I haven't been here for many years. I found that Dr Winer's way of adjusting is great. However, after my 1st visit in a long long time, there was a new doc attending to me. His name is Dr Shahab. In my personal experience the Dr Winer practice did not work out for me and it felt like they were just making me pay for subsequent copays for my visits and billing my insurance. When I arrived to my first appointment I did all the paperwork and insurance verification and I got charged $40 for my copay without being informed Dr Winer wasn't even at the office that day. I was seen by a substitute Dr that did not treat me or diagnose me. He referred me to Dr Winer and I was given an appointment for the next day. The very next day I met Dr Winer and went through the same process I had gone through the first day, the 10 min interview to evaluate my pain, finally I got a barely 3 minute neck adjustment and a chair massage that honestly, I could've gotten at the mall for $10. When I was leaving the lady at the front told me I had a $40 copay again (when the previous day had already been a waste of time and copay money) I was disappointed. I ended up canceling my next visit after realizing it was not what I needed. I mean $80 dollar copay for a 3 min adjustment? And now they still have to bill my insurance. No, thank you, next... Note: I'm sharing this as a caution to others, I wish I would have known how this practice operates before I had invested my valuable time and hard earned money with them. read more

I actually went back to Dr Winer for a neck adjustment, and when I stated I didn't want to follow an elaborate 3 month treatment plan--just needed an adjustment a couple times to get my neck back in shape, he was abrupt and noticeably curt after that. He took me in a room, adjusted one thing on my neck with no preparation or heat and ended up spraining a tendon in my neck. After the adjustment he stuck me in a dark room with a noisy, poorly padded mechanical massage bed that seemed a hundred years old, and that was it for my treatment. This was the day before my vacation, and my neck was strained and painful for 2 weeks. I was miserable while traveling and my vacation was pretty much ruined. This kind of pettiness and inconsistency of care is the reason it is so hard to get respect for the field of chiropractic medicine. And I am back to looking for a Chiropractor I can trust. read more

Almost ten years ago, I was seeing another chiropractor for my chronic neck pain and middle back stiffness. He was unable to alleviate my issues with my back, so he referred me to the chiropractor, that he went to for adjustments... Dr. Winer. When I went to see Dr. Winer he was friendly and talked to me about a pain relief and maintenance plan After reviewing my x-rays. In the beginning I was seeing him three times a week. Over time as the pain in my neck subsided and my middle back became more flexible he had me come once a week and then finally to every two weeks for maintenance. I addition to doing stretching exercises, he consistently encouraged me to make walking a part of my daily health regimen - which I have since 2016. I went three times. The chiropratic adjustments performed were satisfactory. He would not do an adjustment on the first visit so I felt like I was being bilked for aditional visits. Of the five other chiropractors I've ever been to, none of them has ever done that to me. He gave me what appeared to be a preprinted prescription page suggesting to have chiropractic adjustments performed twice a week for the rest of my life. The free "Welness" session seemed like the main purpose was all about pumping me for referals to other patients. In 2011, out of the blue, my hip started hurting and getting progressively worse. I was limping, but couldn't figure out how I hurt it. I was 35. I was getting desperate because walking was becoming a chore. I looked for a close chiropractor and fate brought up Dr. Winer. I had no knowledge, no referral, and went on blind faith. During the first visit, Dr. Winer spent a lengthy amount of time with me, getting to know me and my history with chiropractic care. He listened and answered questions patiently. To The Entire Office Staff: During the month of August 2014 I opted to have surgery on my ulnar nerve located within my left elbow region. This procedure was recommended by my neurologist and surgeon to alleviate numbness and tingling in my left hand and fingers that existed for a period of 2 1/2 years. For (3) consecutive months following the surgery I returned to the surgical institute indicating there has been no change in the condition. I was told to allow it additional time to heal as it could take up to (18) months to see a significant improvement. During my last visit to the orthopedic surgeon he recommended I see the neurologist again for a 2nd nerve conduction study to see if there have been any changes since the surgery. I was referred to Winer Chiropractic Center and decided to seek another opinion since the pain was being felt in my right hand as well as my left. My first impression of Dr. Winer was outstanding since he is the first medical professional who immediately recommended x-rays are taken of my neck region. Dr. Winer suggested this is where the problem is originating. After reading the x-rays he concluded there was moderate pressure and narrowing within my cervical region causing the symptoms. He prescribed an MRI which I had performed shortly after my 1st visit to Winer Chiropractic Center. The MRI test results in fact verified Dr. Winer was correct with his initial diagnosis. Since my 1st visit to his practice in December 2014 I am feeling significantly better!
