You have access to either side of the park entrance off the main road. There is a crosswalk‍‍ and a beg button to safely cross. Watch out for coyotes in the area too. There are two porta potty clearly marked and camouflaged with the environment. SMART! I walked a few trails and blissfully absorbed the sounds of nature surrounding me. I like the ponds, the native wildlife and natural earth tone paths. One thing for sure is if you are out here for a period of time I would take some kind of bug spray. The mosquitoes were horrible. I also liked the sporadically places rocks, giant tree log, tree trunks and memorial benches place in this park. A soothing, gentle and relaxing atmosphere and area. I'll be back to explore more!

However, most of the time there is a lot more open spots to the left. I am currently in a softball league in which the games are held here at Olympic. The fields are always immaculate, but they are only used for games. If you want to have a practice there are other fields nearby. There are also sand volleyball courts behind the softball fields which are always nice to use and usually aren't packed. As this park is right next to the elementary school that I went to, I remember having several field days out on the large field. In the winter, I remember my family and I sledding down the snow filled hills and running back up to go again. There are so many things that you can do here. You can bring your dog to run around, have a nice quiet picnic or even have a birthday party. I seriously can't say enough good things about Olympic Park. The grass is so green and there is just something so special about this neighborhood park.

You'll first encounter a memorial area where you can listen to an audio explanation of the massacre and how the park hopes to memorialize it. From there, you can take the paved paths back through the park to the grove and over to a bridge that crosses a small stream. The majority of vegetation in the park is desert, but the grove and other areas dedicated to the victims specifically are green and lush. You can absolutely enjoy this park as a place to get some exercise in, or just to take the dog out - and the history just takes it up a notch. Highly recommended!

I like the cute little horse arena for horse riding. There are many trails with wild life and a beautiful play area.for all. This is a perfect get away for the kids so pack up plenty of liquids and bring some snacks or a lunch Don't forget the sunscreen there is minimal shaded areas to keep cool. There is plenty of parking so don't be shy and bring some friends along and enjoy this fabulous park!
