I had an idea in my head of how much it would be. William came out to do the initial estimate and they came in $5000 less than I was expecting. I had the flexibility to replace the tile and the filter because of this. My first contact was Feb 27th and the job was fully complete all the way up to chemicals on April 11th. I think they did a spectacular job and am very happy with my decision to use this company.

Before he…read moreeven started I asked does it flake off in the pool at all and he reassured me that it does not. When they started I asked is it safe for my dogs to be outside and he said yes. I even have a pool fence around my pool so the dogs can't get close to anything they are doing. His worker took off his tennis shoes COVERED in fiberglass and whatever white stuff they spray to make the fiberglass stick, and put them outside the pool fence and in my grass! When I found them I put them back in the pool area. I was shocked that he would put them in my grass area let alone leave them at all. Take your shoes with you! Well do to this company getting fiberglass ALL OVER MY BACKYARD AND EVEN MY FRONT YARD my dog got fiberglass lodged in her throat!!!!! If my dogs get an upset stomach they will eat grass. Well $3,000 dollars later in vet bills, I told him this needs to be paid for and he refused. I specifically asked the vet if this was caused by anything else and he said no it is fiberglass. So I will be taking this company to court. They also BROKE my pool fence and didn't tell me!!! When I pointed it out he pretended like he didn't know. They regrouted my pool but when I complained that they got grout ALL OVER MY TILE he said he will clean it for a fee and they used a sand blaster which busted out the grout where the basket is and said they didn't do that. YOU CAN SEE THE GROUT PIECES IN THE DRIED OUT BASKET AND ALL AROUND THAT AREA!!! So I demanded that he fix it. He, at least, did that. Then after they were done I inspected the pool before I was going to fill it. I found fiberglass pieces EVERYWHERE and if you barely move it with your nail IT FLAKES OFF!!!!! I brought this to his attention and he said." Oh ya that should just flake off and go into the drain basket." I said this stuff got lodged in my dog! What will it do if my son jumps in and its floating around my pool and it goes into his eye!!!!! Plus I thought it doesn't flake off!!!! He came back and sanded it down but I inspected it again and there is still fiberglass pieces flaking off everywhere. I highly recommend to NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! When we initially contacted him, we were concerned because the big pool supply place in Bakersfield was telling us we needed to drain our pool and pour tons of chemicals to make it right. Erik was able to diagnose that this was not the case, that rather our pool had just been drained and just needed the initial chemicals to begin (saving us tons of money and aggravation). He does our weekly maintenance and is good at helping us with any issues or questions we might have. Our pool is always nice and clean all year round. I recommend him if you are looking for a pool guy.

Out of the blue, in September 2023, they let me know they were raising my rate to 255 a month when I was paying 155. Its not like I own some massive pool, standard size for the neighborhood. I then shopped around and found a company already doing pools down the street that would do it for 130 a month. When I told them about Dependable Pool jacking up my price, they thought it was crazy and ridiculous and that would have been a huge ripoff. Glad I switched, I'm still with the same guys I got then, at the same rate with great service. So if you don't have any idea what you should be paying for a pool service, they are probably overcharging you alot and I would shop around. ​
