My wife and I had a great experience here. She ordered the fried fish, and I had the cheeseburger. We both got Cajun fries, which were really good. The fish was seasoned very well, and the pinto beans and coleslaw that came with it were absolutely delicious. The cheeseburger was pretty good overall, though I'd recommend adding a little salt and pepper to really bring out the flavor. We also grabbed a lava cake to go. I was asked if I wanted ice cream with it and said no--but even though the cake itself was really good, I definitely recommend getting the ice cream with it next time. The staff were very friendly, and the environment was cozy and family-oriented. Overall, it was a very nice experience, and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. read more

My family and I eat at Kenya's often. The food is dependably good, and the service is friendly, even when the place is packed. My son claims that Kenya's sweet tea is the best in southwest Arkansas. There is something about the cheeseburgers that remind me of the way burgers tasted 50 years ago. I work in the area some days, and I call in an order. Kenya's is a great hometown diner with great local atmosphere and food. Their hamburger is probably the best in Southwest Arkansas. Their chicken fried steak is also a specialty of the house and I'm never disappointed... I eat there often and highly recommend everything on the menu. read more

Simple food, limited choices. Chicken, fish, hamburgers, etc.. One night a week you can get a decent steak and ok fish.

Kenya's has great food for a small diner. Everything was fresh and homemade, but most things were fried like a typical southern diner. There was only one waitress for the whole restaurant but she was very efficient and did a great job. I had a burger and fries and the burger was at least a 1/3 lb. Someone else in our group had the chicken fried steak and said that it was all homemade and delicious. Worth the stop if you are passing through. I AM RATING THIS A 1 FOR TODAY'S (11/12/16) ORDER ONLY. Again, ONLY FOR TODAY'S FOOD ORDER. I called between 12 and 1 pm and ordered 2 bacon cheddar cheeseburger's and a order of onion rings to drive thru and pick up. The SWEET young lady that took my phone order repeated everything I ordered. Yes, it was correct. I drove through to pick my order up and looked to make sure there was some salt and ketchup. There was 2 of the small packets of ketchup and about 4 salt packages on the very bottom of the sack. Since I had to remove everything to find it, that is why I noticed the onion rings. The bag the onion rings were in felt really light so, I peeked at them and I thought, well, they left some out or they had spilled out or SOMETHING! There was ONLY 4 SMALL ONION RINGS IN THE BAG. I said something to the young lady at the window so, she called the cook up to the window. She asked the cook how many onion rings was in a order and she replied 5. The lady at the window told her that we had only gotten 4. The cook left the window, then the young lady at the window said that the cook was cooking me some more. I told her well, I'm sorry I've got to leave now and I am not waiting on them. I have no idea how much I paid for 4 about half dollar size onion rings. The last time I got onion rings there, there was enough for my husband and myself. Then.............. My husband and I drove to the lake to eat our scrumptious meal. Low and behold the was NO BACON ON THE BACON CHEDDAR CHEESEBURGER I ORDERED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really? Really? Not only that, my burger meat was more white than any beef looking. It looked a different color than my husbands burger. I ate about one-fourth of it. It honestly did not even smell right. Well, I got to thinking about it ...did I really order bacon or not so, I called back to Kenya's and asked the girl to repeat my order. Yep, I ordered bacon, cheddar cheeseburgers. I told her along with the poor excuse for an order of onion rings, I GOT NO BACON, as I had ordered. I will have to say, the young lady was MORE THAN KIND AND SWEET AND NICE. I'd give her 5 stars for her service to me. I guess I gave the rating today for the bad cook and not being able to read a order. (The cook was a woman). I have ordered there A LOT and NEVER had a problem. The above burgers are GREAT and the Onion Rings WERE numerous and great. Today ONLY was just a terrible day for them....or maybe me. I told the sweet young girl, if I get sick I'm calling you back. And, I did not take her up on any free offerings Only because, Anyone can have a bad cook day. read more
