Such a diamond in the rough.. family friendly. Pay to get in, walk to the tower, walk to tower and she the sites. There were stairs but it was closed, they also had a slide to get down for all ages (height minimum). They have a gift shop, restroom, coffee truck and food area with ice cream. It was a great day'

This was an awesome experience! The park is clean and well kept. In addition to the main skywalk, there are a lot of little games to keep any kids (or kid-like adults) entertained. Shout out to the café, there were a lot of different food options that were well priced and the staff is very friendly. The metal slide down the tower is not too crazy and a nice little activity to add to the whole trip.

We made it a point to stop by at this attraction during our visit to Victoria. Admission was on the pricier side for what it was. However, we did enjoy the views and spent a couple hours exploring, grabbing some food and hanging out. Area was clean and well-maintained.

Art on the way to the skywalk.

This is a totally unique attraction that is worth a 90 minute visit if you're looking for a short trip out of the city. The skywalk is a ten story, accessible open air tower that gives various landscape views on your way up. The structure is unique and getting to to up and see views that you would normally have to do a long hike for feels like cheating. Vancouver island is beautiful and this is a relatively painless way to get a Birds Eye view. There is a slide to take you down (totally optional) that adults and children alike enjoy. It's quick and made me feel like a kid again. At the bottom is a snack bar, food trucks (try the vegan soft serve!) and shaded seating. A nice, short walk through the woods brings you back to the parking lot and on your way!

This place is a must visit. Beautiful views. We came on a Thursday afternoon and wasn't crowded. It was a little cloudy that day and we couldn't see Mt Baker. Kids would love this place as they a slide to go down. Clean and well maintained. They also have a picnic area in case you want to hang around for a little longer. They have quite a few wooden animals made with an artistic taste on the way to the Skywalk. Ample parking available.

Expensive for what it is. It's a creative attraction, slide is cool. The net you can no longer jump on. There's a forest walk for kids that has a scavenger hunt. Strangely, there's a lack of interpretive panels, for example there's random kids games on the suspended walkway with zero signs or explanation. There was an overall lack of information about the history of the skywalk itself, and weirdly a lack of in depth information about the First Nations. What interpretive panels there are are incredibly general, especially panels on the skywalk itself, which are about Vancouver Island in general, not about the specific geography or topography or ecology of Malahat itself or this particular region. Hlthe highlight besides the slide was this tricky game at the playground. The positive is they thought to put lots of hands on activities for kids, including along the line for the slide. Nice to see once but not something worth repeating.

For $35.95, I thought this was such a fun and memorable experience! I'm a sucker for this kind of activities - great views, some exercise, and a fun option to get back down! My husband, on the other hand, is terrified of heights so he definitely didn't walk up and stayed at the bottom since it's pretty high up. To get to the spiral, you'd have to walk on a trail which is relatively flat all the way. Once you get there, you have the option to go to the top of the tower/adventure net or the picnic area. The walk up can be a workout but it was fun 'cause the view was beautiful! You could also choose to walk up 161 flight of stairs which is located in the middle of the spiral if that's your thing. At the very top is the adventure net where you can see straight to the bottom of the spiral. A little scary if you ask me since it was wobbly and kids were jumping on it. On our way back down, my sister and I used the slide. There was quite a line but worth the experience! Be careful not to get a burn so keep knees inside the mat.

I'll admit & confess - I initially thought this was going to be one of the hokiest attractions to ever be built - until I walked up to the top! The Malahat SkyWalk opened in 2018. Normally a 30-minute drive from downtown Victoria, the trip here took a little longer due to backup on the highway. Our group used Island Time Tours to shuttle us from downtown to here. You can drive to MS, but when I'm on vacay I absolutely hate driving. Upon arrival at the MS, get ready to let out a lot of - ooohhhs & aaahhhs as you walk up & once you get to the top - stunning picture perfect views all around. You can even see Mount Baker 150 miles away. HEADS UP ALERT - very grannie friendly aka bring the wheelchair & walkers for all the Golden Years age category. Baby mamas can even bring the strollers. However, no high heals recommended. The slide down is so fast but easy that even grandpa can even go down - no problem. The walk up is at a chill 5 degree grade aka super easy no need to wear those extra thick fake Skechers that over promised to massage your feet. Ok so once you get to the top the views are 100% certified spectacular! Oh make sure you go on a clear day or you're wasting your time. Remember, the slide down is an absolute must! It's mandatory to scream loudly & cry with excitement while going down! Island Time Tours gave us 2 hours up here & it was plenty of time. Tag MS as a must do!

