When we heard there was one in our city, we were excited and proceeded to find out more. Unfortunately, we found this facility to be unprofessional from day one.  i emailed and called. The staff does not sign e-mails, only "Best regards, Donya Pain" as though no one takes responsibility for their words so I cannot say who I communicated with initially. I initially called the office to ask about costs and told them i would call back when our family member would be in town so we could go in for a tour and further inquiry. I then called the office about five weeks later to see if we could schedule the visit. They were not open during the working hours i had initially been given, so i emailed them. They then gave me different working hours in an email and approved of a date and time. I agreed in an email and let them know we scheduled 20 minutes for our out of town family member to visit. Their response was that the ketamine treatment took 1.5 hours. I was shocked that they were taking us sight unseen on a first visit for a ketamine treatment, and i asked if a manager could call me. Ashley called me, and i expressed my concern in going to a facility that let just anybody schedule a ketamine treatment.  she stated that was not the norm and that there was an initial consultation needed  That, in and of itself, was sketchy since they were apparently ready to schedule a treatment right off according to the email. She also gave me a third differing set of hours. I thought it was also sketchy that the hours changed three times in two months. I confirmed a Friday 4pm appointment via email, and with Ashley the OFFICE MANAGER in a call, yet when we arrived, they were closed. I emailed my disappointment and received an email stating we could arrange to meet the next day however we had plans that day. They apologized and stated they were busy that day and our appointment "slipped from our mind".  is the staff on ketamine? We realize that this treatment has its risks.  We only want to associate ourselves with reputable, professional businesses who have experience using this treatment and adhere to proper screening and monitoring and have protocols in place.  If they can't keep their business hours and appointments straight, I do not feel I can trust their staff with my family members' treatments.  We heard about this office after they had a conflict with the VA, and we were willing to give them a chance, but it appears there are red flags to be found all around this clinic.

During this time NEVER in my life have I ever taken anything that was not given to me by my Dr's. Any NEVER in my life have I ever have I had a bad drug test! When I came into the office I made the mistake of confiding with the Dr some personal medical conditions. Once this happened She turned Dr. Jeckle and Mr Hyde. The medical information was nothing dangerous just different than some people. Once she found out All of a sudden my drug test started coming back dirty. No change in my medications no new over the counter meds nothing. She told me that since I had 2 dirty drug tests that she could no longer treat me. That was 6 weeks ago. I have been walking the floors in pain since because I have to wait for my medical records to get here from the VA in Florida to get here before I can see a Dr that I saw here before I Moved away 5 years ago. Please what ever you do be very careful what you tell this lady because she will use it against you. I suggest that you go somewhere else. I wish I had. I would not be walking around with a pain level of 9.75. I hope I save someone from going thru what I am going thru because PAIN is nothing to PLAY WITH!!!!!

They do take walk-ins, but appointments are recommended. Ms. Jessica Hinson is one of Dr. Gonzalez's PA's, and she is amazing! She listens, and takes her time. I never feel that she is in a hurry to get to the next patient. When blood work is needed, it is convenient because they have a lab on the premises, you don't have to arrange to have it done elsewhere. They also can do EKG's if necessary. They knew their patients, listened to concerns, and provided prompt, efficient service both in person and over the phone. Unfortunately, the level of care and service I have experienced recently has declined significantly. On multiple occasions, I have spent 15-20 minutes on hold after being told, "I will be right with you," only to continue waiting with no resolution. For a patient who is ill and seeking medical assistance, this is both frustrating and unacceptable. More concerning is the quality of care I received during my most recent illness. I was seen by a nurse practitioner who was unfamiliar with my medical history and appeared to dismiss my concerns when I failed to improve after taking a Z-Pak and benzonatate. Throughout the years, I have repeatedly explained that benzonatate has never been effective for me. I am asthmatic and have a history of developing bronchitis and pneumonia, making respiratory illnesses particularly serious. Eight days after my appointment, my condition had worsened considerably. My lungs became so congested that I struggled to breathe despite using my nebulizer. My coughing fits intensified, causing headaches, shortness of breath, and significant discomfort. That day, I called the office three separate times seeking assistance and possibly stronger medication. Each call involved the same lengthy hold times, only to be told that someone would see whether the nurse practitioner would respond. No meaningful assistance was provided. Out of frustration, I submitted refill requests through Walgreens for my cough syrup and the Z-Pak. The following day, I called again and was informed that the nurse practitioner recommended an over-the-counter cough medication. Frankly, I found that response unbelievable. If the prescribed treatment had already failed, and I had been seen only days earlier with worsening symptoms, recommending an over-the-counter medication seemed dismissive and completely disconnected from my condition. Not surprisingly, the refill requests submitted through Walgreens were denied. At this point, I feel as though I do not matter, not even as a patient number. I should not have to repeatedly chase medical attention when I am clearly ill and struggling to breathe. Whether the practice is overwhelmed with patients or facing other challenges, the treatment and service I have received are unacceptable. I pay for medical care and expect a reasonable level of responsiveness and attention. Even if the services were provided free of charge, patients deserve to be treated with dignity, concern, and professionalism. The care I have received during this illness has fallen far short of that standard. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve both patient service and patient care moving forward. Person I've had the pleasure to be a patient of. If that's first not say it all, let me explain further. If you ever need anything, even when they're closed on holidays there's always a way to reach him and his great staff each and every one of them to help you with genuine care. When you're in the room with him, or speak to any of his staff, they see you. Not just a patient with social security number, they see you. They hear you out listening to every word. You don't find that with me doctors anymore. Most of them already have their ideas formed before you even utter a word. His bedside manner is exemplary. There's not a thing that goes unnoticed any genuinely wants to know how you are, how you truly are. I wish I could speak to so much more about them. I just can't speak highly enough about this doctor, Juan becera, or his staff. I hope people who are reading this who need help go there. Reach out to them. They will help you if they can in any way shape or form. No stigma attached. No drawn out previous conclusions based on nothing but conjecture. Empathy is such a high quality there. Dr. Becerra is one of the best pain management doctors in El Paso for me. He's the second pain…read moremanagement physician I visit. I had nothing against the first one I went to. I just felt like Dr. Becerra was a better fit for me due to his specialties. One of my physicians also referred him to me so that was a plus. His staff got back to me that same afternoon I spoke to my other doctor! They gave me an appointment the next day. That really left a lasting impression for me! That doesn't happen to me quite often. You can tell he really wants to help his clients feel better. He also has good bedside manners. I recently started going to see him and I've already been really pleased. A couple of meds weren't working as much as I liked. He immediately resolved that. His staff got back to me right away...none of this waiting a day or so for answers. I heard back from his staff within 15 or 20 minutes. That's a pretty quick turnaround. Aside from his knowledge, his staff is also helpful and kind. I've enjoyed talking to them in the office and over the phone so far. I feel like I can trust the the doctor and staff. I told Dr. Becerra I wasn't feeling well during my first appointment. After he gave me my prescriptions, he also gave me a shot on my right arm. It didn't help until later that night. I'm glad he was able to give me that shot. It took the pain away and I was able to sleep much better. I plan to continue visiting Dr. Becerra for as long as needed. He has two locations. His other location is on Zaragoza. I'd visit him at either location. I highly recommend him.
