On September 11,2018 we contacted Ken Wolfson to help us with our 2 bathroom remodel and some design/decor ideas. We have been in our house (1329 sq ft) 19 years and wanted to update it and make it stylish. By his yelp reviews and being listed as one of the top 10 designers in Las Vegas in Houzz magazine; we decided on Ken Wolfson Design. From Sept 11 2018 until just before Christmas we were stuck in the Ken Wolfson tornado of bull crap. He's the man of a thousand designs. Never lands the plane! Constantly rescheduling appointments at the last minute. Inconveniencing us constantly. His designs were ridiculous. At one point he wanted to put a urinal in the master bathroom. At another point he wanted to shrink the master bedroom to 11 x 9, saying Las Vegas put too much Importance on large master bedrooms. He quoted us a crazy low amount for everything, construction, furniture ... he was working with"Fresh Design" at the time but they got into a tiff and stopped working together. Ken then told us he has a new contractor "ABC Contracting" we looked them up at the Better Business Bureau and at the NV State Contractors Board, but they weren't listed. Turns out they are a California licensed co. We found that out on our own because he refused to return our calls when we asked about ABC's license. He continuously danced around licensing questions and at one point asked us to get the permits in our name. That is very unethical. In mid December he showed up at our home in a panic and sweating. He thought we had called the NV State contractors board on him for impersonating a licensed contractor. He said he was certain he was going to be arrested as soon as he walked in our house. We calmed him down and assured him we did nothing of the sort. Honestly he was acting paranoid, in a panic and sweating profusely. I'm really wondering what was really going on with him. After he left I told my husband that Ken Wolfson is no longer allowed in our home. So Ken Wolfson provided many floorplans and designs but nothing that was legitimate. Construction never began. His price quote was about three times under what it should've been. Basically he drew a bunch of pictures did a lot of fast talking made $5000 for the deposit. Sadly we feel like we got a cheap because he could've destroyed our house and then left. My advice stay way far away from Ken Wolfson design and his partner "Greg" is just as shady as he is. There are so many other details I haven't shared. I should have given this review a year ago but It's so frustrating and embarrassing to see how gullible we were. read more

Ken does not listen to the clients wants and wishes and turns your design project into his own opportunity to showcase himself. I created a Pinterest board which he was "too busy" to look at prior to developing his plans, he wasted several hours of my time and my business partners time by creating unnecessary things we didn't want, he required us to pay up front and did not deliver. He charged us $46,000 up front for his "design fee" and furniture we didn't receive. He promised to show up in time but bails on deadlines, and now we are facing litigation to get our money back he won't return. Waste of time, waste of money, I regret choosing Ken a million times over. DO NOT HIRE!! read more

We brought Ken is for a tough project that was a stretch for all of us both in terms of the technology as well as the aesthetic. We wanted to build out our living room and dining room (which were joined), but our dining room was built in the 90's with a huge cathedral ceiling and we don't dine. Thus the logical solution was of course to put in a climbing wall. We came to Ken with a difficult ask: make our living room and climbing wall room blend together and appear classy while still functional. i.e. we didn't want to live in a Gym, we just wanted a climbing wall (the classy kind?). It took a lot of work as most crews in the valley don't build climbing walls, and nobody builds climbing walls meant to act as a focal point for the room with form equaling function. Ken delivered, he transformed the space and turned a bunch of awkward 90's architecture choices into a house we love. He took a purely functional (and often garish) item (and a giant one at that), and blended it into the design. The response from every single person that walks in the house? 'whoa' Ken's team he works with ran a great job site (I work from home so it was great to have them be so professional) and Ken was quick to correct any issues we ran into, so it was all pretty point and click for us. With great disappointment I write this review, and I feel compelled to share my latest experience with Mr. Ken Wolfson and his interior design company. I initially hired Mr. Wolfson in Nov 2017 to decorate my house with furniture, window treatments and various art and accessory pieces. Between Nov 2017 and May 2018, he successfully completed most items of 4 sales orders. In Oct 2018, we signed our 5th sales order project. As was his procedure for all of the orders, he collected the material cost up front, and the delivery and installation fee remained due upon completion. This project should have been completed by the beginning of 2019, accounting for back order delays and holiday scheduling, and his communication with me indicated as much. However, January went by with no communication and in February, he said he had been in the hospital and has fallen behind. From February to April, there are more delay excuses and finally in May 2019, the communication stopped altogether. For the past 4 months, he has answered none of my phone calls, e-mails or text messages. There are other negative reviews of Mr. Wolfson beginning around the same timeframe, Oct 2018 and beyond. Prior to that point, we had a positive and successful working relationship, but something has definitely changed with this business, and I certainly cannot recommend him for any of your home design projects. I literally had two days notice before my home would serve as a reception area. I found Ken's website and in a panic, begged him to do the job. Surprisingly, he was at my home that evening and the next evening, he and his crew professionally (and in good spirits)created a palace out of a pauper's lounge. Since this time, we have worked on several projects. I have learned that he doesn't need my advice or direction; I simply present the canvas and he knows how to make it look exactly like I want it. read more