Went there last year and it was nice but it wasn't really worth the price at today's rate. You don't need to spend a lot of time here. It is basically one structure where you walk up and then slide down. The view is nice but you can see the same view from the mountain atop. There are free parking at the Malahat Skywalk attraction. It costs $35 per adult back then but they raised the price recently. It requires about 30 mins to 45mins to see everything. Truly a breathtaking experience when in Van Island. Very nice spiral structure ascending all the way up the sky. Easy to walk up and down. Option to slide Down too if feeling adventurous. Safe and clean surroundings. Staff available to answer questions and for guidance. Up on top, you will be rewarded with breath taking view of the island and the saanich peninsula. Really beautiful! Only negative side is ...very pricey! Not everyone Will find it affordable. But to try once is ok. A family pack will be around $100. Lots of water and mountain views to be had. 2 cafes and a picnic area are available for guests. Cheers!

Very joyful experience! It was a highlight of our trip to Vancouver island. The views from Skywalk are breathtaking.

Kolby is an articulate, engaging weaver of tales, and her vintage costume added to the ambiance. She was armed with old photos of the buildings we discussed in our 1.5, one-ish mile tour. The photos were fascinating, because many of the buildings no longer exist, and the rest of them have been altered in the meantime. This was my second tour with Kolby, the first being a virtual tour of the Bayview Cemetery during Covid. My goal is to join all the tours at some point. The cost is well worth the value given, and it's a great thing to do when guests visit. Birthday present, anyone?

But still, co-owner and guide Wren Urbigkit felt compelled to tell us that cursing and cleavage are key components of the tours. Because some people have missed that memo. Those who see Bellingham as a politically-correct college town may experience strong reactions when they hear how the town came to be. Without sharing too many of the tour's secrets, here are a few insights: Working girls were seen as a necessary evil by some wives, to keep bearded, flannel-sporting young men away from their daughters. And their bosses, madams, were seen by colleagues of many male entrepreneurs. And for those who think Bellingham is experiencing crazy growth now, wait until you hear about the late 1800s! The tour wraps up with adult beverages at Stones Throw Brewery, which has a parking spot dedicated to one of the afore-mentioned madams, Miss Annie.

We paid $173 total ($60 per adult, $39 for our teen, and the rest for our tween), and they gave us brochures outlining the route and stops, plus one timetable as they were almost out. That's when we realized the bus frequency is every hour, and not every 15 minutes. The last bus was at 5:30 pm. Fortunately, they had a bus scheduled to run at the half hour mark during summers (10, noon and 2), so we would not need to wait for an hour every time we disembarked. The long gap between busses meant we had to restrict the number of places we hopped off - we chose to see the Songhees lookout on the other side of the water, and take a lunch stop in Oak Bay Village. Of the places we'd originally planned to see, we ended up skipping Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf, and Beacon Hill Park (with its 150+ feet-tall totem pole). Many of the other places on the "itinerary" were either closed or obvious tourist traps. The busses are double-deckers and are fairly comfortable - some have open roofs, others don't. They tend to run about 5-10 minutes behind schedule. Service level was mixed. We got one nice tour guide, and a rude one who chastised us for all the things we MAY do on the journey (like throw trash everywhere instead of in the bin!), even before the bus had departed the starting point. Verdict - overpriced and not worth wasting a day of precious vacation time on. Wish we had taken a cab or water taxi instead and visited just the places we wanted to see.
