I wasn't going to write a review but everyone that has seen my hair is telling me I need to share my experience. I gave an extra star because everyone is very nice at this salon. I enjoyed talking to my stylist Lindsey however I'm very unhappy with my cut. I had about 5-6 inches cut for a new cut and it's terribly uneven and choppy. It's going to take months to grow back out. She did say I could come back to try to fix it for free which is nice however I'm not going back. Lesson learned not to go to someone new for a big change and yes I've had my hair cut short before but my stylist is no longer in ohio. read more

I booked an appointment for a hair cut and took a picture in with me of the style cut I wanted, i asked the stylist if she could do it and she said "yes." Well I have the worse hair cut I haved ever had. It looks like a 3 yr. old cut my hair. It looks nothing like what I asked for. after reflecting on this for several months this is my first time im having to write a negative review for a hair salon but here it goes.. i had jenny for three hair appointments in the last year (november, may, and august) for a basic root touch up on my bleached hair ive been getting done with no problems in california for more than half a decade. the first appointment she did a generally great job so when i got back from florida this spring i decided to book another appointment. it turns out that was a bad idea, since the right front side of my hair experienced really bad breakage after the appointment was over. thinking "oh, maybe it was because of the humidity change going from south florida to a drier columbus in may that made my hair end up super brittle". well... my last appointment in august was absolutely unforgivable. she left the bleach in way too long because she abruptly decided to work on another client in the middle of my appointment. i left the appointment early without drying my hair, not to mention she was so preoccupied with the other client that she had another woman tone my hair. regardless the appointment still cost 100$ more than what i pay at one of the best salons in ventura california. and to top it off she completely ruined my hair. the front left strands of my hair are completely broken and the hair was so brittle even after three months im having trouble getting the remaining parts that didn't break back to good health. i should have seen the red flags earlier but shame on me i guess. i thought after this ordeal maybe people in columbus just were inexperienced with bleached hair but that isnt the case either, i just got back luck and was recommended the wrong salon. im unsure what other recourse to take after this besides this review but i figure it's best that at least the public is aware. -Andrea read more

Mixed review here because my stylist was amazing but the salon itself is just ok. I had Rachel, fitting because my name is also Rachel . I first called the salon hotline and said I needed a full highlight with ash toner and a cut. They found a time with Rachel, and I asked how much time they booked and said 2 hours. That was the first red flag. I have had highlights and a cut many times other places and it is a 3+ hour job but I thought hmm maybe they have it figured out how to get it done quickly or something. when I went in and sat down for my appointment, Rachel was very friendly when she greeted me and asked , like stylists do, "what are we doing today?" And when I said full highlight toner and cut she looked confused. Apparently the call center only booked a root highlight and a blowout. Nothing what I called in about. But Rachel was willing to attempt a partial highlights and then schedule another appointment to get to the full results I wanted. But she also consulted that we could also just focus on the cut and schedule asap a full highlight and that would be a more satisfying experience for me. Rachel did an amazing job with my haircut. No joke the best haircut I've had in my life. I have so much, very thick, long hair. It lays so wonderfully and I hardly have to add product or styling to it for it to look good: it's effortless. We booked my follow up highlight appointment for the upcoming Friday, and that scheduling experience was much better. She also gave me pricing and a warning for the cost, but this was not my first rodeo, I expected it to cost a bit. It was pretty pricey but with how my haircut turned out I expected the highlights to be worth it too. And it was. 3+ hours, $350, I have the best hair ever. Rachel took so much care of my hair during the processing that my hair was so silky even after all the bleach. I love my hair and will definitely be back to visit Rachel and will now book appointments through the front desk / stylist going forward read more

