He could not get the brown algae under control, I thought of getting a few estimates from Yelp. I got 4 quotes. Only Miguel made an effort to come by early friday evening (July 12) to look the pool over and see what needed to be done. His first observation was the lack of chlorine in the pool. He explained that was part of the problem and causing the algae growth. His quote was similar to the previous company. The other 3 companies did not bother to come and visit. One company requested photos while the other two just gave me quotes. 2 out of the 3 companies quoted $30 to $50 higher per month th what Miguel quoted me. And those quotes did not include chemicals while with Miguel, his quote was for everything. It will be 3 weeks this friday and I could not be happier. The pool looks clean and devoid of any algae. They have everything from smaller two or four person models, right on up to a large swim spa for the whole family! They even have models that can cool the water to around 60 degrees!And let's face it, with Bakersfield's summer heat, that could make for one refreshing dip! This makes a swim spa or hot tub a serious competitor when considering installing a built-in pool. With it being cooler than your pool and less cost and maintenance. We had our tub installed in November of 2023 and I have to say, it's awesome! The team at Hot Tubs Plus delivered, installed it and set it up. The process was pretty easy and with the model that we decided on, maintenance is a cinch. The saltwater system that we added on is fantastic and really helps with my sensitive skin. We love our new spa and it's been an amazing addition to our outdoor living space.

my son gifted his hot tub to us he had purchased a year prior from Hot tubs plus. he is out of the…read morearea so wanted to ensure the move and setup to our home went without a hitch. because of this he did not hire random movers but went to the company he originally purchased the Hotub to ensure the process was easy and fluid. It was more expensive but worth not having to hassle with an unknown. They sold the hot tub, they installed and set it up for him. He desired the same experience for us. Now, why the one star? Installers were late arriving to our home. Installers filled the tub, added a small amount of chlorine(they said) without the pump running. They did not add the startup packs or any other chemical. They would not modify the electrical outlet cover plate as they did at my sons. They said they could not. It is a small cut out of plastic at the bottom to allow the larger plug to fit. They left us with a plastic tub full of water and no chemical. We paid $750 for the move, $150 for the startup. We complained and they refunded $50. My son when he arrived 3 days later modified(cut an opening) in the electrical box, plugged it in. Tested when it was at temp, no chlorine present, other parameters were not near normal. He PH shocked the tank and added the necessary minerals. It is in parameters and operational. We will be able to use it for the first time tonight. 5 days after the "professional Local dealer install". Escalating to Claudia at the local branch was fruitless. She said they could not modify the plug as it was different than my sons. It was not. We would have had a better review if we hired laborors from the Home Depot parking lot. Less expectations = better results.

$3,000 DOLLAR VET BILL!!!! WORST COMPANY!!!!!! I hired this company to resurface my pool. Before he…read moreeven started I asked does it flake off in the pool at all and he reassured me that it does not. When they started I asked is it safe for my dogs to be outside and he said yes. I even have a pool fence around my pool so the dogs can't get close to anything they are doing. His worker took off his tennis shoes COVERED in fiberglass and whatever white stuff they spray to make the fiberglass stick, and put them outside the pool fence and in my grass! When I found them I put them back in the pool area. I was shocked that he would put them in my grass area let alone leave them at all. Take your shoes with you! Well do to this company getting fiberglass ALL OVER MY BACKYARD AND EVEN MY FRONT YARD my dog got fiberglass lodged in her throat!!!!! If my dogs get an upset stomach they will eat grass. Well $3,000 dollars later in vet bills, I told him this needs to be paid for and he refused. I specifically asked the vet if this was caused by anything else and he said no it is fiberglass. So I will be taking this company to court. They also BROKE my pool fence and didn't tell me!!! When I pointed it out he pretended like he didn't know. They regrouted my pool but when I complained that they got grout ALL OVER MY TILE he said he will clean it for a fee and they used a sand blaster which busted out the grout where the basket is and said they didn't do that. YOU CAN SEE THE GROUT PIECES IN THE DRIED OUT BASKET AND ALL AROUND THAT AREA!!! So I demanded that he fix it. He, at least, did that. Then after they were done I inspected the pool before I was going to fill it. I found fiberglass pieces EVERYWHERE and if you barely move it with your nail IT FLAKES OFF!!!!! I brought this to his attention and he said." Oh ya that should just flake off and go into the drain basket." I said this stuff got lodged in my dog! What will it do if my son jumps in and its floating around my pool and it goes into his eye!!!!! Plus I thought it doesn't flake off!!!! He came back and sanded it down but I inspected it again and there is still fiberglass pieces flaking off everywhere. I highly recommend to NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I wish I could give them a negative star.
