DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE A SCAM!! I called Atlanta Gas Specialists and got infomation on having a main line pressure tested. The guy told me it would $89 for service call even just to come out and look. any work done it would be applied to service. Funny, web ad says free estimates. the guy said it would be roughly $200 for the pressure test. I said lets just do it and when the Tom the tech came the next day. I didnt even know Atlanta Gas Specialist business was really Kendrick plumbing company and I was very mad because they never even state the true company business is Kendrick on web. Tom said the office doesn't quote prices and it's $349 or $89 trip charge. I said fine because i needed it done. when Tom (who's not even the master plumber doing the testing) got done he didn't even call me. I had to call him. he said the main gas line to manifold tested perfect, but from the mainiford shutoff flexline that connects the water heater was leaking at the flared connection going into the pipe settlement trap to hotwater heater. he said the csst flex washer ring was too crimped causing it to leak and he took it off. I said how much to put new ring on and fix to make sure line doesn't leak at connection. He said they don't do that kind of repairs. I said once it was fix how much to make sure no leak at the connection. he said another $349. I told him that's ridiculous and he was trying to double charge me for basically for the same free service the gas company checks when they turn service on. I paid and had a commercial plumber friend come over and he said the same thing. all the while Tom and john kendrick kept calling me non stop that night when i texted tom to let him know what the master plumber said. He kept calling and then I had a call from John kendrick the owner stating he was sorry and wanted to make this all right and call him. I told him I was with the other plumber and would him in the morning. Once I called I asked why the two names. he said they just use that web ad to get customers. I said don't you think that's decieving and you should have to list your company on the web ad. when we started disscussing the events, john the owner said it's just he and his son that answer the phone and he would never tell me pressure test would be around $200. I said maybe that's not who I spoke to at ATLANTA GAS SPECIALISTS. John kendrick kept calling me a liar and hung up on me. I called back and said we are being recorded because not only are you misrepresenting the public to get clients. you have had other bad reports on kendrick plumbing and bad BBB reviews for doing the same thing you did to me. I kept stating I had no problem with the work but because Tom stated you couldnt fix the conncetion. there would be another $349 charge just to check to make sure the fxed connection wasn't leaking. John the owner wouldn't even give me a chance to discuss this part he just kept calling me a liar and hung up. DO NOT USE ATLANTA GAS SPECIALISTS OR KENDRICK PLUMBING. THEY ARE NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE BASED. they just take your money and try to get more money out of you to do the gas leak checks (not pressure test. thats a billable charge of a licensed plumber not a tech that's not licensed) of a connection the gas companies do for free. I wasn't looking for any money back. I just wanted them to come check the hotwater connection after it was redone to make sure there was no more leaking. which the second plumber said was all that was needed. not a whole nother $349 pressure test that ATLANTA GAS SPECIALIST OR KENDRICK PLUMBING WAS TRYING TO GOUGE ME ON ANOTHER SERVICE. Plus, if they are a true plumbing company why couldn't they fix a flex line connection? Be fully aware this company does a lot of bate and switching. starting with their business and the web ads. if you call i suggest making sure to record because they will turn around and call you a liar for them bate and switching company names and service costs. +Like most of the homes in our glamorous, elegant, upper class East Cobb subdivision, we started getting pin hole leaks in our indestructible copper pipes. After two in the same place over our dining room, we knew the worst was upon us. 3 or 4 leaks later in the basement, we knew we were in trouble. Our next door neighbor used Kendrick to replace his copper, and he swore by them, quality of the work, pricing, and speed. We called them, they came out for our estimate the next day, work began the following week. I had counted 3 leaks, my wife found a puddle, they counted 7or was it 8? Other than destroying our kitchen ceiling, the dining room ceiling, a staircase wall, all as they honestly warned us they would, the job and devastation was over in three days (two and a half, actually). If you can imagine neat, clean destruction, great efficient work, and a reasonable price, that's Kendrick. I would hire them again in a flash. Be warned, replacing copper piping will not be pretty, but these guys were great and more importantly, they were honest, with both us, and our neighbor. Kendrick Plumbing just finished a complicated plumbing procedure at our town home. The property was built in the 70's and had been remodeled and updated by previous owners doing the work themselves. After over a week of work, the town home is now up to code and everything is working. John, the lead plumber, was meticulous and diligent. He always called with concerns and updates and took pictures of the work as it progressed. An insurance adjuster commented that this job was done with great attention to detail and not the "rough and ready" approach of some plumbers. Was this expensive? Very. But, you get what you pay for. A neighbor just paid another company $280. to replace an outdoor spigot. Kendrick is a small company that does get delayed when a job takes longer than anticipated. Our problem started with a washer that would not drain and turned into a much bigger issue. Our job was delayed due to another job taking longer than anticipated. About two years ago I was renting a house that had a leak at the gas valve serving the fireplace. Well who could blame me for calling Kendrick to repair, replace and renovate plumbing at a 40 year old home I recently purchased in Milton. Tom spent a day and a half working in multiple locations to resolve issues with older toilets, instant hot water, water pressure problems, leaks and more. It was nice to receive a call from the plumber himself 30 min prior to arriving at my house rather than guessing when they would be here. When they came to the front door, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised to see the clean cut technicians putting on "boot covers" before entering our home. Excellent customer service at an excellent price is what to expect from Kendrick Plumbing. John diagnosed all of our problems and was forthcoming with what could wait and what needed immediate attention. They replaced our water heater on the weekend last fall (and got here very quickly), so we called again with a few more issues. We have an older home that has most of the original plumbing, so having someone honest tell you what can wait is refreshing to say the least. I contacted Mr. Kendrick for a second opinion on a substantial natural gas job at my home because the first quote came in for several thousand dollars which I thought was very high. After explaining the problem and work that needed to be done, Mr. Kendrick frankly told me that the first quote was reasonable and he would probably have to charge me just as much or more.
