There were some good things and some not so good things to this experience. Context: Brought my car in on the 12th of February wanting my shocks to be replaced and a headlight replaced. They explained that the thrust arms need to be fixed before doing the shocks and that they also found an oil leak. The oil sensor had been saying the oil was low for about a month before that. Every time I checked the dipstick, it looked adequately filled. Perhaps it wasn't a huge leak. I asked them to fix that and do the thrust arms repair. They did both. Not Good Things: My car wasn't ready on the day they said it would be and not the day after either. Because the day after was a Friday, I didn't have it for the entire weekend. I run a lot of errands on the weekend - this was a big negative for me. I'd imagine that isn't the easiest thing to judge for a mechanic shop, but needing two extra days is consequential. I'd rather be told a longer time and budget for that. Again, not a huge deal, but something to consider. Maybe budget a couple of extra days for your repair if you end up bringing your car here. My cabin smelled like oil once I started driving it and after about five days I saw smoke coming out of the front hood of my car and smoke was coming into the cabin through the vents. I saw a good amount of oil below my engine and some oil leaking near the oil cap. I figured the oil was burning slowly. Given one of the line items on my invoice said "clean all oil affected areas" I was a little put off that they didn't clean the pooled oil. It was a fair amount of oil. Good Things: I took it in the next day and explained the problems to the owner. He had gone with me for a short drive after the initial repair because I wanted to show him something during the drive to ask him if it was shock-related and he was nice enough to take a few minutes to ride along at the end of the day. He didn't have to do that, but he did, and that was a nice gesture. He asked to keep the car for about forty-five minutes to replace the old oil cap that was leaking some oil near the top of the engine and clean the remaining oil affected areas. He didn't charge me for the oil cap and o-ring replacement nor the cleaning since it was missed the first time and even replaced some marker light bulbs for free. Verdict: The owner resolved the problem they initially missed in a timely fashion and didn't charge me extra for it or try to pass the blame onto me. We all make mistakes or miss things, myself included. All I can ask for is being willing to resolve the issue and to be fair about it. That's what happened. read more

Outstanding! We live in apartments across from them. My car did not start and I walked over requesting help to jump start it. Jason not only walked back with me to jump start my car but also helped charge the battery fully at no cost at all. They are beyond exceptional in their service and professionalism. Here's one you don't hear everyday--I dropped a diamond earring into the mechanism that moves the driver's seat forward and backwards. In the inside side, no less. I was distraught! Have done two big HP builds with them a Weistec G55 and a supercharged Porsche 996. Build quality and tunes were impeccable as well as concierge service down to oil changes. Finally, I've found an automotive shop that I can trust performing work on my Porsche Panamera S. Chuck and Billy were very professional and took the time to explain to me what repairs were needed. They also went above and beyond to coordinate with a body shop to assess the damage to my front bumper. They provided an estimate for the repairs and I was quite relieved. Nothing compared to what the dealership would charge. Thus, I can certainly say that I won't be seeing the dealership anymore to work on my car. 2 stars because of the fact that I was able to get in same day. But I had b3 maintenance due and was able to get an appointment. The guy at the desk said that someone would be calling a little later to tell me my total. I get a call a few hours later from the owner that I didn't need the fill b3 service blah blah blah. I thanked him for his honesty but he never told me my total. I get there and my total was almost $750. About $200 more than what I usually pay which is insane. Had I know when I initially got the call from billy I would've told them no. Won't recommend and won't return. read more

This is an update after this company did work on my battery the car start to show a warning signal 4 days after stating my battery was low this is a new battery that was installed 4 months before I came here. On the 6th day after taking my car here my car battery went dead. My car has been dead the last 3 weeks after because of something that was done to my battery. Now I have to pay more money for a tow due to something that was done to my car here. read more

Beware, If you have a problem with the service performed on your car do not expect manager Jason to communicate with you or take responsibility for the error. I took my SUV in for a minor sunroof problem which had to do with the wind screen. I left my keys with manager Jason telling him what appeared to be the problem. They kept my car for three days, Billy said the problem had to do with the motor and after the unnecessary repair was made I was charged $1260.00. When I discovered the problem had not been fixed I mentioned this to them and they took no responsibility. I have called twice leaving messages and they have not returned the calls and appear to not want to deal with me or discuss the issue. I originally brought my car in for a simple oil change. This usually costs me $140-$165 everywhere I've ever been. After getting no communication the bill came to be $293. Nothing short of a complete rip of and scam. The owner made excuse after excuse about why it costs that much. After correcting him on his pricing and him agreeing to refund me $140 (which still hasn't happened) he told me the main reason was to do an "oil inspection" on the car. 1st - I didn't ask for an "oil inspection" 2nd - Every shop does FREE inspections. So he says he is going to make it up to me by using my warranty for rod bearings. Which the car needs. Come to find out he charges $150 an hour. Of course when I question him I get no communication again. It's honest incredible he is still open. For the same price as a BMW dealership with certified technicians. I made him write me a quote and the price difference is insane compared to 2 other shops I got quoted from including global BMW. I could go to Gobal and get it fully certified by there professional for cheaper than what this shop/owner wrote up. This shop is nothing short of a rip off. The owner is full of it and is only out to rip you off. You can tell online because half the reviews on there channels are as fake as the owner himself! read more

