In the meantime, I looked at this blue topaz ring and like the feel of the ring on my finger. However, the color yellow gold is not my cup of tea. Still, I like the cool blue glow that poured off the ring as light hit it. I look at the cool blue ring and invision my ring with created emerald and amythest in a Yin Yang design. I think of two fox head silhouettes engraved on either side of my ring. I go one step farther and picture a lab created ruby red stones for the eyes of the fox. I picture the ring in white gold, because this is how I want it. Haven't decided on whether it's 10k or 14k gold, but I have time to think about it. Not sure if I will end up getting my ring designed here, but I am glad to know this is an option. My sales associate had a great attitude and was helpful on my questions. I tried on a white gold ring with blue topaz, but it did not have the comfortable feeling on my finger. I like gemstones more than diamonds, so I guess I might not understand the whole concept of "diamonds are a girls best friend," but I can hazard a guess. I will keep this place in mind.

I call back 20-30 min later when I get the message. After all the holds etc. get a person (Michael/employee number 101655) on the phone. More hold to connect me to repairs. Comes back--"given we are now an hour past your appointment time..we need to reschedule) Um excuse me? We are 4 hours past my appointment time when your side called me. Asked repeatedly to speak to a manager. DENIED. Asked again. Can have a manger contact you in 24 hours. WHAT THE ACTUAL??? Refused to connect me to a manager or supervisor on the spot. Try to call the local store I purchased at--get their corporate overloads again... Go back online to make another apt--none for another week. I still don't know if they will even fix the ring. What it will cost. Nothing. This should not be so difficult. And I'm still flabbergasted that they made their mistake--mine. And then denied me escalatory measures.... AVOID. My 4-year-old daughter had an awful first experience here. We came in for her appointment, chose…read morethe earrings we wanted, and she was so excited. Of course, once her ears were pierced, she cried a bit because of the pain, but then we found out they had pierced the wrong earrings. The staff member said, "I grabbed the wrong one," and explained that switching them right away or re-piercing would hurt. While the staff was very apologetic and did give us a gift certificate for the correct earrings to replace within 6 weeks, it still did not make up for how traumatic the experience was for my daughter. I really feel the staff should have confirmed with us one last time which earrings were being used before piercing her ears. Now my daughter is stuck wearing earrings she does not even like, and I honestly do not know how I am going to convince her to come back in 6 weeks after such a bad experience. We have used Upper Lobe in the past and never had an issue. I wish we had used their services again instead of trying Rowan. Unfortunately, this was not a good first experience for my family.

She spoke like she rolled out of a barrel of hay and decided to pierce ears in a shopping center, which was placed in a cow field. Not the 8 year old girl. The "registered nurse". They also recited after care instructions like a postal service worker who stood at the same counter for 40+ years. Way too fast. Looked at the ceiling. Totally memorized. They also told me I could go in the ocean and pool but to avoid lakes and rivers. Also wrong. I should avoid any type of open water. They gave me a bag with aftercare info and aftercare solution. They didn't ever tell me they were charging me $20 for the aftercare solution. Over priced. Not friendly staff. I honestly think you're better off at Claire's. This is after 2 weeks of piercing. I was so cautious and careful with keeping area clean and not touching. Just left urgent care and am on antibiotics to treat. I should charge the store for my copay and medication. Stay. Away.

This was our first visit to a Home Goods store. We needed to buy new lamps for our bedroom…read morenightstand. As we were discussing where we should start looking, Home Goods came up in conversation. Thus, we agreed that since there was one in Herndon, that is where we'll start. Home Goods is one of those places that has an ever-changing selection of items. In other words, you may see an item you like but don't buy it then and there, it may not be there when you return. Upon entering the store, we looked around to get our bearings. I saw a sign for furniture and told my husband that lighting would probably be nearby. That turned out to be correct. They had about three or four aisles of lamps. Much to our surprise, we saw two matching lamps that we both liked. Since we had never shopped here before, I looked for a salesperson to ask how it all worked. Do we take the lamps to the register...or what? She followed me back to the lamps and unplugged them, then put them in our cart. Oh...okay. Now we know, if there's a next time. The cashier was friendly and efficient. So far, we're happy with the new lamps, and we were pleased with the price. We'll have to take the time to explore the whole store to see what else is available.
