They ended up sending another crew to fix the original 2 guys work. They eventually told me...they didn't do a good job cause they weren't their "REGULAR GUYS!" But because my job wasn't considered a BIG job they called in their backup crew! But I sure didn't get back up crew prices! Never once did the owner come and try to make things right or even see what was going on....in the end I ended up settling for an uneven tv niche and smaller than what I requested due to the amount of time I missed from work.....don't do it! After living in our current home for over 5 years we decided it was finally time to do some remodeling. We decided on the kids bathroom because it was a small enough project and we could see if we loved the company we picked. I set out to get three quotes for the remodel. There was one company that I followed on social media and I enjoyed watching their work. Unfortunately they never got back to me. Another company made the experience impersonal. He requested that I take pictures and send it to him over the phone. And then there was GI construction. They actually contacted me and wanted to meet in person to see the work that we wanted done. Isaac impressed me from the get go with his professional demeanor. Valentin and his team were all amazing. They lined the work area and surrounding areas to make sure they kept the dust to a minimum. GI Construction - January 2024 I do not give 5 star ratings - As a process improvement professional, there is always room for improvement. 4 star is fabulous, but because this is an algorithm I will give a very rare 5. In 2021 I had gone out to bid, only to find out that most construction and supply houses had prices that I found to be unacceptable. Products such as shower heads, faucets and cabinets were priced extremely high, they were also hard to get. So, we put this on hold and did smaller projects; outdoors, flooring, kitchen, etc. to show you we were getting introduced to construction projects. In October 2023, we went out to bid on renovating our 30-year-old, 2.5 bathrooms in Las Vegas. I reviewed many companies and found 3 that were reviewed well and had no issues with the board of contractors. After review of their costs and discussing how they would work the project, we decided on GI. They started the work when we had purchased all the materials that we needed to purchase, (shower heads, cabinets, basins, tile for the showers and floors, etc. They started their day at 7 am and worked to 3 PM. They take pride in the work and make sure it is done correctly. As an example, Jose (one of the tile guys) did the main bathroom shower and flooring. He worked his artistry in making it extremely beautiful. He would cut a piece for one of the benches, use it on top and take the other piece he just cut and place it in front, so it was a continuation. He did this on each of the benches and step over in the entrance. Just look closely at the main shower enclosure and you will see the quality. Problems yes! We were phasing in the project the main bathroom and 1/2 bath first, then the guest bathroom. After the main bathroom was completed, I turned on the hot water in the glass vessels we had picked out. I was waiting for the water in the shower to get warm. I turned around and saw the water was hot going into the vessel, so I turned it off - I thermal shocked the glass, it broke, fell to the floor, chipped the new tile and generally made things a mess! I called the team manager (Valentin) and told him what had happened, his response was "No problem - We'll take care of it." So, I reordered the glass vessels and got them re-installed. The tile I repaired with a chip kit I had used when we had redone the tile the prior year. The other issue we encountered was we lived in the home during the construction. Dust everywhere and constantly cleaning to keep the house livable. The bottom line to me is the quality of the people that are doing the work and their dedication to the customer's complete satisfaction is one of the things that made this less arduous. The entire project took 7 weeks; 2 weeks delay due to our buying the wrong products and having to find replacement products. The GI team worked with us, guiding us to right suppliers and helping wherever they could. I will put pictures of GI Construction's finished work and during the project. Hopefully you will be able to tell their quality. Just a side note: Valentin and his teams kept this project going Monday thru Friday. They don't work on the weekends, but pulled a half day on Saturday a couple of times to meet my schedule. I can't say enough of Valentin's professionalism! If you are looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and responsive general contractor that gives great value for your money, look no further. For my kitchen and bath remodel project, I called 12 different contractors and got estimates from 5. GI Construction not only had a competitive bid, Isaac's bid was more comprehensive than any other, including critically important dependent work that no other contractor discovered while making an estimate. For example, since I wanted to completely redo the master bath shower, stripped down to the sub-floor and studs, Isaac pointed out that the floor tile for the entire bathroom ought to be replaced also and explained why. No other contractor noticed that and left me thinking I could keep my existing flooring. When you hire a general contractor, you are also hiring their network of sub-contractors and skilled craftsmen. GI Construction has a solid network and I was particularly impressed with the interior paint job, the tile installation for the shower, and the cutting and fitting of the granite counter-tops in the kitchen. Everyone did a good job, from site prep to clean-up at the end. Some craftsmen worked into the evening or weekend to make sure the work was done right and looked great. Valentin is the production lead on site and made sure everything went smoothly. Valentin is super responsive