I wanted to get my Mother's fur coat sized and updated so I can wear it after she passed. I researched furriers. Living in and but visiting NY regularly, I went with Kersner Furs. have to tell you I am really disappointed in Kersner Furs' workmanship.They tout themselves as a 3rd generation furrier but think that's sufficient and that poor work is acceptable. We agreed that the padding in the shoulders would be removed yet it wasnt and that a kick pleat in the back of the coat would be put in, both of which did not occur. They said they'd fix it and ship it which they did. Nonetheless, you'd think they would have reviewed the agreement with list of what needed fixing before shipping it out, not. Besides being inconvenienced, I paid $1,000 and didn't get what we agreed would take place. Beyond disappointing. I do t recommend d them. read more

I remember the blistering cold day that I found Kersner Furs! It's 2 Years Later and I keep going back and giving Kersner Furs all of my coins!!! My full length Fur just wasn't looking the same and then I realized there are businesses in specializing Fur Products... It is run by a husband and wife and they provide exceptional customer service and their prices are pretty reasonable. It is about a 35 minute drive from my home, but I keep going back. They charge $60+ for a basic cleaning and glaze. The price goes up depending on the extra work that needs to be done, if you have any rips and tears etc. During my most recent trip I picked up a full length brown fur coat, a waist length brown fur coat, a white waist length fur coat, an orange fur headband and a red shearling. 3 out of 5 of these prices were in pretty bad shape; rips, tears and dirty. Oh the Shearling was so torn they had to add leather patches to the shoulders. I was excited about it, not going to lie! It was like getting my coat customized... a bit lol. My total was around $420 for cleaning and repairs... Awesome!!! I also dropped off a fur hat, fur ear muffs and a fur vest! Until next Kersner Furs!!! Oh! I find Kersner fur storage to be secure reliable and superlative fur repairI had long mink coat and asked for it to be cut down to jacket. Can't express my joy when on tried on my new mink jacket. Iam thrilled with the workmanship and would like to add wonderful wonderful craftsmanship they added hooks ALL down front of jacket to keep me toasty warm. Recommending to all very highly read more

I love the art deco interior and the owners! They have adorable earmuffs and slippers that make great gifts and cost way less than you'd expect. It's so nice and unpretentious in here. Please, everyone, wear fur. It's actually better for the environment than those polyurethane based coats that will never biodegrade. If you have an heirloom fur, take care of it with storage and use it. You'll be warm. Trust me on this. read more

A friend brought me to Kersner Furs when I mentioned I had an old mink coat that was very dated and I wanted to explore remodeling. Scott gave me great input as to what was possible and terrific styling ideas. I felt the price was very fair too. I picked up my new coat today. I can tell you that I love it more now than when I originally bought it. I'm so excited to wear this beauty this winter. You will feel very comfortable doing business here. Kersner Furs, was established in 1927 by Hyman Kersner and is located at it's renowned location in Brooklyn, New York. The store is now owned and operated by his grandson, Scott Kersner. Our extensive selection of ready-made fashionable furs are available for you to fit. We will custom make and tailor your fur of choice to any style. We carry a variety of shearlings and leathers. Our expert pattern makers, designers and finishers will suit your every need on-site. We also repair, remodel or trade-in your old furs. Update 10/16/2025 I have a pair of handmade shoes that I…read morebought on a trip to Lahore, Pakistan. The soles were originally made from wood and I grinded the soles down wearing them throughout the concrete streets of NYC. There was a hole near the top of the sole of the right shoe. Rafaello is whom I trust when it comes to repairing and refashioning any of my leather and fur goods. Rafaello was able to resole the shoes that were originally designed in Turkey with genuine Italian leather soles and Vibram rubber. After picking up the shoes, then I crushed a Monster energy drink can I had finished drinking to test out the shoes. It went well. That way I can know whether there are any lose nails and whether the shoes can properly withstand force. I usually jump down stairs in the subway skipping two to three steps at a time. The soles were properly stitched to the upper and the glue on the inside to hole the insole has also been well. I picked up the shoes in August, and no complaints thus far. He does the most amazing at this craft within NYC. I've dealt with others before, but I will not go back because I have different one of a kind gifts. I also dropped off a pair of stylish heel shoes that my younger sister wears from Birdies for court appearances related to her position. The heel was damaged and Rafaello made sure to refashion the shoes so they have better grip near the front and the heel is repaired. He made sure to polish the shoes before returning them as well. 12/10 with how professional, skilled, and mindful to detail that Rafaello is. When I wear down my custom motorcycle riding jacket from Lahore, Pakistan, then I know who to go to. Or the other pairs of dress shoes that I have. I'll wear one down, pass it to Rafaello without any worry, and start wearing the other pair of dress shoes to hit them with the daily grind. Thank you again, Rafaello! Legitimately, the best! I brang a very older beaver fur coat that had opening seams underneath the arms, had an old lining that was pilling and different clasps that didn't fasten properly. I had bought the fur coat second-hand and I did not know when the last time it was professionally washed and glazed. Rafaello made sure to find a beautiful red wine colored lining and embroider my name on the inside of the coat. He made the coat brand new again. He added better clasps that lock tightly and the coat is silky soft now. Most friendly and professional man. I would recommend him for any leather and fur restoration services. Surely a talented craftsman.

