Nice sized waiting room that's clean and comfortable facing the front office staff! It even is kid friendly with a little kid's area that had a kiddie sized table with several little chairs that looked like teeth! The staff is exceptionally patient oriented and very knowledgeable about procedures and co payments. Exam rooms are decent sized and equipment looks up to date and well maintained. The Dentist had a great bedside manner and explained everything that was wrong with my molar - why I was in pain and that before it was extracted I had to be placed on antibiotics because I still had a residual infection and once that was cleared I would be referred to a oral surgeon. I was very pleased with this experience and will use this practice as my Dentist from now on. A much better experience than my last dentist!

I called my insurance company and they stated the dental practice does not need my SSN. They only need my insurance member ID. I spoke to the business office manager and she stated they want the SSN so they can send you to collections if the bill is not paid either by the insurance or patient. Underhanded business practice! They should be ashamed!

They were extremely kind and caring, explained everything and most importantly answered all my questions no matter how silly. They called me at home and went over everything before the surgery which put my mind at ease. The doctor and nurses were fantastic and I fell asleep quickly, waking up a short time later with everything done. Post op directions were given to me and my husband with paperwork as I was still a little groggy. I was wheeled out to our car and sent on my way with well wishes and instructions to call if needed. I didn't need to call because I followed all their instructions completely but the office did call and checked up on me. If I ever need more oral surgery I will go there again - but I'm hoping I don't have to!

I'm so glad I did my homework and found the BEST in the area. The Shuayb Dental Institute in CRYSTAL RIVER IS THE BEST! Apparently, there are several Shuayb Dental Institute around here but the Crystal River location is terrific and the dentist is HOT so it makes it a whole lot easier to go to the dentist. They were thorough, took X-rays and I spoke to the dentist. I am now scheduled for a cleaning. I'm looking forward to a long relationship! I had sedation gum surgery and felt NO pain. There were several follow up appointments and I have to say that from the first visit to the last, I felt like I was well taken care of. The staff is wonderful. The Periodontist was fantastic. I just can't believe that I had dental gum surgery and it never hurt. So, don't delay, call Dr Johnson and meet him and his staff. The people at the front office were very professional, friendly and communicative. I had a vertical fracture that was quite painful. The first dentist I saw nearly sent me through the roof during the initial exam and made me terrified to consider treatment there. I then went to Dr. Darby and that pain free experience was like night and day. I also liked that Dr Darby was very thorough and spent time explaining the issues, discussing my options and making sure I felt completely comfortable.
