I came to this practice in a sort of round about way, as I originally had an appointment with Village Smiles, but when they were scheduling my cleanings the soonest openings were at this office, Wildwood Dental Care. Apparently the same dentist owns both offices, so they schedule across them sometimes, but each doctors(s) practice at only one of the offices (I'm pretty sure). First off - if you're new, and you haven't had complete X-rays in awhile (or sent yours to them), you'll need a complete set plus panoramic ones. That's a lot of x-rays, and it wasn't how things were done where I use to live, but they explained it well and it forms a good baseline for moving forward. Once you go through the initial appointment, you won't need that many again. My first appointment was at Village Smiles - that office is very large, bright and new. Many exam rooms. The staff was friendly. After my initial exam and x-rays, I met with a coordinator who went over my treatment plan and then scheduled my follow up appointments. I needed deep cleaning, so had 2 follow up appointments. As I said earlier, they were at the Wildwood Dental Office with Monse, the dental hygienist there. She is AMAZING - highly recommend her. I'm nervous about the dentist and have a horrible gag reflex and had zero problems with her. While I was there, I got to meet Dr. Ortega, the dentist in that office. He was very nice and has a calming presence. He gave me my numbing shots and I had the opportunity to ask questions of him. We have a special needs young adult and I wanted to ask them if they could handle our situation. They were very patient answering my questions and I feel comfortable scheduling her with them in the coming months. They also offer the ability to get sedation prior to an appointment via a prescription, as well as the laughing gas. They want you to feel comfortable and they can talk to you about all the options. They also do a wide range of procedures, as well as Invisalign. This office is smaller than the Village Smiles office, and older, but I much prefer this one. It feels comforting and less busy. If you are a nervous dental patient, this office has a relaxing vibe and the staff is great. They take dental insurance, as well as work with patients if they don't have insurance. We found our new dentist. Highly recommend.

They had 2 girls that were doing their thing. One was there to take X-rays the other information. I was wowed by the hand held xray unit, but I guess technology has advanced, so it was cool. I told the woman that i had a real fear of dentists, and she ran with that. I was talked to like a child,and when I left I felt like Id been condescended to. It wasn't comforting. The Doctor came in and told me ALL the if the work they need to do, including a bridge, but werent concerned with the reason I was there. The office is amazing, but I dislike being talked down to and sold on procedures i may or may not need. So I won't be going back.

I would prefer to leave zero stars. Be forewarned about this place. When they perform a cavity…read morefilling, they charge the numbing/anesthesia as a separate procedure and bill it separately (Code 9215). That IS NOT standard practice and every dentist I spoke with -- about 10 total -- told me that numbing is always considered a necessary part of the procedure and is NOT BILLED SEPARATELY. Of course it is necessary. But First Choice, unlike anyone else, bills it as a separate procedure. And, of course, United Health Care doesn't pay for a Code 9215 as a separate procedure (why should they. It is ALWAYS considered part of the filling process). My girlfriend was charged about $250 extra for numbing and when she asked First Choice why, they said that they bill it separately. No explanation why. My dentist was incredulous when I told him what happened to her. If you like a dishonest, rip-off business, this place will put a smile on your face. Otherwise, find another dentist.

When I arrived 10 min.early they said that they cancelled my appointment because it was not confirmed. I explained I did confirm. Girl said she tried to call my house. caller ID didn't show that they ever called other than the call I answered and confirmed. I asked to talk to office manager. He was very rude and not willing to try and work me in. He then stated that maybe their office is not a fit for me. what the heck was that suppose to mean. Then when they told me first available was 3 months out, I agreed with him and said that office is not for me. I have to wonder if the dentist even knows this sort of thing is happening. ‍‍