The store has thousands of bras, crammed into one place- if you can't find one there, it probably doesn't exist. A sweet young woman will take care of you. Don't let her youth fool you- she knows her stuff. After taking measurements and listening to what she was seeking (my 4 month pregnant daughter) she went to work bringing selections and on the first try -which almost never happens as my daughter is very narrow and large cup size- she she brought the first miracle- and it was so pretty at that. Fit her like the proverbial glove and it was wireless! The price was reasonable and though it required a few tucks of the straps- that small alteration was included in the price, to be ready the next day. She came out with several other options and among those was another winner- this one was wired but also proclaimed very comfortable- something that made my daughter very happy (and the grandmother-to -be so happy to hear that going to Borough Park for maternity bras turned out to be the best possible suggestion of the day.) I also availed myself of this wonderful opportunity and happily came away with a very comfortable one myself - for $50 - this wasn't no internet bra. Speaking of which, the place does seem very busy with its bagged orders seen hanging on the walls ready for pickup- I did not see this as a fly by night in the least. NY does not charge tax for under $110 for clothes BTW.

They come frozen & bundled in twos and are the perfect size, which make them easy for boiling. If you've never had a pastele before, they are sort of similar to a tamale.. except made with masa de yuca instead of corn flour. They are filled with meat, pimento, olives and more, all mixed together with delicious achiote seed oil, spices and herbs. FUR-Tastic and highly recommended! I thought nothing could be warmer than my Arctic grade mountaineering down jacket and fur coat was too old fashion for me. Well, now I'm a fur convert and Kersner Furs is my fur cathedral in Bensonhurst! Went first to Kersner Furs to fix grandma's old fur coat. All happened really fast - I saw one interesting fur coat on my way out. In less than 10 min, I walked out the store with my first and new fur coat. I feel comfortably warm much faster in fur coat. Don't dismiss fur coat until you give it a try! The fur coat is also very stylish, unlike the michelin man puffy look of down jacket. Kersner's quality is very high, no cutting corners and very stylish. Their fur coats are priced very reasonably. In fact, a fraction of the price of high end European designers "cloth fabric" coats! So ladies, be warned! The owners are a wonderful and charming couple Scott and Randy. Their personable service, excellent workmanship and knowledge are rare gems! read more

I have been dealing with Kersner Furs for many years and never had a problem. It is a family business and they have been there for many many year the husband and wife are wonderful people, they are pleasant and courteous and always aim to please. I have bought serval minks coats and ordered 2 customs hand bags done by them and they came out beautiful. I have bought, stored, cleaned and glazed allt my minks there. They had refurbished a long mink that got burned with a heater on the side and I got it back like it was new. Kersner Furs gives great service I recommend everyone interested in buying,cleaning, glazing,storing or refurbishing to go there. They are great!!! read more

I wish I had known Scott and Randy before I purchased my furs. My experience with them is related to remodeling and alterations. I first came in with a coat which needed the sleeves to be lengthened and they did it for me the same day. I then returned with 2 old coats, asking for suggestions to refresh them. Well, within a few days my 20 year old mink was updated and looks more modern and flattering on me. Scott lavished care and attention on my coats as if I had bought them from him. If you are looking to buy or refurbish a fur, this is the place to go. I recently bought a beautiful shearling coat from Kersner furs and also had my mom's mink redone as a vest. I couldn't be happier. The service I received was a-one! They listened to me as to what I was looking for and over delivered! Having a winter depression? Don't go to therapist--go to Kersner fur, guarantee it's cheaper and u'll get out from the store feeling happy & looking fab! On serious note--the collection is extensive, and if you want, u can even custom made your own fur coat. The owners of the store, Scott & Randy are amazing to work with.
