I've used Kelly Keys twice over the past six years or so, to repair my Suzuki Mini Baby Grand Digital Piano. Super nice people: both the lady in the office and the repairman. "Repairman" is understating his expertise. He actually has an impressive background and education in digital music and instrument repair. Kelly Keys special ordered parts for my piano and kept me informed about the ETA. And there were no unexpected charges. I like to try to fix whatever I can myself, but a digi piano full of sticking keys was way too intimidating, even for me. Kelly Keys knew exactly how to fix it and did so for a very fair price. My Yamaha Clavinova had a few keys that played too loud. I called Kelly Keys. Jim and his wife are amazing. Gave me a quote on the phone and then in writing. Ordered the parts without even asking for a deposit. Then after the parts came in, Jim came right over and fixed it. He has done hundreds of these repairs so he can do it with his eyes closed. "A man is coming this afternoon to fix your organ" I announced to my 87-year old mom before we both broke down in laughter. It sounded like a line from a porn film. Like everything else about her, my mom's electric organ is old. On my last visit I got it working briefly only to have it die out again shortly after she sat down to play. It's an ungainly thing that can't just be hauled down to Guitar Center for repair. How I even found Kelly Keys is a mystery that I'd not like you to have to go through. They bill themselves as a "organ, keyboard, and digital piano repair" service for "all makes and models". That'll do. Whether Kelly Keys has a physical shop out of which they operate is another mystery to me. Once I had their number I phoned for an appointment and arrangements were subsequently made. I have no idea where that town is in which they're based but it didn't much matter as the organ itself was going nowhere. Kelly Keys schedules appointments for dates and times when they'll be in the area and they cover a wide swath of areas (in this case, Newport Beach). Depending on your location you might have to wait a bit to get a date but when you do you'll also get a 2-hour window during which they'll arrive. Charges are $125 for the first hour and they'll let you know in advance if they expect to exceed that. Repairs come with a 90 day warranty. The technician was on time and my mom's organ was fixed for $125. Oh were it that simple to keep all her other organs working. I contacted Kelly's Keys before the holidays with a repair that was going to (I hoped) fall under the 5-year warranty. Between holidays and them needing to be in touch with Yamaha, I easily expected it to be mid-January before I heard back, but just after New Years, a very nice woman called (I'm sorry I don't remember her name) and was ready to schedule an appointment for the repair. That was able to happen within a couple of days and sure enough Jim Kelly, the owner himself, came out to fix my digital piano. He also took time to make some helpful recommendations and answer questions. I highly recommend them! read more

We had some troubles w our expensive keyboard and Mr Kelly was able to come to our house within days of calling. He took the time to completely inspect and clean and educate me on the problem and made lots of efforts to even try to help get affordable parts that it needed...even before getting new parts it already works better than before he cleaned it! I have been dealing with them for over 3 months for a small piano repair and I am still waiting for resolve. My first phone inquiry took almost two weeks to get a call back, followed by over a month of slow return calls, no scheduling, etc... We did finally get someone to come out nearly 5 weeks after my first inquiry who diagnosed the simple issue, but neither Katie nor Jim have followed up or returned our call. I couldn't tell you whether or not there their repair skills our top tier, but there lack of customer service coupled with zero sense of urgency is beyond frustrating. read more

I've been trying to call Kelly Keys for the past 2days but cannot get through the line. Each time after dialing , the call just drops . Is anyone else experiencing this? There's no email address or another number and I am suppose to have a return visit from them to finish repairing my digital piano. My experience with Kelly Keys started with me asking a question about my 15 year old Roland digital piano using the Yelp website. I received a response within an hour and after a few more exchanges I received a phone call from them and made an appointment with Jim to make a service visit at my house. He arrived within the timeframe he said he would and thoroughly examined the inside of the piano and ended up discovering a tiny crack in the pc board that ended up being the problem. I am very happy Jim was able to fix my old piano without needing to replace hard to find parts. I highly recommend using Kelly Keys and have already done so to my mother-in-law. read more

Can't say enough good things about Kelly Keys! After a failed attempt by a piano technician from another company, Kelly Keys was the only place I could find to service my digital mini grande piano in home. I told them my problem over the phone and Katie seemed very knowledgeable. They ordered the replacement part for me and set up an appointment for when they would be in my area. (In Glendale which is crazy far from where they are based!). Apparently they cover a HUGE area. So hit them up, they will give you a time when they can make it out to you. The technician came out and fixed the piano promptly. He explained what had caused the problem and assured me that it wouldn't happen again after the repair. He gave me tips on maintenance. And a 90 day warranty on the repair. When a different problem came up after he had already left, he was nice enough to come back and fix the problem free of charge. Thank you so much!
