They have a London taxi cab that seats up to 4, and a van for 4+. We got the van because originally there was 4 of us, my husband being a big guy he wanted a roomy vehicle. Highly recommend! On the way off the dock we ran into the John T. with Victoria Pedicab Co. who offered us a scenic tour of Victoria and the opportunity to do a little shopping. We figured what the hell, it's more interesting than Uber. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our vacation. John was personable and interesting, friendly and engaging. We got to see all the highlights of the beautiful city, plus the history and stories that went along with it. The historic neighborhoods, the beautiful city park, parliament, and China Town. John stopped at cool places for photos & offered to take pics for us. He also stopped by great shops where we could grab those last minute gifts for family. As the sun went down, he offered a blanket to keep us warm and made sure we saw the magnificent sunset. When it was all over, we felt like we had a decent knowledge of Victoria, and we had a new friend in Canada. If your cruise ship stops in Victoria, I highly recommend taking a trip with the pedicabs, especially if the weather is great. It's well worth your time.

Our overall experience with Victoria Harbour Ferry was very positive! I was able to book my tickets…read moredirectly off the website and show up 5 mins before the ferry departed. These are small ferry rides with at most 7-8 other folks, so you almost get a very personal experience on the waters since the captain/host has the time to connect, take questions, etc. You are sitting almost at the water level which is another plus as well of these small ferries. The ferry left on time and brought us back on time. Our captain/host was amazing, well informed, spunky and just balanced the fun and the chatter perfectly. We did get a good amount of waves on the second half of the ride and the kids really got a kick out of it. We even managed to see a seal and see the pedestrian bridge open to allow a ferry carrying rocks to pass on our ride, which was just pure luck. Other things that you can expect to see is lots of seaplanes landing/taking off, a variety of boats - patrol, sailing, rowing boats and then the larger commercial ferries, private yatchs, etc. Even though we did not have to pay for our toddler, we thought that the tickets are still expensive and wish there were some discounted windows where folks could try to shave off a few dollars.

The harbor is divided into 4 active sections. The cruise ships dock at Ogden Point in the Outer Harbour. The water taxi services the Inner, Upper, and Middle Harbour. It's a great transport option that is more affordable than a standard taxi. There can be a wait time. You may want to book a water taxi ahead of time if you're traveling in a group. The boat can only take up to 12 passengers. Our BC Bites & Sights guide booked it in advance so there was only a 10 minute wait at the Fisherman's Wharf pick up point. We saw a couple of sights along the way. There was a great view of the seaplane port, and the Empress Hotel in the Inner Harbor. We also passed under the Johnson Street Bridge with its beautiful aqua blue lights. We arrived to our destination (Mermaid Wharf) in a matter of minutes. Yes, I know we could have walked to Chinatown. It was already part of the tour, so why not? It would have taken longer to walk, and it was a cold & windy day. Some people in our group said it felt like being near the Great Lakes. The wind around Shoal Point was brutal that evening. I'm sure it's much worse in the Winter. It was fun! I think this is considered to be a Top 10 attraction here, and not just a ferry service. They do offer tours of the Inner Harbour as well as the Gorge Waterway. The latter one would be great for wildlife enthusiasts. That's definitely a tour I'd like to take one day.

May.27 my work booked a wine tour through Regent Limousine for two of our 30yr retirement friends/co-workers. Tour included 3 wineries and lunch at the second location. Tastings were $5-10 which some places wouldn't charge if you bought wine and each person would pay for their lunches. We each paid our amount for just the bus trip/tour and prepared to pay for our extra's. So. . .. when we got to the first winery they were completely surprised and shocked to see 21 people ready to do tastings. Apparently we were not booked at all. Our poor driver scramble to make contact with his company and to sort it all out. Now the very busy winery had to divide our group to be able to do a tasting, which took a lot longer since they already had another group before us. Of course this puts us behind and our next tour was to include lunch, which again was not booked. Our driver then informed us they have arranged a wonderful lunch at the end of our tastings at the Malahat Chalet. Not one winery had our party booked, and our 10:30-4:30 tour was behind and we arrived for lunch at 3:30. At the restaurant there was a set menu and our office manager asked if this was being paid for by Regent to make up for the mix up with our tour. We were told if we ordered from the set menu it would be paid for, if we ordered from their regular menu it would be the cost for that person. So we were thankful for the good gesture to cover lunch for our tour mishap, until my office manager was later changed for every single lunch, $30 per meal. When she set an email to the company they claim they did not say they were going to pay for it and they didn't charge her for the extra hour it took to get us back to Victoria. I find this completely misleading and a complete let down to such a wonder celebration of our great friends retirement. " As we did not have a reservation for your group on that very busy day and in order to accommodate you on the spot,, I had to split your group up for the tasting, which I normally would not have done, and the tasting was a bit more abbreviated than I usually do. He was an older gentlemen and very knowledgable about the area. He took us to a great ice cream parlor that was off the beaten track - he took us around various neighborhoods and landmarks. The car was immaculate and we felt like royalty stepping out. Well worth it rather than going on the more expensive, rigid and cheesy cruise excursions. Dale spent about five minutes asking us what we wanted to do with our limited time in Victoria. We came up with a plan and then jumped into Fancy Nancy and off we went. Dale is familiar with the area and gave us a nice overview tour of the city. We opted to go to the Butchart Garden and he waited with the car while we toured. Then after our tour of the Butchart Garden we headed back to town. Then we were able to Craigdarroch Castle . It was closed but Dale did a wonderful job giving us the history of the building and the family. Then we headed to Government Street right in front of the Empress Hotel for views of the Hotel and the Parliament Building. Dale gave us more history of the harbor, the Parliament Building and the Empress hotel while numerous people came up and asked him about Fancy Nancy. Then, sadly it was time to return to port. Dale parked Fancy Nancy in a way we were able to get a picture of her and our cruise ship in the back ground. One of my favorite pics of the day. Overall a fantastic afternoon. It was a perfect way to maximize our time in the city. It was myself, my husband and my 78 year old father. This was the highlight of our Alaska cruise for my dad. He tells everyone about Fancy Nancy. Victoria will be on our short list to come back when we have more time to explore. We more than likely will hire Classic Car again to show us around. If you answered yes to all of these questions then CVS tours is definitely the way to go! Super easy, convenient and no driving necessary- for you atleast. I was looking into tour buses that will take me to Butchart Gardens as I was visiting Victoria for two days. I came across CVS Tours on the website: Viator as an option. For less than $55 you get a ride to and from Butchart Gardens, as well as entry in. Can't beat that, right? The buses pick you up right in front of the Empress Hotel, which is located on Government Street, right downtown! They advise you to arrive 10 minutes before your departure time to check in and receive your tickets. I love that the bus that are double decker! It makes the ride so much more fun and interesting as you're able to see the view from up high. Once you get to your destination, the buses drop you off right in the front. You're able to venture out on your own and the buses leave from the destination upon every hour of the hour. The last bus leaves Butchart Gardens at 5 p.m. The ride to The Butchart Gardens was great! The buses are very comfortable and doesn't seem to fill up quickly. During the ride, the drivers usually provide history and helpful information about the Gardens. For the price that you pay and the comfortable seats on the bus, it definitely makes the pricing all worth it! I would for sure recommend that you book through CVS if you plan to visit Butchart Gardens!

We waited for over an hour on the street for their tour bus to come pick us up and were reassured it was "coming soon". They said their tour bus broke down, but we later found out this company went to pick up and take care of cruise ship booked tours. Bottom line is they will simply drop you or leave you stranded if more lucrative or more profitable tours come their way...Buyer beware.
