I can't say enough good things about Dr. Kevin Christ. He's not just an excellent dentist -- he's one of those rare people who brings skill, heart, and genuine care into everything he does. When I first came to him in early 2023, my teeth hadn't been seen professionally in a while, and I was nervous about what he might find. From the very first visit, he immediately put me at ease. He talked me through the process, explained everything clearly, and held such a calm, understanding presence that my dental anxiety melted away. My cleaning was deep and took over an hour, but he approached it with so much compassion and patience that what could have been stressful became reassuring instead. Since then, Dr. Christ has taken care of everything from stubborn plaque to cavities, and he's been incredibly gentle and aware around my old wisdom tooth removal sites -- which were botched by a previous dentist years ago. He truly listens, adapts, and treats each tooth like it matters (because it does!). This past May (2025), I developed an abscess on the gum beneath one of my lower front teeth -- the one with a slightly receding gum line. When I reached out late at night, not only did he respond -- he called me personally to walk me through what to do, reviewed photos I sent, and got me in first thing the next morning. He handled everything quickly and skillfully, saving my tooth from being extracted and, honestly, saving me from a lot of panic. He stayed attentive in follow-up visits, tracking the healing closely and making sure everything stayed healthy. When I first went to this man for help, I was immediately soothed by his bedside manner, and he convinced me he would do everything he could to help my dental phobia and fix the excruciating pain I was in. Four appointments later with him, costing almost 20k, I found myself in continuous pain, new cracks in the teeth he claimed to fix and in fact hospitalized from over use of ibuprofen from the excruciating tooth pain he promised to fix. My fifth appointment, I had made months later bc let's be real, why would I keep going to someone who has only been taking money and not willing to show the work he had completed. Instead he threatens me, became very hostile when I expressed my concerns to the nurse. While standing very menacingly over me, honestly frightening me, he refused to go forward with any help at all without an apology from me while calling my hysterical and manic. I kept crying to him and the dental tech to please please help me, and I was accused of being hysterical. Of course I was, I was in pain and he knew of my medical phobia that I've dealt with for over 20 years. I ran out of that office as fast as I could and he mocked me and accused me of making it all up in my head (even though I was there for two crowns that HE IN FACT diagnosed). He might be a fine dentist for basic work, perhaps even for children and bedside manner. But what my experience was an egotistical sadist who does not seem to care about his patients. He'll make you think he does, sedate you, all that stuff but don't be fooled. Look at the other low end reviews and you'll see many who have had the same situation as myself. I believed in him. The staff here are mostly wonderful--kind, patient, and accommodating. My experience with the hygienists was great; they were understanding of my trauma and made me feel safe during the cleaning. Unfortunately, Dr. Christ's bedside manner was concerning. He dismissed my trauma and misinterpreted my anxiety, making me feel uncomfortable and unheard. I wasn't given sedation correctly before my procedure, and as a result, I experienced a lot of pain and distress. Dr. Christ didn't acknowledge my discomfort, and there was no proper system in place to assess my anxiety. The office staff was supportive, but I will not return due to my experience with Dr. Christ. I also found the religious symbol in the exam room inappropriate in a medical setting. I hope the compassionate staff finds better opportunities. read more

I need no longer fear the dentist! On the recommendation of a co-worker, I made an appointment for a consult and cleaning with Dr. Christ last week. The previous dental office I went to to had different faces each time, which doesn't really instill a sense of confidence that people are going to know what is going on in my screwed up mouth. (Did you know that I was in braces for 5.5 years? Not cool, man! Talk about a world of dental problems...) After a quick mapping of all of my dental work by his assistant, Dr. Christ came over to chat. I liked that he spent some time getting to know me before diving into my dental concerns. Then he was quick to assure me that he didn't think I needed the 4 ADDITIONAL crowns that were recommended by the last dentist! (I've already got 4 of those suckers.) He did recommend replacing some of my fillings which were actually just replaced themselves just a few years ago, but I do have some sensitivity in those teeth so I'm down with that. He did a great job of putting me at ease, which is not the easiest thing for me given my complicated dental history. After the consult, I went to see Susie the hygienist. She was super-friendly and explained a lot of stuff to me that no one ever had before. I did think it was funny that she observed that I'm a "mouth breather" - it's sinuses & allergies, I swear! OK fine...I'm a mouth breather. Oh, I also like that they are a pretty high-tech office - they did digital bite wings right to the computer, and Susie even had a little camera on a wand that she stuck in my mouth to take photos of my fillings. (That way if my insurance complains about paying to replace my fillings yet again, they have photo proof that they NEED to be replaced.) All in all, I was happy with my visit and I'm going back this week for the fillings...and I made a cleaning appointment for the hubs too! read more

