Our project had some lapse time between measurement and installation. The delay was on us. Our only issue w/Carpets Galore was a lesson learned by both parties. When there is a significant lapse of time between measure and install, it is best to come back out to site to make sure all parties are on the same page. Communication was fabulous throughout. Installers worked hard and left the area clean and removed all trash. Another plus is they understand working with HOAs and mngmt of high rises. It was inconvenient to have to reschedule, and make a 1 day project 2 days. There also was a price change that through open communication we came to a resolution, and everyone continued to be pleasant and work through it to get the job done. read more

We had been in the market for carpet for our stairs and loft for some time. After getting measurements and an estimate from a big home improvement store, we decided to shop for a better deal which we found at Carpets Galore. We stoped by their showroom and were greeted by friendly, knowledgeable sales reps. Before showing us all the higher-priced custom order option, our sales guy showed us the popular, high-quality selection which they have in stock. We were able to find a a higher quality, and face weight option than what we selected at the big retailer. We decided to purchase carpet for our downstair office and the price came out less than the big chain store's quote which did not include the office! We purchased a large (30 sq. yds.) carpet remnant (Karastan) and had Carpets Galore bind it into two area rugs. One for the dining room area and one for the family room. Because of the volume of carpet they buy, they get super deals on remnants. The cost for our carpet was less than half of what the other places wanted. In addition, the binding cost was 10% less. A few years ago, we had them install carpeting in four rooms in our house, over tile. They did a great job with the installation. Sales rep. He arranged to FaceTime the next day as I had recently purchased a home 500 miles away from where I was living and had not yet moved. He got everything set up, helped with carpet choices and sent the installer with extra carpet to be safe because we were basing things on MLS listing measurements. We did need that extra carpet!! Gregg remained in contact, did what needed to be done online, and the installer was also able to remove the existing LVT. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for Greg. I purchased carpet a couple of years ago and it was beautiful white until my cat threw up on it. Greg worked with the manufacture Shaw carpets to get my carpet replaced however to find out they no longer carried the same color as my carpet. Greg talked to them and explained how my whole house was carpet and that I absolutely loved the carpet and didn't want to go with any other carpet so after several back-and-forth with Shaw carpet they said they would replace all of my carpet at no cost. Beware! Absolutely disappointed with the tile installers we hired through Costco. After having our tile installed we noticed the crew left behind the transition piece instead of throwing it away. It was carelessly placed under our sink which was later almost found by our 2 year old. This transitional piece is extremely sharp and had rusted nails on it. We found the piece under the sink because my son dropped his toy and almost went to grab it. Thank goodness I was closed by to stop him because it could have easily cut him. I called the team lead and/or supervisor Anthony to express my frustration but I did not receive a call back. I would not recommend this company because they clearly do not care about your safety when working in your home. read more

When I pointed out things that looked bad/pooly cut causing visible gaps, they were blatantly talking shit in Spanish like I didn't know what they were saying. They were like he's.never satisfied, blah blah blah. Yeah, I'm not satisfied when your work looks like shit. I pay you to be professional and not try to cut corners. Overall, it looks decent after I had to have them fix the visible gaps. The fact of the matter is, that I should have to tell them anything. They should come in and get it done properly and act professional when you get called on your bullshit. If you need to recut some pieces where you've taken away too much material, then so be it.