From the first call to final install Ken Wolfson Interior Design came through almost magically. My Cabo San Lucas is well known as the best designed condo in the project as noted by the on-site property manager. I called Ken to design a luxury vacation rental condo. With one catch, the condo, is located in Cabo San Lucas. He said "no problem, I can get it done without visiting the space". I thought "yeah right!", but based upon his positive reviews I was hopeful. The first step was I handed Ken a sample floor plan provided as part of a real estate brochure. He turned the brochure floor plan to scale into reality. Then I visited the condo and painstakingly Skyped with Ken; me with tape measure and him guiding through the ridiculously detailed process of measuring every wall and even the spaces between light switches and door jams. He advised this was important so that he would know exactly how to position wall art making sure everything is just so. Then the magic happened within a short amount of time he created a terrific Interior Design plan for the entire 2 bedroom 2 bath 2,000' condo, including furnishings, décor and even chandeliers and pendants, along with a custom color paint plan. He coordinated details with customs shipper assuring furnishings and decor arrived safely in Cabo. The look of the space is incredible and everything fit, exactly as planned, please check out the pictures and see for yourself. The result was nearly perfect. Except I was the one to assemble some of the furniture, boy was that a pain, but Ken Wolfson Interior Design advised me through all the hassles and last minute adjustments necessary to assure a near perfect outcome, even when I needed him on Sunday. I am happy to report my condo is bringing the highest revenue in the entire 300 unit condo and is booked months in advance. Let me start off by saying this, if the ability to give ZERO stars was an option, I would absolutely do so. I started off researching designers for my boss with them wanting to design the interior of our new office spaces, and the interior of their new homes they just purchased. I set up the meeting with Ken and my bosses, and at that meeting they discussed what they wanted done with each property [ I was not at that meeting]. Plans and visions were discussed- and design fees totaling $35k for 4 properties was established and a check was written for said amount. Deadlines were created but NEVER adhered to. Over the next week or so, my bosses were out of town and Ken was to deal with me and address me with anything. I received very little to no communication on his end. When I did reach out to him, he circled around topics that weren't being discussed. After a second meeting at one of the new properties after my bosses returned, he stated he would be giving them temporary furniture until the house was done- which should of been done as we speak but till now it's not. We've received one design plan- that was supposed to be redesigned because it wasn't what was discussed. Another check was written for $11k to purchase furniture that was agreed to by my bosses, which he gladly took. Ken didn't adhere to any of the deadlines he put out. Ken didn't communicate with any parties involved very well, and wanted to do everything his own way. Ken didn't follow the idea or design scope that was talked about on the clients end. Ken failed to answer calls AFTER he received the second check of $11. Ken was told he was off the project and was required to give us the money back- now he refuses to answer any our calls. I think it's safe to say he is a SCAM ARTIST who is ready to take your money and run... SO PLEASE BEWARE. ALSO, his address on yelp is NOT an office, it's a PO BOX.- he has no office. I wanted to do an update to my earlier post about the project Ken did at our house. Many people have been over to our house since the project was completed. Everyone was amazed at what a complete transformation was performed on our house. Nearly everyone said they wouldn't have recognized it as our house. Everyone wanted to know who did the work and were very impressed. Kudos to Ken. All I can say is give Ken a chance. Let him know what you are trying to do with the space and he will come up with fantastic ideas. He will also listen to you and your input and find a solution that is spectacular. Give him a call. Ken absolutely impressed my entire family. My husband was very skeptical about using an interior designer (I did it anyways). Both of us couldn't be happier with the result. Our house needed a new color scheme, lighting & large accent items. Ken went above & beyond to make all three and more happen. He was always punctual and very forthcoming about every step of the process...which made it that much easier for me to hand the keys of my house over to him for more than a week without thinking twice. Ken went above and beyond to dazzle the celebrities and VIPS for our American Century Golf Tournament Retreat in Lake Tahoe. He not only finished on time with short notice but also came up with a creative solution to some design flaws with the venue. Super nice guy and insanely creative! We also worked with Ken at the American Country Awards at the Mandalay Bay as our usual designer was ill and unable to design our celebrity suite. Ken jumped in with very short notice and wow-ed not only the producers (many of whom commented on the excellence of his work) but also the celebrities (a few inquired about his services). His execution was flawless and his cheery disposition kept us all laughing during long days filled with stress. I highly recommend Ken for projects both large and small in scope. read more

Being well-versed in home design, I have worked with many designers who couldn't understand what I wanted even using visual aids. Our condo walls were painted beige. We wanted some color. But coordinating colors is difficult. So we hired Ken to prepare a color plan. He chose a multi color "primary" wallpaper. From that he selected paint colors & wallpaper. Ken has an extraordinary sense of color. He is easy to work with & friendly. Plus his rates our reasonable. I highly recommend him. read more