I regret walking into this place and having my hair ruined by a senior stylist "Jacala" who claims to have 19 years of experience. This is what she calls "blunt". I was hoping for a pleasant experience and instead left with tears and my hair looking like it was chopped off with kitchen scissors by a teenager. When pointed out to fix the issue, she continued to give an attitude and kept chopping off bits a pieces in a hasty manner. When asked the management for help, we were told that ALL of the stylist are trained to cut hair in the same way. After having one stylist tell me that she would do my hair the way she wanted to do it and leaving unhappy, I decided to go with my only day off and get a new stylist. That was also a bust. When I arrived the receptionist told me that she may be running late, went back to check and said that she was mistaken and that Dee would be out to get me quickly. 20 minutes after my appointment time, I asked how much longer it would be, and she then told me that she just started someone and still had to cut, and blow her dry. I only have one day off and was getting ready to then have surgery. I have not had good experiences at this Kenneth's at all and do not plan on returning. Suzanne my stylist advised me that my hair will not always be the way I want when I asked why she took ALL THE BLONDE OUT OF MY HAIR AND LEFT IT DARK BROWN! I spent $416.00 for dark brown hair. I came in at 9:45 am and left at 3pm! The manager Holly justified it by stating that the same products where used and said would credit me for the highlights only and I can go to another location since they cannot help me. This isn't the first time I have left in tears but I am done with this place. The first time they turned my hair green then they had me go home with wet hair twice because the salon was closing and they didn't have time to blow dry my hair. They basically said it will be a 50/50 shot my hair will turn out right and that they spend a lot of work on me ... what ? I am paying almost $3000.00 a year to have it come out right half of the time??? WTH??? I am disgusted. My money will go to someone who can do the work right 100% of the time. read more

I've been getting my hair cut at Kenneth's for about a year, and I love my stylist, Maggie. She's always personable and will help you find the best way to accomplish your hair goals. I suggested making my hair a little lighter, and she gave me the best coloring for my hair and complexion. While Kenneth's is expensive, their styling and products are worth it. I love the Brilliance protection spray and their shampoo. Also, their Polaris location offers wonderful massages and mani/pedis. They even have a steam shower before you get your massage which is a great way to get into relaxation mode. read more

Oh man where do I even begin? I stopped coming here a little over a year ago and moved on to Penzone and let me tell you... it's a complete 180. This place first of all does not feel like a true spa/salon experience. It's very dated and feels more like a cheap haircut place. I used to come here to get relaxers and they were $60 so it was pretty standard pricing. The girl I used to see was nice enough but I could tell she was always rushed because she was doing my hair and 1-2 other people at the same time. There were also many times that she didn't completely rinse the relaxer out of my hair even, which is a huge no no. Well one day I came in and got the same thing I always get. The new price was $150! So, they DOUBLED the price and didn't even warn their customer before they got this service. So, I paid it and left very unhappy. I ended up going to Penzone and paying the same price but, in turn I got so much more. My hair has grown many inches and is the healthiest it's ever been! Fast forward to 2021, I really needed a last minute blowout and everywhere was booked. I remembered I had a credit from a botched experience so reluctantly called here to see if they could fit me in... of course they could because I'm sure people have stopped coming here because of the terrible service. Well the girl on the phone confirmed my credit and told me they would be able to see it and it would come off... well it wasn't for the full amount so she connected me to a manager at the location. What a mess... this lady was unprofessional and rude. She couldn't find the rest of my credit but she confirmed what the girl on the phone confirmed which was $29. She told me she would call me back the same day and of course she never did. I should have known better. She also told me that my old stylist quit... no surprise there. I show up to my appointment and it was dead in there... I had the real housewives of atlanta tiktok sound in my head when I walked in "the ghetto" because it was so different than what I was used to now. Well the manager was at the front desk and she told me she didn't have an answer cause her manager wasn't in and she was just the assistant manager. At this point I didn't really care I just wanted to get the blowout and use my $29 credit and be done with this place. I sat down with Jay who was very friendly and explained everything she was doing. After my shampoo I went to sit in the chair and this manager went up to Jay and whispered something about me and pointed. Very unprofessional.. Jay came back and started drying my hair, she had another client under the dryer and seemed stressed trying to find someone to shampoo that person. Of course the gossiping manager was no where to be found when she needed help. I don't understand why they book peoples appointments so close together smh. Well Jay had to stop what she was doing to my hair and shampoo the other lady. I could tell the other lady was frustrated and she told Jay that she needed to leave so don't even worry about drying her hair. Wow... well Jay finally finished my hair and I was ready to leave. I head to the register and the assistant manager told that I had spoken with on the phone before told me my total and then I mentioned my credit... she seemed clueless. At this point I was just ready to go. I highly doubt I hear from the real manager Monday like I was told but I will update if I do. Do not go to this place!! It is overpriced for what it is, you will feel rushed and it's honestly very outdated. It is a joke. Save your time and money!! read more

She took time to understand what I was trying to accomplish and not only delivered beyond what I hoped for but it was a training session as well!