and collaborative and worked with me through every construction decision, large and small. Valentin has been in the business for a long time and knows what works and what doesn't. You can trust him when he gives you the best option for a fix or change in the plan, and you can sleep easy at night knowing that Valentin is running your project. Note that GI Construction is not an "all inclusive" contractor with an in-house design department that literally does everything for you, including selecting and procuring materials and fixtures. You provide the design and materials, and GI Construction does the construction, installation, and finishing. You'll get plenty of advice from Isaac and Valentin on how to find and buy materials, like if you have no idea what a Schluter is or where to buy one, so don't worry about that. Just be prepared to do some legwork and shopping once the contract is signed. On the plus side, this means that every decision about color, composition and style will be completely under your control. read more

Have not proceeded with work presented in estimate yet as physical therapy is required to adapt to new ADA bathroom changes. However, I wanted to add a review about the estimation process as it was so good. The estimate was detailed and readable, outlining exactly why costs were what they were. Isaac was passionate and clearly communicated what could be done to help my dad (wheelchair-bound and in his 80s). The estimate came in lower than what we had feared, which was a huge relief. If I could give no stars I would. I would NEVER use this company for anything ever again. The most unorganized company I have ever worked with. The owner Isaac is the most untrustworthy man. He tells you one thing and then does something else. Not dependable when they say they are coming over, they just show up when they feel like it. They started out with an architect with no license which then took a few months longer. Our project took 1 year from the first day that we signed papers. After everything was done we were looking for a outlet to find out it was covered up with drywall. When I wrote to the office they never replied to me. Pretty disappointed in this place. I had an estimator come to my house and spend about two hours going over the scope of two projects. At several points he asked "What's your budget?" as though he was trying to sell me on a used car and wanted to know how much I could spend rather than give me a meaningful estimate. When I pointedly asked what the projects would cost, he deflected and told me his company doesn't give quotes in person, or by phone, or by email until the second meeting where we sit down and go over the bid together. These are classic 1970's car sales tactics. Refuse to talk about money until you have the customer sitting there in front of you with a pen and a contract. Ask what the client's budget is up front to see how high you can inflate the price. Refuse to give a price quote that the client could compare with another company. Here are some helpful hints for the owner. If someone's looking to remodel the entire house, the budget isn't relevant. The customer knows it's going to be expensive, but also wants to know the company isn't going to try to overcharge for the project. Be upfront about what you expect the project to cost. This isn't a transaction where you make up a price and hope your customers are dumb enough to fall for it. Maybe it works on a few people here and there but most of us expect more honestly and integrity from the people we would hire to work on our homes. read more

G1 did an absolutely amazing job on our master bath remodel! We had several companies provide estimates and I am so glad we went with Isaac, Valentine and the team at G1! To begin with, the way this company does business saves you money without compromising the final product. Isaac sets you up with his vendors to get you high quality tile, fixtures, etc. at a discount. He is even willing to shop with you. The other companies we spoke to wanted you to purchase everything through them which would have added about 25% to our final cost. Additionally, the constant communication from Valentine, our PM really eased the anxiety you naturally feel during a project like this in your home. The team showed up on time, were polite and cleaned up after themselves. They even finished the job AHEAD of schedule. This has not been my experience with most contractors. Just completed a kitchen remodel. I chose this company because they were personable, friendly, seemed to understand what I was looking for. Some of the other companies I called were busy and said they were fully booked. But that's where all the good things ended. I could write a book on how bad things were but I'll just get into the main points. You can email me directly if you want more info on anything. There were many things I was told prior to the remodel that didn't come true. First, I was told that I'd know who was coming to my house and when. But the reality was I didn't really know most of the time. There was no consistency. Sometimes people came at 7. But sometimes they didn't come until after lunch. Sometimes they were done at lunch, sometimes not done until after lunch. They worked on my kitchen in piecemeal. They did 1 minor thing a day and then that was that. I assume it was because they had other projects they were doing simultaneously. And that gets me to my second complaint. They took forever. They said it would take 3 weeks maybe a little more. But the reality of it all was they took a few MONTHS. They didn't try their best to get this done as soon as possible. And when I brought this up to them, they didn't offer apologies just excuses. The quality of the work is suspect. The tile they installed had tons of lippage and they redid it but only because I complained about it. Otherwise, they'd have passed off horrible work as finished. Trash was left in front of my house for days. The demo team left their trash on the side of my house for 2 weeks and it wasn't even picked up until I mentioned it! Don't expect the extra mile being done on your project, expect the bare minimum. Avoid this company at all costs. Some of the very positive reviews for this company were all done in March 2017. So keep that in mind because their experience isn't the same as my experience. read more

