Designers were brought in to prepare plans and permits, and the work began. Our project manager, Adi, was one of the kindest, most attentive people I've ever worked with. He stayed in constant contact, visited the site frequently, and ensured every detail met extremely high standards. It became a running joke between us about changing their slogan to "quality you can afford"--he humored me, and it perfectly captures the team's approach. The craftsmanship from Flavio, the lead contractor, was exceptional. We didn't pick the easiest designs, but the finished primary bathroom shower tile is genuinely a work of art--everyone who sees it comments on it. We also can't forget "Muscle Memo", who handled all the heavy lifting--climbing through dusty attics, crawling under grimy crawl spaces, and tackling the toughest physical work. His effort made the project run smoothly and safely. Adding to the charm, the team brought their own portable bathroom, which hilariously became a little local attraction--neighbors and passersby would sometimes "need to go," and we all shared a laugh over it. They also discovered additional dry rot during the project and always consulted with us and obtained approval before proceeding. They worked non-stop--even in the cold! He was honest and upfront about what could realistically be done during the dry season, so we decided to focus solely on the dry rot repairs. Thankfully he was able to send his professional two-man crew the following day. The two men were efficient and clearly competent, perfect for the task at hand. The bedroom issues were easily resolved, but the bathroom is where they really succeeded. Not only was the mold wiped and removed, the surrounding tile grout was scrubbed and shiny like new. A nice touch by these guys. After a weekend of dehumidifying Frank took air samples in each affected room and sent them to an independent lab. All the tests passed with flying colors. I would recommend DiBlasi Restoration in a heartbeat. Frank has been at this for several successful decades and is righteously confident in his methods and protocols. I was so overwhelmed due to the extent of the damage but he took the time to explain what was happening, what needed to be done, and why. He may not be the cheapest option out there (although still reasonable priced!), but you get what you pay for. The level of professionalism, honesty, and expertise he brings is worth it. What I appreciated most is that it genuinely felt like he approached the job as if it were his own home. He was focused on actually fixing the problem the right way, not just doing the minimum or up charging you for unnecessary work.
