Kerlaches is created and owned by the owners of former Kerlin BBQ and offer savory kolaches infusing their love for BBQ and kolaches. There are 4 kolaches they currently offer: Smoked Pork, Sausage, Brisket or for vegetarians, the Spinach & Feta. I ordered the Spinach & Feta and the Brisket Kolaches. The dough is incredibly soft and fluffy, but I'm more of an egg or traditional kolache gal, so didn't find my Texas Kolaches too appealing-- even though I really wanted to. BBQ Lovers, this one is right up your alley.

The kolaches here are really good! They give some kind of bbq sauce which elevates the flavors even more. I tried the smoked pork and the sausage jalapeno cheddar. Both are really good. Only downside is I paid about $14 for two kolaches. The size of the kolaches are normal/average size. Would've given 5 stars if they weren't so pricey.

SXSW morning and we had a short walk from our Airbnb we ran upon this food truck park. They had a wide selection of kolaches. The service was polite And super quick! My wife is half Czech so these needed to meet high standards. The steak and cheese were brilliant! So good, fresh, and full of flavor. Cool laid-back area and a ton of fun. Comfortable and a joy!

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I went with the spinach and feta, usually if they can do a veggie filling taste delicious then it probably is solid overall But I think I may have ordered the wrong thing. It was soggy and the spinach was past that perfect cooking point. Very friendly and nice lady behind the counter. I had to wait zero minutes and it was hot, right out of the oven. It was shaped like a little bun, not the typical kolache shape. Reminded me of a Venezuelan cachito. The dough itself has good flavor, a little sweeter. I will give it another chance and get a variety of them. Plus I appreciate the story behind this business!

There isn't anything I can add to what other reviewers have mentioned, as Kerlaches really does deserve their 5 star rating. 1st star-The dough, amazing. It kind of reminded me of an Asian baozi. 2nd star-Filling, delicious. 3rd star- Ratio of filling to bread, spot on. 4th star-Service, speedy and loved how they are served warm and ready to eat AND the box is labeled! 5th star- Ambiance, the food truck park is so cute and inviting. You can't go wrong with anything you pick, we actually got one of each offering and my favorite is a tie between the OG brisket+cheddar and the Sausage + Jalapeño + Cheddar Kerlache. I was surprised how I liked the Spinach+Feta as feta is usually not my cheese of choice. I also usually like pork, but this one was a bit under seasoned for my taste buds but now I know exactly what to order next time!

Unique textures and flavors. Bread different than most kolaches, with a light crispy on the outside and soft interior. A slight sweetness, but doesn't at all overwhelm the savory flavors introduced by the variety of meats and cheese. Don't sleep on this one. Perfect post-hike snack. Order one of each, if you dare.

Food: Pretty good kolaches. Our favorite was the Brisket + Cheddar and Sausage Jalapeño + Cheddar. Service and Ambiance: We went on a Saturday morning, and the food truck park was crowded, but there was no line. Our order came out right away. It was a nice, chill place to be. It was dog-friendly, there was plenty of outdoor seating, and free street parking.

I wanted to try this place because I haven't actually found kolaches that I like. Figured if I'd like any, maybe it would be here! And I have to admit, they were far better than any others I've had, but I think I'm also just not a fan of kolaches. Service was great, almost immediate if you're not waiting in a line. I tried a breakfast kolache and a brisket kolache. Honestly probably could've done with just one, they're very filling. I'd say I liked both equally. Overall recommend if kolaches are your thing!

march 4, 2023 * their sausage, jalapeño, cheddar kolache is AMAZING! Bread to filling ratio is PERFECT.

AMAZING KOLACHES located in the food truck park. What We Ordered: + Sausage, Cheese, Jalapeño; 5/5 + Brisket & Cheddar Absolutely loooved the SAUSAGE+CHEESE+JALAPEÑO kolache. I ate this while walking around the neighborhood waiting for food from another food truck. The sausage to bread ratio was perfect, not overly bready. The sausage was huge and tasty! My partner got the BRISKET+CHEDDAR, which he loved. This was one of my favorite meals while visiting Austin.

I consider kolaches a food group of it's own and I can seriously eat a kolache a day if that's what kept the doctor away. Kolaches are like the best hand pockets full of delicious toppings to eat on the go or while sitting down. What's funny is I've only had Kerlaches while at Palomino Coffee, but they are so damn good. Their brisket and cheddar kerlache is my favorite. Really hits the spot.

I'm a big fan of kolaches, and lately I've enjoyed the unique brisket and cheese kolache at The Salty Donut, so when I saw this place also offered a similar item, I knew I had to order one. They offer a handful of options on their menu, and there is a vegetarian option (spinach and feta). Card only, no cash. OVERVIEW: A solid, filling, tasty kolache for $5.95+ tax. I'd pick up one while in the area getting coffee from neighbor truck, Desnudo. QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, plenty of street parking (no meters). - Vegetarian option? Yes, there is a spinach and feta kolache option. FOOD RATING: - Brisket and cheddar kolache (5/5): Moist, tender, and sizable portable of brisket. Would have maybe liked a bit more cheddar, but overall very tasty. Warm, comforting, and a delicious way to start your morning.

Kerlaches is a food truck located in a food truck park. There are plenty of outdoor tables in this area and lots of free street parking. We came on a Saturday afternoon and ordered the brisket and cheddar kerlache, there were out of other items already. It was tasty and a generous size.

Tres Leches Cinnamon Roll - this is a MUST get! It will speak for itself. Not too bready - just perfect.

Fantastic! This is the ultimate Kolache. I've had all kinds from West, these are as good as the best, but with Brisket!

These kerlaches are so good. The brisket and the sausage are always great, but the burnt pork ends are my favorite.

Better than Czech Stop in West, which is saying a lot. Best kolache I've had in Texas.

It is also in a food truck park, so it's a good place to bring your kids, dogs, and friends to just hang out.

Very shady due to the large mature trees. There's plenty of picnic style bench seating to choose from. All in all, great Austin hangout!

I ordered an al pastor taco and chips with queso from CJ's tacos right before they closed at 7pm. The taco was good (a little greasy) but much better once you add the green sauce they serve with it on top. The queso was really tasty, like a better version of the tostitos queso. The food trucks are in a circle and surround a playground in the middle. It is a cool venue and while I wouldn't call it particularly nice, it is fairly clean. After the taco appetizer, we ordered gnocchi pomodoro and the casarecce with basil pesto and tomatoes from Artipasta with tiramisu for dessert. The pesto was good, but lacking in flavor a bit. The gnocchi were delicious, great texture and a wonderful tomato sauce. We honestly should have placed two orders for the gnocchi and skipped the casarecce. My friends liked the tiramisu but said it was a bit different from a traditional tiramisu. We wanted to try a vodka pizza from Day's Pizza but they were completely sold out for the day (no dough left). We tried the paneer entree and aloo paratha from the Desi Spot. The food took awhile to come out and I would have liked a few more pieces of paneer but it was all delicious. Overall a cool spot and a nice way to try a bunch of different food trucks and cuisines at once. Just check the hours for the food trucks you want to try before you go.