If there was a ZERO stars, I would have chosen it. I see all the very positive reviews that have been posted on this contractor which is very confusing. I must have gotten the "lemon" project manager sent to my house. The guy (Henry) was an hour late, for which he offered NO apology or reason which as you might imagine set the tone for my appointment. As I explained to him what I was wanting done, he seemed to comment and focus on everything but my comments. And when we were talking about the dining area expansion, he starts suggesting SCREENS as the enclosure for the space. Mind you, the dining area consists of two exterior walls, and you're suggesting I use SCREENS??? WTF?! Then he starts giving me piece-meal pricing, tells me I have to buy all the materials myself, and never even got to taking measurements. I finally had enough and told him clearly this estimate was NOT what I was expecting nor the way I wanted to work through these projects. He left and I decided I'm washing my hands of this company. I called the company because of the great reviews. They did come out on time which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. They gave me an estimate for tile install for 2 bathrooms. 1 standard tub surround 60x32x60 and walk in shower 54x30x72. No tear town or materials of such to dispose of either. They quoted me $6000 to only slap some tile on and nothing more! Reasonable??? Don't think so! After interviewing dozens of contractors, we ultimately chose GI Construction and couldn't be happier. Jack was prompt in every appointment we had, listened attentively to all of our dreams, and then showed us pictures, demonstrating the talent of the GI Construction crew. He warned us that GI Construction was not the cheapest in town, but that they had the best crew that anyone could find to get the job done, and done right. He was absolutely right. Every other construction company interviewed either refused to work within our budget, or turned out to be unlicensed. Jack presented an initial quote that fit within our budget, and included all of the areas we wanted done. More importantly, I could not find one negative review anywhere on the internet, and I confirmed that they were licensed with the Nevada State Contractor's Board with absolutely no administrative proceedings against them. Work began on time, and progressed faster than initially anticipated. Our new tile was installed within a short two week period, along with other repair work and changes. The tile work was simply beautiful! Grout lines are 1/16th of an inch and even throughout the entirety of our home. It was so amazing that I commissioned GI Construction to complete additional work, such as tiling the remaining tub/shower combinations; so that all of the bathrooms in my home would have a consistent and beautiful look as well. Jack kept in constant daily contact, even during weekends and holidays. He was very patient, and always willing to answer my questions and explain the different processes for each aspect of the job to make sure that we could make informed decisions regarding the project. The experience of the whole team at GI Construction cannot be overstated. Jack knew from the beginning that we would need to paint (and in some areas, repaint), and exercised lots of patience and professionalism until I came to the same conclusion. Painting was not initially included in the quote. Jack and I were able to negotiate terms that allowed us to have the finished home we dreamt of, including new paint. Jack assured me that when his company encountered construction defect (or similar) issues, they would be immediately brought to our attention. Jack delivered on this promise 100% every time, even when he expected me to freak out. Jack gave us options, pricing, as well as provided a detailed explanation of how his crew would repair them. I would like to share my experience with GI construction in Las Vegas, Nevada. I was looking for help to remodel bathrooms in my house. It has been over 10 years since I had it remodeled and I was thrilled to bring a new life to my master bathroom- a place where I pamper myself every day. I wanted to add a walk-in shower with frameless shower glass, install new vanities and countertops, change bathroom flooring, and streamline the design with durability. When I called GI Construction, I had a very pleasant conversation with Isaac(owner) about how I would like to have my bathroom remodeled and he walked me through every possible step and shared his opinion and ideas. He really took his time to explain how they work and what to expect. I was more than happy and ready to set an in-home appointment. They added 4 layers of water proven system, floors look radiant, I love my new countertops- is my favorite. I have written several emails to the company describing the project that we want and asking for an estimate. After waiting several days, the last email I received was something like "we forwarded the emails to the Project Manager for review". I have not heard from them again. Sorry guys, but living the client waiting an answers forever, is a very bad way to start. I understand that many companies have a policy of not giving estimates by phone or through email. But seeing how the market works and how many contractors the client should contact, before making the decision of who to hire, it would be highly appreciated that everyone could do it. As I've been reading in other reviews, 2 meetings to start talking about money is ridiculous. The companies that do this only make us lose our precious time. I had a pipe break in my family room via storage closet. This