Many different styles of furniture, a lot of very ornate stuff. I liked a lot of things I don't really need - but still I was toying with the idea of fitting them into my home. Wayne Baker is the gentleman who owns and runs the place. I sketched out what I was looking for in terms of the corner tables - Wayne thought he had a couple of tables in that style. Turns out he did - but in the wrong colors and styles. He had one wooden one in a Cherry finish (I'm looking for something in either a Maple, Oak, or Pecan wood/finish). He also had one with a wrought iron base and a stone top - but it also was the wrong style. Wayne advised he would have a larger selection of these style tables come his Spring shipment - so I will check back with him then. While I was there, I found what I at first thought was supposed to be a large emerald jewel - but turns out what it really is - is a Deck Prism. These were used back in sea-faring days of yore to bring light below decks. This time I called because I was so ANGRY. They had a Dolly driver come pick up the parts and deliver them. Guess what... THE PARTS WERE NEVER CUT!!! WTF is wrong with this place? Last, they expect me to tip the Dolly driver when I wasn't the one who made a million mistakes and still can't get it right! Find another location cause this one has massive problems!!!

As we were discussing where we should start looking, Home Goods came up in conversation. Thus, we agreed that since there was one in Herndon, that is where we'll start. Home Goods is one of those places that has an ever-changing selection of items. In other words, you may see an item you like but don't buy it then and there, it may not be there when you return. Upon entering the store, we looked around to get our bearings. I saw a sign for furniture and told my husband that lighting would probably be nearby. That turned out to be correct. They had about three or four aisles of lamps. Much to our surprise, we saw two matching lamps that we both liked. Since we had never shopped here before, I looked for a salesperson to ask how it all worked. Do we take the lamps to the register...or what? She followed me back to the lamps and unplugged them, then put them in our cart. Oh...okay. Now we know, if there's a next time. The cashier was friendly and efficient. So far, we're happy with the new lamps, and we were pleased with the price. We'll have to take the time to explore the whole store to see what else is available.

One business told me they would have a space for me in February! Therefore, I made a last ditched effort to call Two The Moon. Not only were they able to squeeze me in, they were so very nice and professional! We brought the baseball jersey to the shop on Thursday afternoon and by Friday evening, it was ready for pick up! The price was very reasonable, as well!! I would love to go back when I have time to browse. The shop smelled like Christmas and there were so many beautiful unique items that would make wonderful gifts! We even met Johanna, the owner! She and her staff were absolutely amazing!!
