Be very careful when dealing with the owner of this place. I paid a $1,000 deposit for an event hall owned by the same person and was told I could cancel within 10 days. At first they told me I would receive my deposit back. Later they told me that if anyone else rented the hall for that date, they would return my deposit. Now they are refusing to return the money. I would not recommend this venue. I paid a $1,000 deposit to reserve June 6, and later found out the venue does not include a sound system, which was not clearly explained before signing. I was told verbally that I had 10 days to cancel, but when I asked to cancel within that time, they refused to return my deposit. Very disappointing experience. Seriously, stay away from this guy and his business. I called to ask about pricing and venue availability the guy that answered was unprofessional. Just said "hello?" I had to ask if this was even the right number. Before i could ask my questions he said "what do you want..." once i asked for availability he was asking me if in bringing turkish or mexican food?? Why the hell is that so specific and why the hell does it matter. He just jumped to tell me the price was $7000!!!!! Dude does not realize the kind of venue i can get for that money. we had an event there and it was the worst possible experience. the guy that rents the place and calls himself Dave is the most unprofessional person I have every encountered. the guy is a Liar and whatever he tells you will change. he will say you will rent the space for certain time then he will change on you, the price will change. please do your research before dealing with this guy and absolutely stay away from this place. The building itself is decent and the place looks ok but what ruins any good things this place has to offer is having to deal with a guy like Dave. I made the unfortunate mistake of leasing this place for my daughter's reception. The owner is extremely rude and unprofessional. He makes promises and then goes back on them. He acts very sweet until you sign the contract. He blackmailed me for an extra $2000 with a threat to cancel my daughter's reception TWO WEEKS before the date. He initially agreed to getting half the money up front and half after but then forced me to pay it all right before the event. Double check all the math because I had to correct the bills many times. Once you sign the contract, you will never see the owner. His arrogant manager will show up but has no answers and/or solutions except that he will "check with the owner". It isn't stated in the contract but he will force you to buy food from him at exorbitant prices. He promised to deliver the best food in the USA but it doesn't even make it to top 50 in Kent WA. He claims that the hall can hold up to 500 people. We were not able to set it up for 350 people. I doubt this place can hold even 250. I paid him $130 per server but later on found out that the servers are barely paid minimum wage. Be ready for an ugly experience if you rent this hall. read more
