Instead, it was an 80-minute dental review that felt more like a sales consult no cleaning happened at all. I was then told the actual cleaning would take another hour, with zero warning beforehand that this would be a 2+ hour visit. I'd arranged childcare specifically for this appointment, so the lack of communication cost me real time and money. The dentists also came across as very junior recent grads with limited experience and awkward bedside manner. When I said I needed to leave, staff still tried to hold me another 20 minutes to go over pricing for recommended work. The next day, I discovered I'd been overcharged by about $300. Bottom line: Go in expecting long appointments and heavy upselling, and always get an itemized receipt before you leave.

Usually I come in every 6 months and I fill out a reminder card which is usually sent to me ahead of my next appointment. But the past few times I have not received a card in the mail so when my appointment is due I'm not able to plan for it. Edna usually does the scheduling and working with her has gotten progressively difficult. Usually she can put me on a waiting list and call a day before to confirm, but this time she said I had to call to confirm. This is fine but I questioned why she couldn't call as usual, and she just gave a non-answer ending with "whatever". I couldn't believe the disrespect! Edna has never apologized for the inconvenience (even in the past), knowing that it's usually very difficult to reschedule. Appointments can be weeks to months out (there is only one hygienist left). Anyway I'll miss having Dr. Chu as my dentist but I won't tolerate anymore the attitude Edna has displayed toward me the past few years. Good luck

I was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful service and attention I received. From the moment I walked in, everyone made me feel right at home. Dr. Au took the time to explain the entire process and patiently answered all of my questions, which really helped make me feel comfortable. Then the dentist came in and told me my prior dentist is no longer there. First, I heard of it. I advocated for a less aggressive approach. No one was listening except my new friend Zach! I switch the hygienist right away cause it was just another job for her and to be perfectly honest she didn't even exam my teeth herself. Be careful who you choose. The dentist who I just met was nice but I was not happy that a diagnosis was recommended without personally examining my teeth!

I feel Dr. Tso and his team do a remarkable job of not just focusing on the technical work, but on seatside manner, expressing interest and openness to how I'm doing in my everyday life, work, and more. I love every opportunity to chat with Dr. Tso and his team about cats, art, mental health, and thoughts on life and the meaning thereof. Our lighthearted but authentic conversations truly put me at ease, give me a respite from life's stressors, and continually leave me with a feeling of comfort and acceptance. Perhaps most memorably, after I lost my father a few years ago, and while feeling devastated and somewhat confused, I turned to Dr. Tso. He knew how to respond in the most kind yet professional manner, providing both a safe space as well as a model of boundaried compassion which I have turned to many times in my memory as an example of how to respond kindly to emotionally-distraught and/or confused people seeking support and care. The assistant dentist and Hala herself were both very friendly and honest. I didn't feel lied to or pressured to do anything I didn't want to do. With a thorough exam and cleaning I was surprised to hear that my teeth were in overall healthy condition with improvement in basic cleaning suggested. I have Cigna and it covered my cost after filling out my new patient paperwork and was entered to win a monthly prize, awesome! I was living in China so I use that as my excuse for not seeing a dentist . After moving back home I have found my preferred dentist! The area was relatively small with only about 3 seats for patients which I loved! Because you have more attention and then again I was the first patient of the day at 8:00am so that was nice!
