I had an idea in my head of how much it would be. William came out to do the initial estimate and they came in $5000 less than I was expecting. I had the flexibility to replace the tile and the filter because of this. My first contact was Feb 27th and the job was fully complete all the way up to chemicals on April 11th. I had the pool guy come to my house where I thought I had issues and he gave me the best price form so-called issues, but when he came here, he found out that may be a few switches were not in the right place. He tried to help me with the vacuum he tried to help me with a lot of stuff setting timers you name it everything. He said all in all he really didn't need to do anything wasn't going to charge me, but I insisted he take the money that I acquired him for. He did help out a lot. He did get my pool doing what it was supposed to do and he tried his best for about an hour or two in the heat. Would I recommend this man absolutely. Don't hesitate to get a hold of him if you need to get some stuff done. He will always come out and look at it and check out what needs to be done. He gave me a flat rate I couldn't pass it up pocketbook has everything to do with it. Any time I call any person whether it's a Handyman or a Plumber or Pool Guy. Don't hesitate to call Guy. Super happy I went with Bakersfield Pool & Equipment. They did an amazing job with the tile and plaster for the pool and spa. They installed all new equipment (Pentair VS Pump, Pentair 420 filter, Pentair 5G LED color lights for both pool/spa), and a skimmer. I had 5 estimates for the pool and equipment from various companies in town. BPE has the best prices when it comes to pool in town. All of guys who came to do work on the pool and equipment educated me along the way if Michael wasn't here on do's and don'ts. I highly recommend them. Our pool pump needed to be replaced. I contacted Bakersfield Pool Equipment & Remodeling through Yelp for some information. I received a message back within minutes from one of the owners. We were very pleased with the info & quote we got, pricing was 10% less than our original plans which was very helpful. Arrangements were made to have the work completed the following morning, a very quick turnaround which worked perfect for us as we were headed out of town for a few days. I received all of the information I needed w/out having to ask (arrival time, payment, length of time involved). The crew showed up the following morning on time. Crew was kind and helpful. The new pool pump was installed. No clean-up was needed on my part which is always a plus. I called them they came out and explained things to me and gave me good information to make a good decision on what repairs are needed and upgrades if I wanted to. Michael & William did an amazing job fixing an issue with our pool plaster. We had our pool resurfaced in April 2019 by another company. Less than a year later, we notice some large dark spots in the plaster. Unfortunately that company is no longer in business. We contacted a few other companies and decided to go with Bakersfield Pool Equipment Inc. They came out the next day and told us exactly what needed to be done. They drained our pool and did a complete acid wash. After refilling the pool, they came every day (sometimes twice a day) for a week to do start up chemicals and monitor the pool.
