I love Kelly's and have been going to them for at least eight years. They always give me straightforward answers and never scam me. John is honestly the best I have ever worked with--he's kind and understanding (especially if I have to call him back to figure out how to pay for the work needed), gives me options like short-term fixes (again if money is tight), and usually gets the work done faster than estimated. I am not very trusting of mechanics so when I found Kelly's Auto Care I stuck with them. Sam has been helpful since day one. My family referred me to him and I've been going ever since. Even after my car got totaled and I returned with a new care that wasn't really their specialty they assisted me. I've never had to return for extra work due to lazy work. They always let me know what was going on with my car and always provided reasonable prices. I don't like the parking situation over there but hey one little thing like that can't keep me away. If I could give a 0 I would. I Received a service at this AutoShop and they damaged my 600 dollar shoes and refusing to pay for what they've damaged. No Apologies nothing. They've the nastiest attitudes. Plus they don't even have good quality service. Go in with one problem and you will come out with 8 more. Spend your money wisely and don't come here. Trying to get an estimate on minor body work - stopped into Kelly's on a Saturday morning. Gentleman working behind the desk with no other customers or apparent business to take care of asked if he had spoken to me earlier about the car. I told him no - but when driving by I noticed that they offered Saturday hours so I stopped. He said - I only do estimates with appointments and made no effort to make an appointment with me. There were no customers or workers that I could see - so not sure why he had no interest in potential business. It was obviousl that he could care less if I was there so I took my business to Bavarian one block away. They were happy to help me. Kelly's loss and Bavarians win. I will keep it short and sweet: Relatively quick service, great alternative to a dealership (ten times over) but poor coordination and super pricey. Several times I needed so me work done on my accord, and each time it only took several days to fix. A little bodywork, a little electrical work, and each time the estimates were pretty much dead on. I got exactly what I paid for (not cheap), but on a more timely schedule than anywhere else would offer, and it was closer. The first time they had trouble finding my file because someone had misplaced it, and the second time they couldn't find my key because the mechanic still had it after he filed the finished paperwork. Unsettling, but hey, happens every now and again I guess. read more

Saw some good reviews so I decided to take my 07 Honda Fit to Kelly's. I started to write a bad review a long time ago, then I removed it because I felt bad. But with new developments 8 months later, the work I had done at Kelly's is still causing me a headache and I think you all deserve to know about it. I went there for a couple different repairs. Once for two new front tires plus alignment. I brought my car back TWICE because the alignment was off and continued to pull to the right consistently through 3 total attempts to properly align. Kelly's was not able to correct my alignment in the end, nor identify any other reason why it pulls right. Then the TREAD on the tires bubbled up a year later. By this time I have already switched to a better repair shop. I've also been to Kelly's when my car had started mis firing and it felt similar to when you're in a manual and almost stall out, but mine's an automatic. They determined two of my cylinders' ignition coils needed replaced and all 4 spark plugs too. I had the work done, paid $425, and the very next day my car continued to mis fire. Brought it back. Kelly's said they aren't able to detect any problems. That was 8 months ago. In-frequently, after that, my car would misfire in the past 8 months, but generally drove fine. Last week it turned for the worse and I brought it to a different repair shop that I had started going to after Kelly's had disappointed me on too many occasions. (On that note, I recommend Avondale Independent Honda Auto Service & Repair - way better results and really great communication from the staff.) The new place found that all four spark plugs were worn so badly they no longer worked. They showed me how bad they looked. Spark plugs should not need to be changed more than every 100,000 miles. I drove less than 10,000, that's less than 10% of the life I should have gotten out of the plugs installed new by Kelly's, before they would no longer fire correctly. When it comes to engineering and mechanics, I'm no expert, but I know spark plugs and alignments are two of the most standard maintenance procedures ever known to automobiles. Kelly's botched both of these up, even after repeated visits and opportunities to correct their mistakes. I was very disappointed and remain slightly angry with myself because I pride myself on spending my money well and making good decisions in general. I'm ashamed to admit I wasted a lot of time and hard earned money on Kelly's Automotive, and I gave them way too many 2nd chances with which they continued to fail me. I should have stopped trying sooner. read more

Sam is the general manager at Kelly's Auto Care. He is a straight shooter and he knows cars inside and out. I've been for things as simple as light bulb changes and oil changes. I've had my brakes replaced for way cheaper than the BMW dealership had estimated. They always have the lowest estimates around, they have the car ready on time, and I never feel like I'm being taken advantage of. read more

