I've known Dr. Villarreal for almost 10 years. I recently came back for what seems to have been severe sciatic flare up. When I first walked my state of being was severely debilitating. I could barely walk, the thought of bending over wasn't an option, and I couldn't turn to the right. Wow. I couldn't be more grateful for Dr. Villarreal. I went in for my first treatment a few months ago, but was told I couldn't be seen due to a possible Ankylosing Spondylitis diagnosis. Dr. Villarreal responsibly suggested that I go to a rheumatologist before he did any adjustments for me due to the dangers of performing adjustments if I in fact had AS. Luckily I do not have AS and appreciate the suggestion of double checking the diagnosis before treatment. I went in again, yesterday, and holy ****. I am a whole new person. My quality of life with my back and SI joint pain was so low until yesterday. Dr. Villarreal put me through some therapeutic treatments that were amazing before performing the adjustments. After one treatment, I can confidently say that my pain level has reduced by about 80% and my quality of life has noticeably skyrocketed. I'm an experienced registered nurse who just had her first surgery. I had a previous bad experience with a chiropractor years ago, and it turned me against seeking help from chiropractors. However, I recently had my first pinched nerve/ occipital neuralgia after my surgery. I'm usually pretty tough, but this was affecting my whole life! I dealt with it for almost a year letting the pain come and go because my old Chiro moved offices and the drive was to far. This review is a longtime coming. I turned 50 this year. Prior to the pandemic I was feeling some pain in the right side of my back when I moved certain ways. It felt stiff and this was a feeling I never experienced. My wife would try to massage my back and certain areas of my back in the right side would hurt when pressure was applied. I had not been to a chiropractor since I was a teenager but I decided to take a visit. I came in and spent sometime on some machines that I assume were warming up and loosening my back muscles. This far I was not impressed. I finally got to see the chiropractor and he spent about 20 minutes going over some questions about my discomfort and he eyes me over while standing and making me move in certain ways. He then spent about 3 minutes with a couple of cracks. Then he sent me on my way and said to schedule a time to come back in a few days. I scheduled my appointment at the front desk and over the next two days my back felt worse. I was regretting my visit and cancelled my follow up. Then life gets busy and I forgot about my experience. Then a couple weeks pass since my visit and I start to realize that my back pain had significantly subsided. I started paying attention and within a couple more weeks it was completely gone.
