First off the staff is top notch, the facilities are clean, and the office is overall inviting. I will not be using this dentist simply because of her demeanor, and greediness. I had a partial plate made less than a year ago, and recently I dropped it and it would not fit properly. Dr. Lee was always pushing for me to get the bridge (10,000.00), and when I explained what happened she said they would have to take impressions, and send it to the lab, or they would have to make a new one. She then also encouraged me to get the bridge. All in all they wanted 1,300 just to possibly fix the plate I already paid thousand for. I checked out another dentist, and low and behold for 58.00 they adjusted my plate and it fits better then when I originally got it. So buyer beware. The stafff did a great job cleaning my teeth, but Dr. Lee is just in it for your money! Also they will try and sell you sonic toothbrushes, water pics, and treatments every time you go in. Even after you tell them you bought the sonic toothbrush, and water pic they will still tell you to buy one. read more

My daughter's orthodontist is the cause of the poor dental health due to warning us verbally a hand full of times to make sure she does better with her oral hygiene or he would have to remove the braces that I paid $6K for, so we did that and he continued with them staying on when he should have removed them. He did not tell us anything else, so we assumed all was fine and even when the braces were removed, they took a panoramic of the teeth and he stated she only had a few small cavities, which was a complete lie! Funny how there's no apology for the lack of sympathy or care from you male office person or the owner. Very sad. My 16 year old daughter recently had her braces removed after 24 months and we have been to two other dentists for help due to her having cavities in every single tooth now, but the first dentist gave me a treatment plan for $25,000!! The second opinion pediatric dentist we drove an hour to said it would cost around $12,000. Then they told me they were booked out until May 2026! It was a huge shell shock and very stressful to find all of this out. I explained the situation to this dentist office and they are in network with my insurance. The lady I spoke to the first phone call was very nice and sympathetic. She made the appointment and I completed the online forms. I called back the next day 10/28/25 and a young man answered the phone. I wanted to make sure they received my online paperwork and then asked where I can send the current X-rays to for her appointment. Mind you, the two prior dentists already both did x-rays when it should have been done once. The man told me they do not take x-rays from other places and they would be doing their own. I explained to him that I didn't want to do that because then I'd have to pay out of pocket for them which was ridiculous and I'm a single mother on one income as it is. He did not care or show any type of care about it. He responded and said well then you would just have to pay out of pocket for them. I cancelled the appointment because I've never heard of any other dentistry who does this to people. The x-rays are legit and clear to read. This is horrible to do to people!! Huge red flag. That is not how you treat patients. Thankfully I found another place who even said how horrible that is to refuse x-rays that are good for 6 months. I'm not rich or made of money, but obviously this place is only concerned about the money first sadly. Do better!! No one should be forced to have to pay for x-rays out of pocket when they already paid for them through insurance. With everything so expensive currently, that's just horrible to do to people, especially a single mom on a single income. read more

I just had an appointment with Dr. Lee, my second one and hopefully one of many more. It was a very pleasent experience. Every one is so nice and friendly, from the front desk receptionist, to my hygienist, Christine, and to Dr. Lee. The environment is very relaxing. My wait time was less than 5 minutes. Very upset with their new office policy of not allowing any parent back with a minor child. This is completely unacceptable . I will not allow my child to be with a complete stranger for 30 minutes or more. Sure the doctor will stop in but what's the purpose if there isn't even an adult there to ask questions and be educated on what's going on. They obviously are not a Family Dentistry office but are only wanting adult patients so if you have children I would highly encourage you not to waste your time. Very disappointing. Went in as new patient and attempted to explain to the dental hygienist the issues that existed. He responses "I can see what you have, you don't have to tell me". It went down hill from there. Because, of his size he couldn't even lean over the chair. I spent the next hour with the head of the chair as far as it would go down with my neck cranked to the right so he could do the cleaning Dr. Lee wasn't much better in chair side manner. I again attempted to talk about existing issues, but she rudely cut me off several times. Because of a pre-existing condition on a totally different tooth she refused to schedule service for a cavity I would not recommend them at all. Plenty of good dentist in the area so you don't have to put up with these attitudes Now for a follow up I went to the Endodonist for check up. He laughed and said had she done a simple test she would have made the correct diagnosis. In stead she made an assumption in which she was totally wrong. We are new to the area and were in need of new dentists so this was the first visits at their facility for our family.The hygienist's were polite and personable to a point, but the dentist had little to no interest in getting to know her new patients. Dr Lee was very cold, came in, pointed out things that were wrong, not a positive or encouraging thing to say. As a life long lover of dentist visits and dental care I'm very underwhelmed with this office. I also try to instill excitement in our child when it comes to dental care and todays experience left them thinking they've done a bad job at brushing and their dental care. Again, while the hygienist's we're somewhat friendly, having a dentist uninterested in their patients as a whole leaves us most certainly looking for another dentist for our family. read more

Writing for a friend and a 7 year patient of this Dentist office. I have never been more disappointed with a dental office in all my life. Been a loyal customer for 7 years with over $15,000 in work done and am religiously every 6 months for maintenance. I went in today for a routine cleaning and THEY broke a filling, which I had done a year prior by Dr. LEE leaving a hole in my tooth. Instead of doing the right thing and repairing what they had just broke, she refused to repair it and wanted to charge me for a crown over $657.00. I asked 3 times to just repair it and they refused. Dr. LEE wouldn't even talk to me after requesting to speak to her. Dr. LEE and the cleaner were like RATS, just disappearing , sending the receptionist to talk to me. I left with a hole because of her ineptitude, slamming the door as I left. Keep in mind I paid almost $200 for the filing, which was less than a year old, which they broke!! Dr. LEE is not a good person in character, lacks professionalism or true compassion as a dentist should uphold in her own practice. She lacks morals or content/quality by evidence of her workmanship. I highly recommend you Do Not Go to Smiles on Citrus unless you want shitty work from a subhuman piece of garbage who only cares about money and not her patients. read more

I am very fearful of dentists, and I've had several bad experiences, so when I needed an emergency crown this week, I was very apprehensive. With Dr. Lee, and the folks at Smiles, though, there was no need for that. They explained everything clearly, their pricing was very competitive, and best of all, the procedure was nearly painless! The one time that she was drilling and I began to feel something, she immediately put the drill down, applied more medicine, and made sure I was totally numb before continuing. Plus, the staff was friendly and comforting. They even had this relaxing thingy to put my hands in, and a little doodad to keep my tongue out of the way. I walked away with no damage to soft tissue from carelessness at all, which I think is a first for me. And there was a water bottle and a lip balm afterward. Go to Dr. Lee. You'll love it. read more

When my husband started having pain in a tooth just before our vacation, we picked Smiles on Citrus based on their reviews and we're so glad we did. They were able to get him in right away and provide choices as to what could be done, telling us the pros and cons of each. When he opted to save the tooth, they made arrangements for him to see an endodontist trusted by Dr. Lee (who did a great job), then set up an appointment for a full evaluation. Dr. Lee explained what needed to be done, prioritized everything, and provided estimates. The staff is professional, pleasant, and friendly. They provide reminders for appointments and use online forms. We're really glad we found them! read more

I hate the arrogant attitude of this office. After scheduling the first appointment of the day and waiting for 20 minutes I asked if there was a problem this morning and got a blank look from the receptionist guy - what do you mean he says like it was nothing to leave patients waiting with no explanation or apology.