I figured it would be most appropriate for me to wait until after I healed from having my wisdom teeth removed to write a review... so here it goes! I've been going to Dr. Christ for about 4 years for my dental work and I really couldn't ask for a better office to take care of me. Not only is the front office staff incredibly friendly, but they know their stuff. Any time I've had a question on billing or procedures, someone is available to jump right in and help me. I realize that is how every office should operate, but that just isn't how things tend to work these days. They've upgraded in the past year to do more things electronically, so I get email notifications when I have an appointment, and you can log in to their website for other services, but I can't speak to it since I've never used it. They also do digital x-rays, which shaves just a bit more time off the visit. The hygienists are very gentle when they're doing your cleaning, and Dr. Christ doesn't harass you to get dental work done that you don't need. He watched my wisdom teeth from the time I started going there to see if they've shifted enough to justify getting them out. When they eventually got to the point where it was a necessity, I was able to opt for IV sedation (I hate mouth pain). His anesthesiologist is also a fantastic guy, and I'm not just saying that because he put me under! Dr. Christ can definitely put you at ease when it comes to being afraid of the dentist. I was referred to Dr. Christ and had a terrible expereince. I needed a filling replaced as a crown. That appoitment went fine and I thought everything was ok. Then I started to have pain in my tooth and had to go back 5 times to have them correct the bite. Each time I had to go back I waited at least 45 min in the chair before the doctor would see me. One time I heard him having a friendly conversation with another patient for 30 min, while I waited in pain in the next room. I found a new dentist that is great and showed me an x-ray of the crown that was put in by Dr. Christ. It showed significant gaps on both sides of the tooth. The new dentist reffered to it as one of the worst crowns he has ever seen. Never in my life have I had to wait so long for such terrible work. Save yourself a lot of time and hastle and do not use this guy. read more

I've been a paramedic for almost 28 years and in the business of helping people. I've also seen the same dentist for the last 25 years (not Dr. Christ) and due to geography and a move to this area i had to see another dentist. I went to have my teeth cleaned by Dr. Christ's office and the hygienist was great and very nice and did an amazing job. I was told I needed some stuff done. A crown replaced and a couple small fillings so I scheduled an appointment. I'm in the middle of being medically retired and today was the last day before my insurance was cancelled. It's great insurance and paid 2/3 of my bill. I ask Dr. Christ if he would hold a check for 7 days for the balance of 440.00 dollars and he refused after telling me he was all about solutions. So not only was he out the insurance money but mine too. It's too bad that those in those positions don't really care about the person or your health. If I turned away everyone that called 911 because of insurance it would be a sad world. I'm about the people. It's obvious to me that Dr. Christ is all about the money. Even though he would have had all his money in a week, he turned me away and instead of him telling me he made his office assistant do it. So he lost out on almost 2000.00 dollars today. I'm not a person who uses Yelp on a regular basis and I'm not a complainer but this is just over the top to me. I guess I thought everyone was like my prior dentist. He always took payments and when my brother needed work ( lots of it) with no insurance he did all the work and was happy to take payments. He was always there for my children even when skiing in the sierras with his family if they had an emergency. Explore further... When looking for a dentist. Find one who truly cares about the patient. Everyone has troubles at times and I know the office can't go broke, but it's obvious Dr. Christ is all about the money and not about the patient. Let's face it -- Nobody really likes going to the Dentist; however I have never had a better, more professional experience than at Dr. Christ's office. From the moment that I called the front desk, I was treated with courtesy like I never have experienced before. When an appointment became available, Dr. Christ's office called me immediately and I was able to get in quickly. As a first-time patient, I wasn't sure what to expect when I arrived. What I found was a state-of-the-art office, immaculately decorated and modern. Finally, a dental office that is designed for adults, too! Truly, a lot of thought went into making patients feel comfortable here -- starting with the layout and design of the office. I have never been to a dentist where I could gaze at a lake and a water fall as I was having work done. I love the new location. Dr. Christ's staff was so kind. I am a very jittery hard-to-calm-down patient when it comes to dentistry. His staff assured me that a lot of people are this way, and that they would do everything they could to make me comfortable. And they did. Dr. Christ himself is a charming, affable, clearly knowledgeable man, who operates with integrity that I haven't experienced