The experience was fantastic. Jason was referred to perform a pre purchase inspection on a Rolls Royce I was looking at acquiring. He provided an extremely thorough inspection identifying every inconsistency, big or small with pictures. I notoriously wait until my BMW is near explosion before I'll take it in for repairs, as a result of Global's highly inflated prices and inefficiency at ever getting it right the first time I take it in. Buckhead Imports has 100% eased the hatred of BMWs that the dealership cultivated for 10 years. They are super responsive, will explain what's going on with the car in detail, and FAST. Something that would have taken the dealership 2-3 days to complete just takes a couple of hours here. If you like genuine people and perfect service/maintenance, this is your place. read more

Textbook example of the unscrupulous auto mechanic. Suffice it to say that I wouldn't trust them with a jalopy. There was a time - before their Marietta shop failed and closed its doors - that these guys could be trusted. Not anymore. This shop represents the epitome of unscrupulous car mechanics. They flat out stole from me, quoting me a film price prior to the job, then holding my vehicle hostage to pay more than DOUBLE after the job was completed. Yes, Mark, your obnoxious comment about "a Physics guy should understand that 6 hours of work should be charged at 16 book hours," wasn't missed on me. It is clear that you are personally crooked at the core. And...your snide under-the-breath comment about "a legend in your own mind" was - as you intended - insulting. Congratulations. You are a MASTER of customer service. Brilliant! UPDATE (July 30, 2015): While working under my vehicle, I discovered that Buckhead Imports destroyed my left side sway bar end link while replacing the engine mounts. Stay away from this place!!! I have a strong suspicion that most of the reviews are BOGUS!!!! This place is extremely expensive!!!! And, both MARK and one other service writer are clowns!! By no means these guys are friendly - they are more like typical two-faced Southerners that makes you want to puke in your stomach!!! They are also bothered by any repairs that costs less than a thousand dollars. They wanted to put a brand new catalytic converter on my 12 year-old Mercedes for $2,000 for the crack in the converter. Instead I took it to Mercedes of Buckhead, and they recommended that I take it to any muffler shop and have the crack welded instead. It cost me $200 at a muffler shop on Piedmont Road for what these clowns wanted to do at $2,000!!! These guys are also very GREEDY!!! They put VALVOLINE in my Mercedes and charged me $125 (before tax). On my next oil change, I took my car to Mercedes of Buckhead and they put Mobile 1 for $99 (before tax) while I waited in a very nice lounge drinking complimentary coffee and eating European pastry in a very nice state-of-the art multi-million dollar building. These guys have a very low overhead with the shop which is about to fall apart, and charges the same or actually more than some Mercedes dealers - for example, get your oil changed at Mercedes Buckhead for a lot less instead of this hole-in-the-wall shop. Always call and get an estimate. At one occasion, they wanted to charge me $650 for the same work they quoted at $500 when no extra work was done. I've been taking my problem child here since I purchased her last year. First of all, they're one of the few places in Atlanta that are knowledgeable enough to work on my Crossfire. After an obnoxious amount of calls to Chrystler, Mercedes and others, I found them on the Crossfire forums, where they were highly recommended. I couldn't agree more. Secondly, Mark ALWAYS returns my call promptly. Third, they have saved me hundreds of dollars by taking a little extra time to find less expensive parts. Jason is great. He's extremely knowledgeable and is always looking to get you the most bang for your buck. I haven't been coming here too long but these guys have always taken care of me and they're always looking out. Anytime i walk in the shop they make time for me and answer whatever questions I may have. The only negative is once i came to pick my car up and there was a McDonald's wrapper in the back seat( i hate McDonald's) but the guys were so nice i didn't make a fuss about it. Can't comment too much on the price of repairs. I don't like too many people touching my car so even if Jason was gouging me I'd come back cause he takes great care of my engine. read more

I like this place mainly based on pricing and timeliness. Took my Mercedes here for a water pump replacement and a few filters. This saved me close to $1K, as compared to the dealership. The down side is that they do not offer any loaner cars, so one has to wait nearby the shop or get a ride - but totally worth it, given the savingns. Buckhead Imports are Honest Mechanics, with kind, compassionate good people! I own a BMW 3281. 2 weeks ago in heavy rain, I was pulled over by the Police for my brake lights being out. I was rattled, and called Global imports where my car was always serviced. I was told that my car recently went out of warranty and it would cost me $185 for a diagnostic ( even though I clearly new it was a blown bulb) And the cost to replace the bulb would cost me $320 for "2 hours" work. I went from rattled to overwhelmed and very sad. Then I remembered the shop across from Buckhead village Apartments. I drove there. In the pouring rain a man named Mike came out to greet my daughter and I with a smile. I explained the situation, he informed that he was the Mercedes specialist and got Alex the BMW specialist. Alex unscrewed & popped out the lights, He and Mike replaced them. In less than 15 minutes, my daughter and I relieved and almost in tears, were on our way home. I will just say that the price was "Heavenly"!! I will never take my Car anywhere else. Buckhead Imports are highly skilled, Great Mechanics and Great people, that do a Great job at a Great price. Mark was unbelievably helpful. My kid was driving through Atlanta on his way home to FL on Christmas break and had a transmission malfunction light on his 2006 530i. He saw him right away in the morning and was so helpful on checking faults, filling up the fluid and letting us know how to make the drive home with the transmission faults. I know this because after I got the bill, I had a suspicion that it was unreasonably high, so I called around, including the car dealership repair shop, and they even told me that I paid a lot more than what the going rate by at least 30%. read more