Horrible experience here. Stopped by to see if they can fix the skipping issue with my windshield wipers. The gentleman walks out looks at my wipers and says nothing is wrong...your windshield just might need to be cleaned. My car has been detailed monthly and not driven (in storage) due to me being stationed overseas oh and I got new wipers. His response is, sorry you just need to clean it. This place is absolutely the best Auto Care business I have come across. I thought the other reviews on here might have been fake, but they totally weren't! As I was waiting, I saw Sam deal with several customers and each time his advice was genuinely in the best interests of the people, doing what needed to be done and stressing nothing more, despite obvious opportunities to take advantage. The prices for services are really reasonable, especially since the waiting area is actually a type of place you wouldn't mind waiting for a period of time (service was speedy regardless)! The floors are shiny and the chairs are very nice and there's a big TV if you like that sort of thing. It was beautifully sparkling clean, that's something rarely seen at Auto places. I just moved to Atlanta from San Francisco and this is definitely my new favorite car home and will return to them for absolutely every auto need possible. Thanks Kelly's! read more

These guys were so professional. I'm always a little leary of going to auto places by myself because I feel like I might get taken advantage of because I know nothing about cars. No fear here. I went in for an estimate, which they were able to perform in less than 15 minutes. I decided to go ahead and have them order parts and do the work. the parts were in that very afternoon and the work was completed 2 days early and under the estimated budget! I can't say anything about the quality of work they do here since I didn't even get to that point...I will explain The guy who does all the estimates showed up over 20 minutes late..at the start of his shift..excuse given: he lives far away. I don't exactly live close to the shop either but that doesn't mean I'm going to show up late. The guy proceeds to tell me that they can't fix my car because it's a Honda from Canada..umm ok...Honda is Japanese..so I'm sure if he wanted to get the part he could. I needed my rear light and bumper and hatchback door repaired. I got several estimates. Kelly's Auto gave a reasonable estimate and promised to get the job done more quickly than other providers (3 business days as opposed to 5-7). I was delighted to get a call and find my car ready to go a day early. Note: inspect the work well (inside and out) before driving away. I only used this repair shop because State Farm forced it on me. The communication between the staff at Kelly's and myself was horrendous. I constantly had to call the shop to find out about estimates and repairs. They never even called me when the repairs were completed (they said they called but they actually called a random number and only called ONCE (self-admitted by the shop) despite the fact that I left all of my correct information with them) and as a result I paid for my rental care for an extra two days. When I realized this and voiced my concerns they were full of excuses and stated "it's not our policy" to call more than one time to inform the car owners that their vehicle is ready. I found their customer service to be of the lowest quality and I wouldn't take my car back here ever again. read more

I took my Jeep Grand Cherokee here yesterday to get the starter looked at. My car was not starting at all, even with a jump, and I had a AAA guy say, with certainty, that the problem was the starter. I told the guys at Kelly's this, and they said they'd look at it. 15 minutes later the repairman, John, comes back and says he's fixed it. "Loose battery cable," he said. I asked him if it wasn't the starter, and he said it wasn't. I was overjoyed to find out I wouldn't have to spend the money for a new starter, shook his hand, and took my car home. I'm in ATL just for a few months for work and I brought my car down here from Chicago. I realized I had to get my rotors and/or brake pads fixed. So I yelped it and found Kelly's Auto Care. I just went last week and I was VERY happy. Sam over at Kelly's looked at it, gave me a rly reasonable price and said he can do it now and it'd be done in an hour and half. So i didnt have to rent a car for that day or anything. He definitely came thru. There were no hidden costs which i always hate. It was done in the amount of time he said it would. And he even cleaned the rust around the wheel posts for free. They rly do seem honest and my car so far is driving great! read more

I always take my older honda civic here and I feel like they do a good job with the maintenance and helping me with other issues with out trying to rip me off or upsell me. Usually I leave my car here just before noon and get it back at around 4-5. I can trust John with the car and he keeps me updated on the phone about what's going on. I sent my complaint to them (see my other review) via certified mail and they refused to receive. Which is clever. It was mailed back to me. It only shows a complete lack of character and maturity. I considered suing them in small claims court but was moving to New Jersey at the time. I wasn't sure if the $400 or so was worth it...flying back, etc. to deal with them. So, I didn't in the end. I instead donated my car to WABE/NPR who made about $700 of it. So, Kelly's negligence had a silver lining. Also, I see several reviews here mention John, who was very friendly and sympathetic to what happened, but since it wasn't his fault, he also couldn't really do anything. John was great but he left years ago. So, again, go here at your own risk. Make sure you have really good car insurance and take pictures of before and afters. read more

I visited Kelly's Auto Care today based on it's positive Yelp reviews. The reviews were spot on. The service was extremely quick, the prices were very reasonable and the customer service was great. I had a nail in my tire. I called ahead and Sam said they could take care of it while I waited. I brought a book and my lunch, expecting to wait at least an hour (I had previously called Pep Boys and been told I'd have to wait at least 1.5 hours), but I didn't even have a chance to open either. My tire was fixed in less than 15 minutes for $15! It was a great experience. I've found my new local repair shop! read more

