We gave her all of our information and told her we'd come back a month or two before the wedding to confirm his measurements and accessories. It was one of the most pleasant experiences of this whole wedding process. Fast forward to two months before the wedding, fiance stops by there to confirm everything. Nobody is there even though sign on the door says they should be open. Try calling later that day, no answer. Next day we try calling again, we're told by someone else that she's not in that day and they don't know when she'll be back. There's nobody else that handles tuxes in that whole place that could help us?? We stop by together another day, closed again during business hours. Fiance tries calling and visiting again, no luck. If the shop was closed on and off for personal reasons or literally whatever, the staff should have told us that and gave us more info on when we could come in. Each time we spoke to them on the phone they were clueless about anything. Finally we've had enough and reached out to a different Tuxedo by Sarno location on the island. Fiance explained the situation to the lady at the other store and she laughed as if it's not the first time she's heard this. She proceeds to look up our account and tells us IT'S BEEN CLOSED. Our wedding is in October, why would our account be closed? This went from being the most pleasant experience to the least, most stressful part. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else!

We went in, said hello, mentioned we were looking for Indian wedding clothes. When my husband found something he wanted to try, Ruchi responded and said "you cannot try that on. You said you are just looking, not buying right?" My husband responded by saying "How could I know if I'm buying something if I don't try it on?" She reiterated that since he had stated he was "just looking" that he would not be allowed to try any clothes on. At that point we realized we would not want to shop/buy anything there so we left the store. Thankfully, across the street at Vintage India a very nice young lady assisted us and we had great success in trying on/buying several outfits as was our goal. On top of that, I had a 2nd wedding dress from a sample sale that I needed to get reduced from a size 10 to a size 0. As soon as I had my first consultation with Catherine, I knew I found the right person. Catherine did things with my sample dress that no other alteration specialist in Manhattan would even agree to do for me. She's incredibly reasonable, keeps her word, works extremely quickly, and is an AWESOME seamstress. Also she is a beautiful human being, accommodating for my timeline as I had my wedding delayed due to COVID. For my first wedding dress, she was able to change my entire neckline, changed boning, and hemmed perfectly the endless layers of tulle on a very complicated dress. For my second wedding dress, she brought in the bodice several inches, and took up over a foot of the multi-tiered skirts. She also made the bottom of this dress detachable with a zipper for me. About a week out from the wedding we came to try our suits on as they were delivered for his special day. The first picture me (the better looking one/ no beard) had some minor issues, suit jacket was too tight around waist the shirt was tight which you can't see and the pants a bit too short as they hover about an inch or two above my shoes. My brother the groom (beard and muscle) had a major problem with his pants as you can see. Everything else seemed to be pretty okay except he wanted a new jacket as the other didn't fit right either. At first I was a bit concerned but then I understood this seems to be a trial and error thing. Luckily we came in with time to spare as stuff had to be re ordered and sent in. Pricing seemed a bit high to be at about $260 per tuxedo rental (everything included) but the quality seemed nice and the tuxedo looked sharp. Bradley and Layne helped us out they were awesome. Super accommodating and pleasant, whatever we needed they were there to assist. I am still waiting to get my suit for my brothers big day and will give and update then.

I came in as part of a wedding party to be fitted for a rental suit. During the fitting, the associate (an younger woman) actually insulted the groom's choice of suit. If the suit is so unworthy, why is it being sold and rented by the store? It was incredibly unprofessional and completely unnecessary. When I came back to pick up the suit, I was helped by a younger gentleman who was pleasant and gave me the suit bag. I tried it on and waited for someone to come take a look in case anything needed adjustment, but all of the staff vanished. No one was on the floor. After a long wait, I gave up and decided it would have to do. After changing back into my clothes, I packed the suit back into the bag. Still no one around, so I flagged down a tall male associate to check me out. Instead of helping, he snapped at me for packing the suit up myself, something no one had told me not to do. He rolled his eyes, groaned, and repacked it himself. Then, when I mentioned I could always iron the shirt if needed, he cut me off and barked "DO NOT IRON OUR STUFF!!! STEAM ONLY!!" in a raised voice and a hostile tone. Again no one ever told me prior that I couldn't iron the shirt. Completely uncalled for. To make things worse, the return policy required me to drop the suit off the very next day, on a Sunday, after a late wedding where I was nowhere near a store. No flexibility, no courtesy. The whole experience, from being talked down to, to being yelled at, to the complete absence of customer service, was unacceptable. If you're considering renting for a wedding or important event, look elsewhere. There are online rental companies and other formalwear stores that understand the importance of these occasions and treat their customers with basic respect. This location did not.

It started off OK- everything was in one week before our wedding. The guys all went and tried on their tuxes. Every single guy had at least one thing wrong whether it was the shoes, vest, jacket, or pants sizing was off. The worker assured us all pieces would be in 2 days before our wedding. When the guys picked up their tux, they only tried on the pieces that were replaced, not thinking they should retry everything back on. One groomsmen shirt had a hole under his arm pit, one had a rip in their shoe, ones shirt (that fit at the try on) was so tight it actually ripped, and my husbands father was missing his pocket square. That wasn't it, worst of all, my fathers pants (that fit at try on as well) were so big on him that for our first dance I had to HOLD UP his pants the WHOLE DANCE!! Can't wait to see how that looks in the video!!! What is supposed to be a happy memory for me and my father was absolutely ruined.
