The good: the actual windows are clean…read more The bad: When daniel the owner is part of the team cleaning for the day it has been better service. However when he is not present ( majority of my cleanings), the techs dont leave the property they way the found it. Gates left open( i have a dog and a dog door he has free access too , so thats unsafe and very unsettling), their dirty rags have been left all over, screens not placed back on properly, and on one occasion, all their buckets and cleaning stuff have been left( that was the first cleaning by a very green tech and which took multiple texts between him and I as well as multiple days for the tech to retrieve his belongings) . Out of my 5 cleanings, Daniel was there twice and during those times things went smooth. Other negatives: sheduling and keeping the agreed day is difficult. Had multiple times where either the tech didnt bring the correct equipment for my high windows and had to reschedule, or the office sent texts confirming the wrong day and I would have to spend extras time to call or text to reconfirm, or one time the tech got sick and they had to reschedule. I understand things arise ( like illness) but repeat wrong days, repeat rescheduling, and or not having the correct equipment after you know my house is a bit of a problem. I decided not to renew my yearly contract and at last scheduled cleaning 2 weeks ago it was a bit of a let down. my screens ( this was inside and out cleaning) were filthy. I am under the impression that screen and tract cleaning is part of the service ( if i am wrong then disregard this part of the review and if it is , see photos). Tech piled the screens out front but either never cleans the screens unless off camera ( my security cameras have some but very few blind spots) or if he did clean them it was so minimal). I called thr office the next day to confirm screen cleaning was included and if so to report the mishap ( fyi they cleaned screens in the past and this feature is listed on their website). I had to leave a message ( which was less than 24 hours after the cleaning). However no one bothered to call back. I assume bc I didnt renew. Bad way to end tho imo. Wanted to support a young business. Even talked to Daniel around the 3rd service to express some of the things that could use improvement( in his defense he did listen and came for the next cleaning which went well) but after that, things still were sub par. How much does cleaning solar panels improve their output?…read more I had my solar panels cleaned recently by @sudandsqueegie. I had them cleaned only a few months earlier by another company, but I recleaned them because two panels were producing lower output and looked obviously dirty. The other panels did not look like they needed cleaning. I was surprised to see that the cleaning improved the output of all the panels from an average of about 340 Wh per panel to about 540 Wh, an increase of about 58%! The first picture is a drone shot of the panels, showing the two panels that were obviously dirty. The first panel picture shows the output of all panels before cleaning, and the second panel picture shows the output after cleaning. The panel output measurements were taken within 1 hour of each other at around 1 pm. It was a partially overcast day, so the output is usually much greater. However, it shows the amount of improvement possible with simple cleaning of the panels, despite them not appearing obviously dirty to the naked eye. It turns out the two panels that looked obviously dirty had cracks in the glass surface, and most of the discoloration was dirt that had seeped underneath the glass coating and could not be removed by cleaning. Surprisingly, not only did the surface cleaning of the two "dirty panels" improve, but it also improved the other panels that did not look like they needed cleaning! The original company that did the cleaning used a brush on a long pole to drip deionized water onto the panels. @sudandsqueegee used a long pole with two rotating brushes, which seemed to be more effective. They were very efficient and professional in their work. I recommend them highly.
