Look like a laid-back, please, with soft music and lots of old couples.. looked like a home for most of them, which is really good to see :) looks like everyone knew everyone inside the bar.. the bar had a lot of options.. I like the fact that they had blue moon on tap and not in bottles.. price was reasonable . Got a fried pickle, which was OK... overall a good experience . 4 stars .

Last Saturday night, I went out to Kc's Korner in South Plainfield to check out a friend's band…read morethat was playing live music out on the Patio. This was my first time at Kc's Korner, and the overall experience left me with a good impression. Like the other reviewers say here, it's a great neighborhood bar! We were a party of three. After parking in the private lot, we entered Kc's from the patio entrance in the back. We were greeted by a hosts. I think he first wanted to bring us inside, but then my friend told him we were there for the music on the patio. We ordered food. My vegetarian husband and our vegan friend both went with plain quesadillas (just with the veggies) and non-alcoholic drinks. I went all-in and ordered a Kc's Classic Smash Burger with fries, and a side of onion rings (which my hubs and I ended up sharing). My friend and husband said the quesadillas were good. My hubs said it was better than he expected being a bar and all. The onion rings were really good - tasty batter and fried perfectly. My smash burger was fantastic - hit the spot. I saw that the Patio drink menu had Surfside and Suncruiser canned drinks. I asked our bartender what she thought. She was cool and gave me her take on them. I appreciated that she chatted with me and gave honest input. So I ordered them here for the first time, and they are pretty good! That night, it looked like only 3 people were working the front of the house, so they were busy, but they were on it and were still friendly and outgoing. The place really has a good vibe. Again, great neighborhood bar!

We were seated at the patio in the back. It was a nice area. I ordered the veal sorrentino and enjoyed it. There was an overabundance of potatos, but the portion sizes and taste of everything else on the plate was good. My brother enjoyed his stuffed cabbage, but said that all the different pierogies were quite bland. The rest of the group had chicken alfredo and were satisfied by it. All in all, it was a nice stop for a quick dinner.

This year, pretty empty, which was disappointing as I came specifically for the atmosphere and vibes. For a group of 4, I made a reservation with a required $50 deposit. The deposit was not reflected on my bill so im assuming it will be returned to my card. Our total bill for food and drinks was almost 400. 2 drinks each, gratuity was included in the bill. Anywhoo.... we were seated upon arrival. There's some parking in the front, which is always good. We used the qr scan to review the menu for our food and drinks. There is football specials, but you will need to scroll. We ordered salmon sliders, jerk chicken plantains sandwich, cheesecake sliders, jerk chicken sliders and various drinks. Things to note: I had to request jerk sauce for the jerk chicken plantain sandwich as it needed it. The salmon sliders also needed the sauce. The jerk chicken pizza was good. It's additional $2 for flavored margarita. The fries with the plantain sandwich were really good but a tad bit salty. Lemon pepper and Appleton rum honey wings were absolutely delicious For a place with not too many people, the food came out very slowly. TV and surround sound system was on point

Let's start with the only real challenge of the night: parking. Between regular White Plains parking adventures and the winter snow situation, it took a little patience. But once we got inside, the night immediately got better. The vibe is college-bar casual, but without the trashiness that sometimes comes with that territory. It's lively but still comfortable enough to actually enjoy a conversation. One thing I loved right away, there are games by the front entrance that you can grab and bring to your table. Drinks + games = instant girls' night upgrade. We were seated in the center near the kitchen, which actually gave us a great view of the whole place. Our drinks were really good, though if the bartender's hand had slipped just a tiny bit more on the pour, I wouldn't have complained. Still solid, still enjoyable. Now the food. Holy moly. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. And the portions? I'm not sure if they thought we were feeding an entire soccer team, but honestly... I support the ambition. I don't think I've ever seen mozzarella sticks that size before. I love leftovers and this place clearly believes in sending you home with some. Another thing I appreciated was seeing a whole section of vegan options on the menu. I didn't try them this time, but I love when a restaurant makes it easy for different diets to find something without turning ordering into a complicated group project. Between the fun atmosphere, great food, and generous portions, this was a great first experience. Next time I come back, I'll just plan ahead for parking... and maybe bring an even bigger appetite.