was a major undertaking I contacted other contractors. Their estimates were ridiculous. Henry was the project manager. He called me and set up a time to meet. He came over and got started measuring for the remodel. He gave me a start date that worked out to my advantage. Since I was in school at the time. After Serv-Pro came over and ripped out my walls and hardwood floors. GI construction was able to get to work. Henry kept me informed about all of the different contractors who would be coming and their times. Never an issue and Henry was able to be contacted via phone or text. On my last walk-thru Henry came by to take final pictures after the last contractor had repaired and replaced the window and painted the outside. I had my bathtub, shower and flooring replaced in my masterbathroom. After I signed the contract and paid the downpayment I was advised that they wouldn't be able to start the project for four months. Two of the three workers were experienced and worked hard, the third guy was useless. My major issue is the fact that they don't use qualified subcontractors. No plumbers, no electricians and no experienced tilers. The same two guys did the demo, plumbing, electrical, tiling and flooring. Isaac, the general contractor, is a great guy but he is totally absent after the contract is signed. The project manager was only onsite when he picked up the checks. If anything extra needed to be done, he wanted to do side deals and wanted to be paid directly, not through the company, in fact, he specifically told me not to contact Isaac. I asked them to paint the bathroom and he wanted the check made out to him, not the company and he wanted me to buy twice as much paint than was necessary. I've had several remodel projects in my prior homes and have always seen qualified subcontractors come in to do things like electrical and plumbing. The biggest problem is the grout - not good. Bottom line, I do not recommend this company. read more

We are senior citizens, and engaged GI Construction to do significant renovation of a home we bought in a retirement community. There are not enough superlatives to describe how pleased and happy we are with the outcome, and with the entire experience of working with this Company. First, Isaac, our project manager, is an extraordinary person to work with. We were impressed with him from the moment we met him, and it was his presentation that really sold us on using GI. His stated goal: "I want you to be happy." He meant it, and worked tirelessly to make it so. We saw immediately that he really knew his business. He had clever and money- saving ideas throughout. He scavenged the house we were leaving for equipment and fixtures we could use in our new place, saving us much money. He went with us countless times to vendors to select materials, and accommodated our physical limits by running around the big box stores to bring us things to look at, and select the correct items. I would send him a text nearly each morning raising the day's issues, and he would respond quickly. Second, Jack was creative and came up with ideas for renovating our master bathroom that responded precisely to what we were trying to achieve. He also talked us out of an expensive change in our living room, which in turn enabled us to do other things. He also made very sure we understood the cost of each change or addition that we asked for, and several times advised against some of our ideas as not worth the expense. It is worth noting that each member of the crews that did the work, especially Alex and Romel, were uniformly pleasant, timely, and worked remarkably quickly. The work was done neatly, and nothing was damaged! We also were impressed that one fellow who violated one of the company's own rules was quickly dismissed from the project. Last, the owner of the company, also an Isaac, his wife, and other staff people came to meet us a few times, making it clear that our business was valued, and imparting a reassuring "family feel" to the whole project. They even gave us a gift when the project was done. And, although GI will tell you they are costly, we found their prices to be reasonable, especially as compared with other bids we received.. Also, we especially liked that after the initial deposit, they asked for payment only after each stage of the project was completed to our satisfaction. Our friends are incredulous when we say that we enjoyed our contractor. These folks are a pleasure to work with. read more

I called for Estimate with this company based on some reviews however, I did read some bad ones and sadly were (now) one of them. I set an appointment for today at 8am (6 days ago). I was told I should get a email confirmation (never got it but didn't think anything of it) Appointment day came around and it was 7:58, no call or txt so I decide to follow up myself. the lady I talked to said that they may have been backed up in emails or the contractor set to visit may be running late. She said she will shoot him a txt/call and give me a call back. Time passes and it's about 8:11 and still no call or txt. I call again and kindly asked for a simple confirmation if he was going to be even more late or cancel so I know how much later I'll be at work. Mind you my husband and I have professions that Are crucial to others when coming in later, but because we planned to come in later it was okay. But now I sit at work, almost 1.5+ hrs late, For nothing!! it's now 9:45 and not a call or txt or even an email. I like to think of myself as a pretty understanding Person and I know that businesses and people can get busy, cancel, or sudden emergencies (my family own their own businesses too) so I see first hand...But when a customer calls 3 times Total and still no word ...that's upsetting. read more