I work in the area and first took my Jeep to Kelly's 3 years ago when I needed a repair after an accident. They were such a pleasure to work with that I now go for everything from a quick oil change and tire rotation to repairs when needed. Mike and John are the two men I've worked with/spoken to the most and they are friendly and very knowledgeable. They make stressful car problems not quite as stressful just by being nice and easy to work with! Especially given the fact that I don't know much about cars. Okay this is where yelp as finally steered me wrong. Usually I depend on these reviews and they are spot on. I usually take my car to World Toyota but based on these reviews thought I'd try this place and try to save a few bucks. I was having a BAD day and this place made it even worse. Okay so I take my car in around 1:20 and I explain to the nice guy behind the desk that my check engine light is on and that the guys at autozone told me they got a catalytic converter code. The guy behind the desk tells me that Sam won't be back from lunch until 2pm but I can wait and he will check the car out for me since it may not be the CC but if is they don't work on Catalytic Converters. Sigh.... So I ask do they recommend someone who does work on CC, he gives me the name of a shop one being Michelin...bad move. Michelin doesn't work out so I come back and wait for Sam. Sam finally sees me at 2:10 and tells me that he can pull the codes again to make sure he gets what Autozone got and that the charge for that would be $10 (Auto Zone was free). He states that if he does not get a code 420 or 430 then further diagnostics will be $85. He asks me if I want to do that and I say yes, I've already wasted an hour of my life. He tells me to fill out a short form and he'd be right back with me. It's now 2:40. I ask how much longer it is going to be and he states he's not sure maybe 20 or 30 minutes. He states he's the only diagnostic guy. I left, couldn't wait. If you are that great of a shop you should be able to hire two or more guys that can do diagnostics. This is ridiculous. I feel bad giving a bad review because Sam was cordial and the man behind the desk was very very nice but they have to do better, people's time is very very valuable. In addition, The Toyota dealership I am going to tomorrow does not charge $85 for diagnostics they charge nothing and just quote on the work to be done. I need body work done and considered Kelly's but I will not be going back. I can't test my patience like that ever again. What a waste of time! read more

I got in a fender bender back in October and took my car to Kelly's. Afterwords I had to take my car back 5x because the check engine light kept coming on. My A/C made a loud humming noise when I would turn it on after they "fixed it" and when I asked them about the noise they told me that it's because the fan has bag on it. Did I mention this isn't just a little hum...my car's dashboard would vibrate. Now both of my fans are broken in my car and my A/C doesn't work. It's nearly been a year and I'm still dealing with the accident. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

Pathetic. I took my car for inspection at the BODY SHOP . I wanted to show the damages and the person told "He knows how to do his job and asked me to not stand near the car and wait inside the office". In the end gave wrong estimate of damages and I had to call insurance to take to new place. don't waste your time taking your car for inspection or repair. read more

I don't know anything about the work done at Kelly's Auto Care, but their customer service is some of the worst I've ever encountered. Our teenage son hit a parked car and created about a 2 inch dent in another car's flare over the tire. The owner of the car took it to Kelly's. We received an estimate for about $200 for the dent, and then an additional $500 for some damage to the bumper. The man on the phone tried to explain the charges, but admitted that he had not seen the damaged car. I went to look at the car 3 days later. The adjustor, Bryan, was asked to explain the cost of the work to me. He pointed out the dent on the flare, and a scratch to the bumper which resulted in the $500 charge. I asked him to explain why it costs so much to fix a scratch, and he said that the man inside (the same one I had talked to one the phone) would explain it to me. Once again the man inside said that he had not seen the damage and that was the adjustor's responsibility to explain the work to me. I asked to speak with a second adjustor. After 10 minutes of waiting, I was told that there was no other adjustor to talk with. At that time Bryan was outside speaking with another customer. When they were finished, I approached Bryan again and asked why it took 8 hours to repair a scratch on the bumper. He raised his voice and said that he had already told me, and that he had 30 years in the business. Bryan screamed something about the bumper having to be taken off the car, and that was about it. I don't believe I have ever been yelled at before in a retail establishment. With this kind of customer service, I don't know how Kelly stays in business. read more

I have such a hard time pinning down a good car repair place. I had several things wrong with my car, and I went for over a year just living with things like squeaky brakes, shaky steering, a tire that keeps deflating, and even a month with only one headlight. Anyway, I got all that taken care of at Kelly's and I am happy with the service as of the day I picked it up. The one main complaint I have is with the service. The other reviews mention a "Sam" but I don't think he was there. Also I should note that my service was only maintenance and repair, not body work. He said it would be done around noon, but it wasn't done until 4pm. I do appreciate that he confirmed with me before changing our arrangement, and he definitely didn't rip me off, mega appreciate that. read more
