I recently moved to the Bartlett area and decided to try Kenny's. BIG Mistake, The spa was very unprofessional. They rushed me to a chair after asking me what services I wanted. Never offered me a beverage as advertised. The tech that did my polish change was very short and unfriendly and definitely not experienced. I could have done a much better job. The tech that did my manicure and dip was not very engaging as well. She put the wrong color on my nails. I paid $50 and was not satisfied with her work and definitely not the color. I pointed it out to her. She said sometimes color gets old and polish doesn't match sample. Now I have a warm red on my toes and a hot fuchsia on my hands. I've been very loyal to Kenny's for over a year now. I experienced the worst service yesterday. A $65 pedicure that took her all of 15 minutes (Its a 55 minute pedi) and a manicure that left dirt under my nails. When I mentioned how she didn't file my nails she LAUGHED at me, and kept talking about how busy they were. Literally the worst nail experience in the 20 years I've been getting my nails done. First there was a 45 min wait, super understaffed. The lady doing my nails (judy) cut my finger 4 times!!! Never apologized when I would say please be careful. She kept getting up and going around the whole salon and just stopping in the middle of doing my nails. This was the worst nail experience that my two daughters and I have ever experienced. Our nails are all unsatisfactory, however the real issue we had was that two of the nail techs hurt us. My 14-year-old daughter had her finger filed to the point where she had blood dripping down her hand, where her fingerprint is!! Accidents happen around the cuticle but this was unacceptable! I made the mistake of paying before the services were completed, after receiving such terrible treatment and my daughter literally sobbing in her chair and in the car after leaving they still would not issue a refund. Even though my own nails and my other daughter's nails don't look great, I would have accepted a partial refund for my oldest's nails, not only do they look like eggs, she was literally traumatized by this tech. I wanted a simple french tip design with some abstract lines on two of the fingers. Instead of telling me she couldn't do that, she did it and it looked awful. Before COVID-19, I patronized this business regularly. I went in a couple of weeks ago and the services that I had been getting for $80 was now $126. I was shocked! They even charged to "Shape" my nails (I swear mine rounded, not squared). I understand that everything has different work ethics. I understand that some people can multitask and others can not. I slap understand that some people can't work in silence, they need to talk, listen to music, etc. But if you are interfering with the quality of the work you are completing then stop or find a new line of work where you can "focus less" Today I got a dip powder on my real nails, something I've been doing for years, and this was on of the worst experiences I've ever dealt with. If I could give less than one star I would. My mother, sister and I used to love to go to Kenny's. The quality, environment, and employees USED to be great. Today I came in and the greater sat me down, I picked out my color and waited for my nail tech to sit down and start. His name was Tony or Toni. Not once did he great me or try to engage in conversation with me. He say down, started on my nails, and asked the technician beside him what she was doing later on that night and another employee if he could do his nails after closing. Then he started talking to other employees asking them seemingly random questions, almost if he was just getting satisfaction from hearing himself talk. He then got a phone call, stopped doing my nails, and started taking on the phone. When he continued to do my nails he was doing them distracted. He eventually put his ear-pod in to talk hands free, but still distracted. When he started to sloppily apply the first layer of adhesive, me and the client sitting beside me also getting dip powder exchanged looks of concern. It would be one thing if you were on the phone and still doing your job and being professional, but this man was cursing, talking reckless to his friends, and using inappropriate language about how they were going to put their "coochies" together. It made me uncomfortable. Soon after that conversation he used "Hey Siri" to call someone else and continued to do his job "halfway". Once he started actually applying my color he noticed my concern. He said "I know it's ugly right now, but we gone make it look cute later" -spoiler alert it's still not cute. Once he seemed to be done with the shaping I had to ask him to go back and make my nails smoother. He still did not do that well. He then started to apply the polish to solidify the powder and then touch my nails before it was dry and messed them up. Knowing what he had done he still did not want to fully commit to correcting his error. He filed of the mistake on 2 of the 4 nails he messed up, and then applied a gel top coat. When I still had a problem with it and voiced my concerns he said "you don't like it "after" we put the top coat on" and walked away. I always give a little too much trust to technicians because everyone is different and I don't know their specific processes. So throughout the entire session I had concerns that I thought he saw and I just assumed he was not done fixing everything. He gave me attitude about not liking the work he had done and when I began to compare my nails to his manicure he got upset. I know good and well he would not be happy if the roles were reversed. I asked the greater if she honesty like my nails and she said no. I look at my hands all day and have to be conservative about how I spend my money, so my not leaving feeling cute or even that I got my $40 dollars worth is unacceptable and irritating. I eventually had to get another employee to fix some of his mistakes after Tony through a hissy fit. I can't wait for these nails to be redone by a better salon. Please Do better read more

