No better surgeon, and a great person. He spends a lot of time with you in each appointment, explains everything, shows or draws you pictures, and is very relaxed and low key----he clearly schedules himself deliberately so that he never has to rush.
I immediately felt confident (and he came recommended to me by a friend), and he is happy to chat with you and get to know you. He sent me for an MRI, then went over the MRI with me at the following appointment. We scheduled surgery the following week. At that same appointment, we also scheduled the follow-up appointment. All the ducks were lined up in a row, and everything went like clockwork. The office staff is incredible----so good humored and funny, and yet they are answering calls constantly. Amazing.
My surgery went flawlessly. Each nurse, the anesthesiologist, and everyone who took information from me was careful to confirm (4 or 5 times) prior to surgery, which knee it was that was to be operated on. Both the attending surgical nurse and the doctor signed my appropriate leg in pen. The anesthesiologist called me the night before to talk through the anesthesia and confirm all of the information that I had given to the surgical center earlier in the week. He then called me a few days later to check on me, and answer any questions I had.
I have to add one thing. After I got his name from my friend, I called on a Monday morning, and I was in a fair amount of discomfort, but not agony. I'd been on vacation and had clearly injured it, and had managed it with a LOT of Advil for the week. As I described what was going on (pain, then the sound of a snap, which you never want to hear), his receptionist said to me "Well, his first appointment is in about two weeks, but you really can't wait two weeks. Can you come in today at ___pm?" The doctor stayed to see me even though his day was done. I SO appreciated it! I was able to schedule the MRI right away, and everything went smoothly from there.