Are there only 5 stars available? Just not enough stars for Ken Wolfson Interior Design! A genius of interior design and a magician at pulling it all together in record time! We hired Ken to design a living, dining and bedroom from top to bottom. And because of our circumstances we needed it done very quickly. What a fantastic experience! I was a little nervous about using an interior designer for the first time. I was afraid I would get the design they wanted rather than the design my husband and I wanted. Ken's best trait is his listening skills. He took ALL of our likes and dislikes and created the perfect design for us. Also, everything is not only beautiful in form but extremely functional as well. Ken designed yet another fabulous Retreat for our celebrities backstage at our award show at the Mandalay Bay in December 2013. His dedication and professionalism along with his amazing aesthetic created a sensational lounge for the stars to enjoy. Many of them were so taken with his designs, quite a few such as Billy GIbbons of ZZ Top fame, said they wish to visit his Ken Wolfson Design Studio downtown for a First Friday event. His attention to detail, ability to change design plans on a dime and winning personality all helped create a hugely successful event for us again this past year. Ken Wolfson is a Jedi-Master of design. Background: I have been married to my lovely wife for 15 years. During that time, we have moved nine times, including buying two houses, which we were unable to update for financial reasons. Approximately six months ago, we finally purchased out "at last" home. It was a beautiful Tuscan-style, standard Las Vegas high-end-but-not-too-high-end home in a small community of custom homes in Green Valley. The house had travertine floors, beige walls, wood-paneled Kitchen/appliances, lime-stone fireplaces, and ornate ceiling medallions above the classic chandeliers-- al in all, a very lovely, Italian-style home. The only problem was that my wife absolutely HATES that style. My wife's style tends to be a bit more of Miami Vice meets Andy Warhol meets Dr. Seuss. With just a hint of Buck Rodgers. About a week later, my wife said to me, "I have a great idea." I immediately held onto my wallet with both hands, as her "great ideas" usually precede a huge hit to my savings. She explained that she had found a designer who specialized in making modern spaces out of not-so-modern ones, and that he was coming to meet with us. She showed me his website, and it was immediately apparent from his portfolio that he was a magician at creating a modern feel with only a few simple design moves. Renee met with Ken the next day at our new home. She and Ken had so many ideas for modernizing and improving the house that I am amazed neither of their heads exploded. Ken quickly understood Renee's taste, and incorporated that flawlessly into his designs for our new-and-improved home. The scope of our project changed frequently, more at our insistence that Ken's-- he is extraordinarily skilled at using the available canvass of the space and creating a new feel with only a few design moves, which we did in several areas of our new home. But we did expand the project to encompass a complete redesign of our kitchen, master bath, and theater room, as well as a complete repainting of the inside of the house to white, and replacement of all of the flooring throughout the house. We also nearly completely refurnished the house. Ken was a rock-star about incorporating our whims and our fluctuating scope into his design. He is a perfectionist, and did not allow us to make design mistakes for either budget or timing reasons. He was very good at looking at not only the intricate design pieces in the project, but also the big picture of the overall design of each area and the entirely of our home. Ken has an encyclopedic knowledge of construction, and interfaces extremely well with the construction crews and management. In our project, he functioned as the general contractor, and kept the team on-time and (relatively) on budget. The closest thing to criticism of our project --and it really isn't criticism at all-- is that Ken is an artist. He understands completely that he is designing for his customers, and wants all of his clients to be happy, but he simply cannot be rushed to finish a design. When I was in high school, struggling to finish an assignment at 3AM, I can remember my father coming in and saying, "Done and bad is better that excellent and not done." Ken does not share this view. Although many of the other reviews on his business on the internet extoll the virtues of Ken's ability to swoop in at the last moment and create a phenomenal space for a short time period, such as an awards show or meeting, we found that because our house will be our "forever home," Ken took the time to make each and every design choice, no matter how seemingly small, to the best of his ability as a designer and artist-- he spent fifteen hours on the internet picking out our ottoman!. And even once decisions had been made, Ken would not hesitate to review the design and listen to the little voice in the back of his head that told him something wasn't perfect, so that we would make changes later in the project-- we even completely changed the color of the tile in the foyer on the day it was supposed to be tiled; and it looks AMAZING! We are now finally at the end of our design journey with Ken. Walking into our house feels like walking into a $10 Million dollar penthouse loft in Manhattan. I cannot express to you how complete the transformation of our home has been. Ken has truly completed a masterpiece within our walls. If you are considering any project, no mater how massive or tiny, and you do not call Ken Wolfson to oversee your design, then you are a fool. He will create an extraordinary design for you, and see it through to perfection. I couldn't be a more satisfied customer! read more
