Our old piano had little use until we got it tuned by Kelly's. For a very reasonable price it sounds great and now gets regular play time.

We had a fantastic experience with Jon, Austin, and Bryce from Sound Moving Northwest for our move…read morefrom Bellingham to Bellevue. They arrived right on time and immediately got to work with a great attitude--friendly, positive, and incredibly professional throughout the entire day. They had to make a stop at a dumpster first and but were back to our place promptly to start packing, which we really appreciated. Once they began, they worked non-stop--fast, efficient, yet very careful with all of our belongings. I offered to buy them lunch, but they kindly declined and said they preferred to make a quick stop on the way. They were very appreciative of the gesture, which speaks to their professionalism and courtesy. At our new place, they went above and beyond--patiently helping us place items in different rooms and even rearranging things when we needed to make space for additional items coming in. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble for them. Overall, they made what could have been a stressful move feel smooth and easy. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, hardworking, and positive movers!

They arrived on time and worked hard at getting the job done as quickly as possible. The only issue I had was that they were sent a truck that was too small to accommodate all of our possessions, and we were left to actually move our barbecue grill, treadmill, and a refrigerator to our new location on our own. Regardless, I would still recommend them highly and just make sure that your quote is very specific to all items.

I recently called Evergreen inquiring about music lessons. The dude on the phone was overtly…read moremansplainy throughout the call which was annoying and then was being pushy about how frequent I should take the lessons after I had said that I wanted to meet once a week. I'm guessing this guy doesn't reflect the personalities of instructors or their quality of teaching but I didn't really feel like having to deal with the dude when there are other high quality music schools in town at the same price/less expensive. Maybe this guy was actually the owner? I have no idea, but it probably wouldn't hurt to let someone else speak to the public!

Because he's still a novice, private lessons are great, and $100 a month is so affordable. Initially, I thought 25 minutes would be too short, but it turned out to be a great length for a 10 year old to focus. My son works with Amelia. She is very positive and great with kids. She's also flexible. My son was sick last week and couldn't come in, but Amelia was willing to schedule a make-up session on a Saturday morning. Conclusions: My son enjoys coming in every week, and I'm happy with our overall experience. I highly recommend Evergreen Music Studios, but you may want to keep in mind a couple of thing. Things to watch out for: They send you invoices online, and you can pay them online as well. If you use a credit card, they will charge you a convenience fee of $5.85. I think it's silly to pay $5.85 for a $100 invoice. Also, they will assess you 10% on late payments, which they do not disclose on their invoices. ****************************** If you found something useful in my review, please hit "useful" so that I can improve my reviews. Through zoom and later in person lessons, Ms Allison has patiently coached my child into a little pianist, capable of reading notes, playing various pieces and most importantly enjoying music. Note she teaches in the classical style, vs Suzuki method. Ms Allison has been great about encouraging my child's interest - for example, my kid likes to sing and Ms Allison, who has a lovely voice, will encourage them to sing along while practicing to keep a consistent rhythm. At other times, it was about composing little pieces on the piano when there was interest in that. My child has enjoyed the various recitals Ms Allison has put on as well. Ms Allison is a wonderful, kind and patient teacher!

I asked my piano tuner, Brad Fant, for suggestions for other piano teachers. He gave me a short list. Two were not in Pasadena. Because I'm a Senior Citizen without 20/20 vision (its 20/40 in one eye and 20/70 in the other), I did not want to drive out of Pasadena. Voila! Allison and I had a trial lesson at her house and we clicked. Then, Covid hit. Her partner created a great setup for Zoom lessons. She can show me an overhead shot where I can see her fingering technique. She can hold up my theory homework page, which I scan to her, and we can discuss it. Then I turn my laptop so she can see me play the current lesson music! Zoom isn't like being together in person, but I am enjoying our time each week. My husband says that Allison is the best teacher I've ever had. Lorraine K. Altadena CAME
