, I watched the receptionist yell at some patient that walked in the door because their mask wasn't on. Called to cancel an appointment today, less than 24 hours notice as I had forgotten to do it yetsterday, and got chastised with an condescending attitude like I was twelve years old, bascially waiting for me to "give in" to not cancel. Told her I had been unemployed for months and just couldn't afford the $100 cleaning at this time, and she proceeded to tell me that "Well, regardless, you cancelling is now preventing us from what WE'RE trying to do here..." She proceeded to remind me four or five times about the 24 hour notice as if I didn't hear the first few times. Wow. She couldn't care less about me or my pocket, as long as I didn't cancel so they got THEIR money. It's not like they wont fill the appointment. It's clear loyalty is dead these days. I'm surprised Ayottes patients haven't moved on. "Family" dentistry, huh? I guess if maybe it was the Addams family.

The first crown I was still complaining about, I couldn't chew on that side of my mouth. Fast forward second crown done and I'm still complaining something is wrong with the first crown. I felt with it for two years bringing it to their attention at every visit. The dentist referred me to an oral surgeon because they couldn't solve the pain issue.I was not about to pay an oral surgeon so I found a new dentist (not only because of this, the receptionist shouldn't be in customer service). My issue was fixed in his office by a little filing of my bite...first visit!

I was having a recurring issue with a tooth so decided to get it taken care of. As I am new to the area, I searched for an endodontist and decided to make an appointment with Dr. Morant based upon patient reviews. I am very impressed with this office. I was taken very promptly at my appointment time to the treatment room. The room was very clean and organized. The dental assistant was very concerned about making me comfortable and answering any questions I may have had. Dr. Morant has a pleasant bedside manner and started the procedure promptly. He numbed the tooth very well- I felt absolutely no pain during the procedure. He was also very thorough in his work. This was a tooth that had a previous root canal, but that doctor missed one of the four canals in the tooth- hence the recurring pain. He explained this to me to help me understand the situation. He treated all four roots and cleaned everything out. I have no doubt that I will not have any future problems with this tooth. I will definitely return if I have any future tooth problems.

Husband has seen Dr. Morant twice for root canals in the last five years. He only had positive remarks . I had trauma to an incisor decades ago now feeling pain above the site. X rays showed the infection so root canal was scheduled as soon as possible since I was flying. Entire procedure was quick . He washes his hands !!!! Hope never to visit his office again but would highly recommend his practice. Once a tooth has an infection you need a root canal cause oral anitbiotics can not clear it. The antibiotics do help in reducing the pain but sadly you need the root evacuated. Cracked teeth also can not be patched . Sadly cracked teeth will have an infection set and voila you will need a root canal. No one likes the ides to have it done. Dr. Morant is excellent
