We sometimes prefer a cocktail or a glass of wine with diner and will occasionally have a tap only Guinness with our meal. We expect good service because we do not wish to wait, as most of us don't, because we have our lives to live and for some reason, we have gotten quite used to delicious, hot food! lol. We enjoy smiling, and laughing as many of us do, so a friendly, polite, and efficient Server is a plus. For all of these reasons and especially because we don't always know what we feel like eating, we would like to recommend to you the British Open Pub in Bluffton, SC. Why? Because the grub, sorry, food, I hate it when it does that, lol; is very tasty. Their menu offers a variety of different fare. Their atmosphere is quaint, pleasant, and laid back. Small property is divided between bar and restaurant, but we recommend patio dining. Perhaps it has been some time since the owners experienced actual British dining.... It's a limited snack menu and they do have nice drinks, but my husband wanted a pour of bourbon and they really didn't have an extensive selection as far as that goes. The fish and chips had zero flavor, I don't think they even put salt on the fish. The short rib Sammie was decent and the cottage pie was ok.
