I cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. Catalano. I suffer from dental anxiety, which is why I had my wisdom teeth removed 20 years later than I should have. I waited until I was in severe pain until I finally made an appointment. Everything about the entire process was amazing. From the initial call, scheduling, the front desk staff, pre-op consultation, day of surgery, and post-op visit, everything made me say "why didn't I do this 20 years ago". My pre-op consultation was very thorough and I left with an understanding of everything that would happen, and was actually pretty calm about the procedure. A nice plus is that Dr. Catalano provides his patients with prescriptions before surgery, so there is no awkward "post-surgery drooling at the pharmacy counter" scenario. Day of: I arrived at my appointment time and was taken into the room, they had the History channel playing on the TV as a nice distraction. I was covered in a blanket and an oxygen tube was placed under my nose. I was able to relax a little bit before Dr. Catalano started the IV for my anesthesia. (Another perk: He uses pediatric needles so they don't leave those unattractive bruises on your hand). Once the IV was in and Dr. Catalano started the anesthesia, I remember about two words and then I wake up to being wheeled out of the building. Dr. Catalano did Novocaine shots before I woke up from my surgery therefore I wasn't in pain right away. It wasn't until about 8 hours later that I began to feel anything. I was sent home with a post surgery ice pack and instructions to sleep and rest. The front desk staff called later after my surgery to make sure I was doing okay and did not need anything before they closed for the weekend. I had my surgery on a Friday thinking I would need the entire weekend to recover, however I was functioning the next day, and was back to work on Monday. No one believed that I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed (with 3 of them impacted and requiring stitches) just days before. I had minimal swelling and had minimal pain during my recovery period. My post-op visit was a simple check to make sure I was healing properly, and to provide me with a syringe to assist with cleaning out the extraction areas. I can't thank Dr. Catalano and his staff enough for getting me through a procedure I had been terrified of for years! I will forever refer anyone needing oral surgery to this office! read more

Dr Catalano is WONDERFUL - knowledgeable, experienced, and personable! I did have an unfortunate communication incident with one of their administrative assistants. But - it was quickly addressed by Dr. Catalano and his office staff. Greatly appreciate the level of customer service, and that their patients are important to them. Simply the best doc and staff for oral surgery. I guess when you look at his credentials, it is obvious he has very high marks from his peers voting In 5280. One award Says he is one of the best in the WORLD. I BELIEVE IT! Dr. Catalano explained everything during procedure. Absolutely painless and even needle pricks for numbing were easy. I had serious extenuating circumstances and unlike other surgeons Doc C. Met them with logical solutions. read more

I had a great experience getting my wisdom teeth removed with Dr. Catalano. Staff was very nice and answered all of my questions (I had a TON of questions about what my insurance would cover and what I had to pay out of pocket- ended up cheaper then I expected). I was extremely anxious and on edge about the operation, but I felt that I was well taken care of. Post operation instructions were explained thoroughly to the person taking me home. I had no complications and everything healed nicely and I experienced very little pain during the entire process. The post-op visit seemed a little rushed, but since I didn't have complications so I wasn't too concerned. I would highly recommend Dr. Catalano and would go to him again- hopefully though I won't need oral surgery any time soon. read more

My son needed to get 4 teeth pulled for orthodontic reasons and I was referred to Dr. Catalano. I was told to pay $125 for the consultation visit. I'm happy with the way the surgery went, but I'm not happy with how the billing was handled. He is contracted with my insurance and I was given their fee for a person who doesn't have insurance for the consultation. After checking with my insurance they never billed the consultation fee. . When I called to inquire, the receptionist told me they never bill for services they know the insurance company will deny. Not until I said, what the office was doing was fraudulent did she agree to submit the claim to my insurance company. Now after my insurance has processed the claim, I was only supposed to pay $65. They also overbilled me for the nitrous oxide. Beware of their billing practices!!!! read more
