Yes, there are still things I could complain about but in general here are the reasons for the five stars: The flights seem to be really on time when the weather is good. I totally understand that wind, fog, rain, etc, can really screw things up but let's forget about that for now. The flight over to island, wherever you are going, is really quite beautiful. If you ask you may get the co-pilot seat and of course they seem to take special preference to those who may have never been on a seaplane before. As to the seaplanes themselves -- yes, they are small, luggage could be a problem (but if it is -- take the ferry), and to my surprise being in a seaplane really felt no different then landing or taking off on land and when the water is as smooth as glass I think this might actually be a smoother experience on both landing and takeoff. Further -- the big point of smoothness comes from this being more like private air than commercial flight. I have no idea what the domestic rules are in Canada but for a person from the US to get on a flight with a generic boarding card, off the island because their name was on a list the pilot was holding, with basically zero TSA screening hassle of any kind is pure joy. This thing might have a propeller and wings but the service feels as simple as a bus. So, no, not much flash to the experience but a whole lot of convenience -- and if you need to make a dash to and from the island without dragging a week's supply of personal items with you this is simply awesome.

We looked at several options (car rental, train, commercial flight, other charters), and San Juan Airlines stood out as the best option for us. They were more reasonably priced than other charter companies, much more convenient than the other options, and had information about their Covid-19 precautions clearly detailed on their website. We had a stellar experience with them - scheduling was smooth and our pilot was great, friendly and enthusiastic in answering our questions about the flight and general aviation topics. The aircraft was in great shape as well, comfortable and clean and clearly well maintained. The icing on the cake is of course the amazing views during our flight. We will definitely use their charter service again if the need arises.

Our trip from Bellingham to Orcas was pleasant and seamless. Friendly staff, easy, scenic, everything the other reviews say. However, our flight from Orcas to Bellingham was almost an hour late with no advance communication or explanation given. The weather was completely clear. We booked as a private charter at a specific agreed upon time and I don't feel that commitment was taken seriously enough by the company. We almost missed our connection in Bellingham and this caused a lot of stress. That said, I would still consider using them in the future because it worked and there aren't great alternatives.

The round trip was amazing from beginning to end. Flew out of Boeing Field to Friday Harbor. So convenient and quick getting dropped off and moving on to the plane. This is "how the other half live." There is weight restriction on luggage. Views during flight were fantastic!!! Quick and affordable, especially if you only need 1 or 2 seats. Probably cheaper than renting and car, paying (and waiting) for ferry! The pilots were very professional and top notch people. On my way home they drove me to SeaTac to catch my conventional flight home! Highly recommended! The small planes are subject to weather-related postponement/cancellation for obvious reasons!

The service is fast, affordable, friendly and relaxing; it only takes an hour for me to commute to the airport from the island. Jeanne and Point to Point Air are EVERYTHING that commercial airlines are not: friendly, flexible, easy to communicate with, incredibly responsive, resourceful, and affordable. The staff at Point to Point Air are the best! The pilots are incredibly friendly, very competent and safe. Thanks Jeanne and all of the staff and pilots at Point to Point; I continue to be amazed at the level of service they provide for a very affordable price. I thought it would be a great experience gift, although we were nervous initially because we had never been on a tiny, three-seater aircraft before. I spoke with a nice gentleman when I called in to set up our reservation two weeks prior. Sorry I didn't get his name. He was professional and gave detailed information about what to expect. I requested a confirmation email, which he couldn't provide immediately, but he said someone else in the office should be able to create one for me and send it the next business day. I got it as promised. We got to the Westwind office at the airport a few minutes before our reservation time. Our pilot, Scott, was at the front desk, all ready to go. We shook his hand, and he led us out to the little plane. He gave us a nice run-through of the door, seat belts, headsets. Shortly after, we were on the runway, preparing for takeoff. The tour was a delight. It was a beautiful day, mostly clear skies. The views from up above were breathtaking. We easily forgot how nervous we were about being on a tiny plane because we were just so amazed by the views and the whole experience. Scott was knowledgeable about the islands and historical events that took place there. He was also great with answering our questions. Scott did a very smooth landing that we barely felt anything, too. He's a real pro. When we got off the plane, my fiancé needed to use the restroom, and even though he didn't plan on heading back to the office, he took the time to take us there so that we could have access to a restroom. What a memorable experience. I highly recommend contacting these guys if you want to do a scenic tour of the San Juans in a super-cool fashion.

We arrived a little early, the building is extremely easy to find and it gave us time to gaze at the airfield and a couple little planes. When Lou arrived he was super friendly and went over the plan for our Introductory Flight for Two. As I have never flown before he gave me a short explanation of aerodynamics and how to use the rudders to turn the plane (very useful information once we got into the sky!). Lou was an amazing teacher in the air and let me guide the plane and decide where to go in that time period. When my time was up, we landed on Orcas Island to switch pilots and let my husband fly. Lou was a great teacher, he was very patient and kind. After this amazing experience with Lou; both my husband and I want to take private pilot lessons, we only wish that Lou was closer to be our teacher!