before. A dentist over a year ago recommended everything from sealing teeth to having procedures done to regrow bone. He was always trying to sell me something. It seemed he was always trying to sell me something. Dr. Christ was the opposite. He told me, "I wish I could tell you that you needed a lot of work. Everything looks pretty great." And this was after I had inquired about more expensive procedures -- but he simply said he wouldn't be able to look himself in the mirror if he sold me stuff I did not need. He thanked me for coming and it really felt genuine. In fact, all of his staff thanked me personally. I really left feeling great. Side note: A pet peeve I have: It seems that a lot of dentists think their Web site and office are supposed to be showcases for pictures of their wife and kids and latest vacation and opportunity to sell their religion to you. I have actually felt uncomfortable in some of these offices because it feels like I'm intruding in their living room or something. Dr. Christ's Web site isn't a showcase of photo albums of his family. It is professional and relevant. His office reflects a similar taste. There are only a couple of reviews on this site that rated Dr. Christ poorly. I don't know their experience (One was not a patient at all -- Yelp should remove the review, IMHO -- Melissa M.) but I can tell you that mine was impeccable. This is also the first review I've ever written for a dentist. I highly recommend him and will not hesitate to refer my friends and family. read more

I love this office because it has the most warm, luxurious waiting area with a fireplace! This is a full service dentist office and Dr. Christ runs it like an efficient, friendly small neighborhood business. I appreciate his honest "tell it like it is" approach to all dental work and he is always willing to work with you. The dental work was prioritized and completed as needed. After the crowns were completed I have had 10 years of smooth sailing dental care with only minor issues during my semi annual checkups. This dentist performed several thousand dollars' worth or work on my teeth, fracturing one, and in when I went back for a cleaning, his staff said that I had waited too long (12-18 months or so) and that I would be considered a new patient; the cost for a cleaning would be upwards of $400. I attempted to reach out to him personally to discuss my concerns but his staff answered on his behalf. My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Christ since 2005 and we have been very happy with the experience. We've had a number of procedures: root canal, crown, wisdom teeth removal, and fillings and we have been pleased with everything. The dental hygienist there, Suzi, is a lovely lady and so gentle. In addition, I cannot say enough about the fact that they actually run on time. I never have to wait more than 5 minutes to get taken back to the room and actually seen quickly. My husband and I have been going to Dr. Christ for about a year now after we decided we were unhappy with our previous dentists. I've had a lot of dental work done in my life and have come to really dislike the whole process for multiple reasons and was apprehensive about the experience. Dr. Christ and his entire staff are amazing. Everyone I've dealt with has been patient with all my questions and concerns, have worked with me patiently as I try to figure out my insurance, have been receptive to my pain levels and have made sure that I'm comfortable throughout the process. I've had two crowns done and the procedure went as well as it can go. When I had serious pain that followed the procedure Dr. Christ even came in on a Saturday to adjust my bite and has made an effort to work on getting my bite better which I really appreciate. The office is clean and welcoming, the tech they use seems advanced and up to date, scheduling is easy and Dr. Christ is committed and accessible if you run into trouble. I have been to a lot of different dental practices trying to find one that didn't try to sell you on unnecessary procedures or cause undue stress and pain and am happy to say that I finally found the one I will be staying with and recommending to my coworkers and friends. My hygienist, Barb, did a completely painless job of cleaning my teeth and putting together a full set of low radiation computerized x-rays that showed that I fortunately did not have any cavities or other problems. Dr. Christ is a good friendly guy and did a thorough exam confirming that my teeth are in great shape and not in need of the myriad of high dollar work that other dentists would immediately start pushing on the first visit. I did end up having an old metal amalgam filling replaced on my back molar which Dr Christ did with the porcelain(?) filling which matches the tooth and looks 100% better than the old filling. Fortunately I had this done because the filling ended up having some decay under it that Dr. Christ was able to drill out and fill after taking out the old filling with his assistant Ashley doing a great job supporting by keeping the tooth cool while drilling out the old filling as well as air suctioning out any of the potentially harmful amalgam smoke/residue (very important unless you want to be breathing mercury!) I understand that putting in the newer fillings on molars takes some finesse and skill on the part of the dentist and a lot of dentists still use the older mercury based amalgam fillings on back teeth. I am happy this all around modern office was able to provide this level of care and I will definitely be back for a six month cleaning and for any other dental problems that may arise in the future.