My sister and i came here for a little girl time. We both got a manicure and pedicure. I decided to get matte gel on both. They really did a good job. I got here first thing on a Saturday morning. There were about 8 customers ahead of me. They opened the doors about 10 minutes late. I got seated for my pedicure pretty quickly. Pedicure was fine. I asked for a specific dip color for my nails and they gave me the wrong one. There were black specks all in my dip. They wouldn't redo it. I spent about 3 hours for a pedicure and manicure with dip. Worst experience I've ever had in a nail salon! My daughter and I went in for a pedi and dip, sat over an hour and a half soaking in cold water and acetone on my nails. When she finally came over my dip STILL wasn't ready and she poured acetone down my fingers into the wraps! PURE laziness! I needed a few tips on-she glued 2 to one nail and left a major gap in another one that if I hadn't of noticed would have gotten infected from water getting trapped. She couldn't shape my nails, couldn't clean up around my cuticles. I still have dip powder and glue on my cuticles! I had an experience lately at Kenny's nails at Whitten and Stage. They acted like I should be glad that they let me come in. Kenny was rude. He should tell the customers, that they do not have enough employees to do a service you want in a timely manner. Rather than make you wait for an hour. They seated me beside my friend who was having a manicure they took off the old polish and then I set for an hour, with no information. When my friend was done, that was all the time I had and I said to Kenny ..."you forgot about me" He said... ...."you have to wait your turn" I'm fine with waiting for my turn. I am not fine with you just loading up the salon with customers knowing full well they have along wait because you are understaffed!!! I came with a friend she was done and I had not gotten the Manicure I needed. They offered No apology , no ill get you a drink while you wait, nothing. Bad Customer service At Kenny's nails!!! If there is going to be a long wait for the customer since you only have 3 tech that do the service they asked for..... Looks are deceiving. I walked in and it appeared as though only one person was in front of me waiting. I waited 40 minutes for a chair. When I was put in a pedicure chair, I realized none of the ladies on my side of the room had been taken care of. So I had at least 4 pedicures in front of me. I just went with my friend and the prices were higher than expected. However, my friend and I just wanted to have a good time. We walked in and checked in and were instantly seated. It took 15 minutes for them to come put water in our bowls and start on my feet. My friend waited an additional 30 minutes before they started on hers. I couldn't use the chair massage because it screeched so loudly when I turned it on. I gave up and we continued with our requested services. After the pedicures my gel nails got done and my friend just had her manicure started with an ombré dip from light to dark across the nails. I waited with her and watched. It was taking a long time to complete, but they turned out pretty. As she was waiting to be done I offered to go ahead and pay. The receptionist told me the price and I paid with about 20% tip. All together for her and my nails and two essential oil pedicures, one with gel Polish, we paid almost $300 total. As we are leaving they stop us and say she didn't pay. I said yes she did. They said the receptionist did not charge fully for my friends nails and it would be an additional $27 dollars. Due to my friend needing to leave she didn't get the lotion or towel with her manicure. They said "oh we'll discount to $20" I am not above paying for services received, but when it is an error on the employee I don't think that is right. I said well there was a hefty tip, just use that. They said no because it was split between people. I paid the $20 and left. They will not get my business ever again. Today was my first time visiting the salon for a pedicure and full set. The older lady did my pedicure she did not clean my cuticles good at all and she could barley speak English So I called the other lady over to explain and she stated my feet look clean to her. I don't know how when I ran my nail across to show that it was not cleaned well and you could clearly see that it wasn't. Then she polished my toes worsted than a 10year old. Polish was not laying correctly why because my cuticle bed was not cleaned. I just left it alone and proceeded to get my nails done. I asked the guy who was doing my nails where was the owner he shock his head no. So I asked is the owner not available he said no but when I checked out the lady mentioned did you like your service from Kenny who was the owner. I paid $60 for my pedicure alone and it was terrible and they didn't care enough to try and fix it or anything. If I didn't have a wedding to attend tmw I would I left. I love the atmosphere and the area is really clean and bright. The staff is really nice, and they did a good enough job. However, the reason for the 3-star review is their tipping policy - so it was $45 for mani/pedi, and I tried to tip $12 on the card, at which point their iPad told me that this tip was too low for their technicians, and I needed to enter another amount. Are you serious? It wouldn't even let me tip $12, the system said this was too low and try again. So I cancelled and tipped in cash, but it was embarrassing and unnecessary. To start the young nail tech that did my nails was rough with my pedicure and then didn't know how to do dip so I had to switch technicians to the man that has the extra finger. I contacted them to let them know when I left that my dipping powder that's supposed to last 3-4 weeks had chipped and my toe nail polish had chipped (they put too many coats so it was thick). They wanted me to come in to "fix it" despite he fact I was leaving for a flight at 4am that next morning. I told them I trusted them to make my nails look good before I left and they failed. I received no response. In addition, they charged several "extras" that would be included at any normal nail shop. Several other things happened but the main issue is the time I spent here and money I spent only to leave with chipped and broken nails because they rushed.