We spoke to 4 different companies for our bathroom remodel. I was immediately impressed with Ofir and Isaac. They take pride in their company and it definitely shows. Their crew does very good work and met our budget. I would most definitely recommend this company. I do have one complaint (and the reason for 4 stars). They never returned to clean the job site after they finished. There was plenty of dust, excess mortar and pencil markings on the installed tile. We used GI Construction for a renovation. They seemed very nice at first when we had our first meeting. By the second meeting it was apparent they hadn't listened to any of our wishes. They kept trying to up sell us on everything. Also as another reviewer said, they kept saying, how much do you want to spend. There was no breakdown of what things would cost. We decided to use them (why, I don't know) We were told we'd always get a call to let us know when someone would arrive. That never happened even though we would ask constantly. There were days we'd sit around for hours after being told someone would come, and it would be a no show. Also, once the project was almost finished, it seemed they had bigger projects to do. Two weeks went by with maybe 2 people coming to our house. Someone always had to be around watching the workers to make sure they didn't screw something up. When they finally finished, they sent one of their guys to clean the room. I walked in and he was sleeping on our floor. The project came out nice only because we had to watch everything, but we'd never use them again. read more

I hired GI Construction to rebuild an office in Downtown Las Vegas. The structure was built in 1948 and was converted in the early 1990s into a professional office space. It was then gutted and stripped down to the studs in early 2018 so that it could be rebuilt in a different, more modern design. GI handled every aspect of the reconstruction and did a truly extraordinary job! Since it was completed, everyone who has set foot in it has raved about the quality of the construction. Having been in several offices of the same size in the same part of downtown Las Vegas, I have absolutely no doubt the quality of the work GI did is far and away superior. Valentin and Jennifer did a phenomenal job of steering the project through tons of city inspections ensuring literally everything is code compliant. Valentin was always precise and thorough and able to anticipate any problems that would need to be solved. He has a deep knowledge of the construction business, and prioritized the quality of the work and my satisfaction as the customer over everything else. The two people I dealt with in the front office--. first Jennifer and then Richard--. were always extraordinarily friendly and helpful to me. Not once in a year of involvement with this company did a question I have go unanswered, (and I called the office very frequently). Even beyond the quality of the work they did, the character and responsiveness of everyone I dealt with made the experience very personally positive. I had very high expectations and hopes as it was a very large undertaking for me, and GI truly exceeded them. I'm very proud of the final product (I will be posting pictures soon) and consider hiring GI the best decision I made during the whole process. I would never recommend this company! My experience with them has been absolutely horrible! We hired them in the beginning of March to construct a gas fireplace in our home. They were supposed to be coordinating their efforts with Silver State Construction, another company I would never recommend. Isaac was supposed to be the project manager on this project. I never saw him again after he took our initial deposit. I don't even think his crew knew what they were doing. Every time the city came out to inspect there was something wrong that needed to be corrected. Isaac never came out to meet with the city inspectors. Finally after 4 months, the preliminary work was completed. It then took us another two months to get the mantle that was supposed to be a part of the project. Silver State measured incorrectly twice and the mantles had to be returned and reordered. After numerous phone calls with various levels of personnel, we finally had our mantle installed this past Friday. Six months to complete a fireplace! And not only did it take six months and thousands of dollars, we don't have a finished product that was done correctly. There is a big space between the wall and the mantle because the wall Isaac's crew constructed is not even straight. The wall bows in! I am livid that my husband is caulking and painting this mantle as I write this! I don't even know what to say anymore. I have never experienced anything like this. I haven't received an apology from either contractor for their unprofessional conduct of business, for their shoddy service, and the length of time this project took! And after all the time and money, I don't have a finished product. Isaac and Silver State Construction should be ashamed of themselves and should be trying to right this situation. Be very careful before hiring these two companies to do anything for you! I wouldn't even give them one star, but that's the only way I could post this review. Beware!! read more

What a great team to work with. Izyk are very professional and reliable. the scope of job wasn't so simple and required some design skills as we completely redesigned our backyard and had limited space to work with. the scope of job was build a patio, gazebo with heating and cooling system, wet bar and bbq grill stand, landscape and flooring replacement. From the beginning Izyk look over the space to be work on and made helpful suggestions, the best part was that he even created a 3d design on his laptop so we can understand exactly how it will come out as it was very hard to visualise it. the price was very reasonable and affordable. He even took me to see his other current projects around the area. It was nice of him to take me to the supply center to pick out the material needed for the job. Overall Izyk and his group worked very hard to make the job to the best and we were very happy with the result. read more
