Jacob told me that he'd only accept cash, needed over $1,600 for the work up front before doing the work. I paid the cash as I was in massive pain. After the appointment I filed the apt. with my dental insurance, was informed this needed to be done by his office, over the next 8 months and many phone calls with Jacob's location my claim was finally filed. My dental insurance sent me a notice that roughly 70% of the charge was paid by them, I reached out again many times to Jacobs location to know when I'd be reimbursed, never receiving the money owed. I finally had to go into their office and confront the receptionist who then went and told Jacob. He 3 times looked around the corner at me while I waited for nearly an hour. Finally he paid me a personal check for the balance paid to his company for the work by my insurance company. Blatantly planned to not file this with my insurance and keep the money under the table to avoid paying taxes. He then planned/hoped to double dip and not pay me the money owed back to me after the insurance paid was was owed. Guy is a crook and tries to take advantage of people. Hope the IRS and other governing bodies takes a look into his shop.....

I went into his examination room told him that I was there for a root canal and who it was that had recommended him. It was done quickly and painlessly. A couple of weeks later I was in Texas when I started experiencing some pain in my lower jaw, I went to a local dentist in Frisco Texas, where I was advised by the dentist that examined me that I needed another root canal in the tooth right next to the one that had been treated earlier by Mr. Saidon. She also asked me if I knew that the earlier root canal had been filled with a temporary filling and not a permanent filling as is standard in such a procedure, I told her that I had not known that. She told me, that after she did the root canal on the new tooth, she would replace the temp filling with a permanent filling at no charge. Not only did Mr. Saidon do sub-standard work, I also believe he double charged me for his services. I did report what I felt was negligence by Mr. Saidon to the State Dental Board, and after nearly four months I was advised in writing that they had found nothing wrong. Frankly, it was a joke. It's difficult enough to find a good dentist in this area who will actually do dental work without handing you off to other dentists, and who won't rip you off when they find out you have insurance. I've actually started going out of state when I need dental work.

Dr. Whidden spoke very highly of Dr. Desrosiers, stating that he was a dentist who decided to focus on what he loved, root canal procedures. Because he so thoroughly enjoys what he does, it made the entire process much more comfortable (and less intimidating) than I was expecting. My appointment was for 10:15 am, everything was completed by 11:30 am. My husband has had a root canal before, and I remember he was gone the better part of a morning. I know what you're thinking, speed does not usually equal quality. In this case, it did. He's such a professional and practiced hand, the actual root removal was roughly 5-10 mins. The rest of the appointment was pre-examinations, post work filling in the root canal and then post examinations. Dr. Desrosiers was very concerned with my comfort, whenever I started to feel anything I let him know and he immediately took care of it. According to Dr. Whidden, I am a fast metaboliser of anesthesia. I told Dr. Desrosiers this, and he took it very seriously. He gave me a long acting (usually lasts 6-8 hour) local anesthetic and then some shorter acting anesthetic at the tooth to be worked on. A couple times during the work itself I started to feel pressure in my jaw and Dr. Desrosiers did not hesitate in giving me more short acting anesthetic. It was fantastic to have this completed and to have felt no pain other than the very first shot. Less than 4 hours later all the drugs had worn off and my tooth feels absolutely fine. No residual pain, even a day afterwards. I highly recommend Dr. Desrosiers if you need an endodonist. He is personable, professional and efficient. I also recieved a follow up phone call the day after just to see how I was doing. It was a very nice and thoughtful touch. P.S. He also sings and hums while working on you. I found it to be endearing and helped me to relax and trust him to do what he does best.

I assumed insurance wouldn't pay anything but she ran it and they ended up paying some! I really appreciate her doing that. Today, I had the root canal and the entire staff was super friendly and caring, including Dr. Ashkan. He explained everything and made sure I was comfortable the whole procedure and it was over before I knew it! A huge thank you for making this experience so pleasant. It's not every day you find a dentist office that is actually pleasant to deal with. (This was the Glastonbury location)

A Root Canal... That I'd Actually Go Back For? Yes!…read more I never thought I'd be writing a positive review about a root canal, but here we are. I had some urgent dental work done by my regular dentist in Longmeadow, MA, who found a cavity under a crown that required removal and ultimately a root canal. Unfortunately, I'm recently retired and, like many in that boat, have little to no dental coverage. UnitedHealthcare offered no help, so I knew I was looking at an out-of-pocket expense--and I wasn't thrilled. I spent the better part of an afternoon calling around to various endodontists, explaining that my dentist had already diagnosed the issue and I just needed the procedure. But many insisted on separate consultation visits and couldn't see me for another 2-3 weeks. Meanwhile, I was in serious pain with an exposed tooth. Then I called Dr. Christopher Carrington's office in Hartford, which was a little farther than I hoped to travel--but it turned out to be the best decision I could've made. The office staff was professional and understanding. Despite having no insurance, they were transparent about the costs and, best of all, they fit me in the very next day. From the moment I walked in, Dr. Carrington put me at ease. He welcomed me warmly, explained every step of what was about to happen, and made the environment far less intimidating with a great sense of humor. (I actually had to ask if he was the doctor--he was that personable.) While there was some trial-and-error in dialing in the right amount of Novocaine (he didn't skimp on comfort once he got it right!), the rest of the procedure went incredibly smoothly. He worked with efficiency and care, explaining everything as he went. My tooth, it turns out, was more complicated than average--three roots with twists and turns--but he handled it expertly. No one ever wants to get a root canal, but if you do need one, I genuinely cannot recommend Dr. Carrington highly enough. He took a stressful, painful situation and turned it into something manageable--almost pleasant, believe it or not. Thank you, Dr. Carrington and team--you've earned my respect, and if needed, I'll be back (hopefully not too soon!).

My. dentist tried to direct me to associates that were out of network that were going to cost me a pretty penny...thankfully I was fortunate to find this safe haven hidden in Hartford with expert care that saved me when I was at my lowest. Dr Carrrington is a humble and skilled practitioner who goes above and beyond for his patients. His office manager Tanya has worked for him for 20+ years so I knew this was a good place that treats people right. In addition, when I parked there was a scripture 1 Samuel 7:12 in the yard and I knew God brought me to a safe place. Did I mention the building is lovely with state of the art dental equipment with all the bells and whistles? I can't say enough about this wonderful office.
