I wish I could give no star or even negative. While in MA for work we sadly ended up with a nail in our tire. As we do not know the area we decided the dealership would be the best place to go... they would know what they were doing and be able to get it done quickly and without hassle.... HA yeah right! Honestly, I've seen high school auto shop kids work faster and do a better job. We called and got an apt at 1 for them to look at the tire and plug it if possible (firestone had said they couldn't as we went to them first since they were five mins away, but they wanted double the cost for two new tires so we went for a second opinion) If it was not possible they were to change out the 2 front tires, as the passenger side front tire had the nail and the car is front wheel drive. The back two tires were a bit rough and are planned to be replaced by winter, of course the dealer saw this and tried to push us to get the rear ones replaced as well. We declined and explained the only reason she was doin the replacement now in another state months ahead of her plan was because we didnt have a choice when we were told it couldn't be plugged. They seemed understanding and said they would get right to it. at almost 4 (3 hours later) they told us they were almost done and would get the paperwork started only for us to sit for another 30 mins and then have them come out to tell us they had made a mistake and somehow put tires that were $300 more on it because they matched the tires that she had before and totally disregarded the order that should have said we wanted the cheaper tires per our converstaion not only on the phone for the apt but when we got there for the apt. They tired to get her to keep them more than once even going so far as to leave and come back a few minutes later to ask if she was sure before they switched them over. stating "The other tires are on the machine now but we wanted to be sure before we switched them"... and even with them saying that it still took another hour and 40 mins before they were ready and we got to leave. They waved the meager $70 in labor and since we were meant to be on the road by 8am we happily left to head home ready to put the shit time and customer service behind us. Unfortunately that wasn't the end. We stopped for gas before popping on the freeway and my friend noticed the back tires where still full of the foam crap from being changed... The front tires were what we requested get the new tires as the car is front wheel drive. By then we were like forget it oh well at least there isn't a nail they will be fine. AS A JOKE I was like 'what if they changed the wrong tires and the nail is still in there' The second I said it we checked because it sounded crazy but after our day, we didn't put it past them and honestly, thank god we did because sure as hell that nail was still in the front passenger tire... We drove back and got a manager who said all we can do is apologize and fix it, and by fix it he meant plug the tire and put the new ones up front.... PLUG THE TIRE, which we were told wasn't possible in the beginning and hence was the reason we did the two new tires to begin with! I knew that there was a joke about women going to car places and them taking advantage of them but this is beyond crazy. I grew with a mechanic as a father and honestly if I weren't pregnant I would have plugged the damn tire myself, and really wish I had. Never did I think ford would be not only so unprofessional with how they handled mistake after mistake but I didn't think a company as big and well known would take part in the preying on women. It's disgusting and so wrong. I hope everyone in that service center has the day they deserve, some of them wouldn't be to happy with it. read more

I purchased a vehicle from this dealership preowned. They told me they would take care of detailing, scratches, servicing, transferring plates, insurance, inspecting the vehicle, and all of that. My vehicle was never inspected, the scratches are still on my car, The seats and interior were never detailed, When I picked my car up the tire was still not inflated fully. I called for a manager about a week ago to complain about these services that were never completed. And have still heard no response. I have no problems with Ford vehicles. Although I highly do not recommend this dealership based on customer service and their overall quality of service. read more

So dude writes up car B with Car C's price, takes 2k off what he'd verbally offered for my trade and pumps up my mileage, and landing 3 grand over my offer. I was waiting patiently so he told me to move my car for another person so they could enter the service area. So I moved, after telling him that I had an appointment at 8:15am. Then he asked me why I was there, and I told him again that I had an appointment at 8:15am. He looked at me funny because I have a Hyundai, and I told him that I brought the car with Ford, pre-owned. Then I parked in the service area and he just turned his back as I exited my car with my dad. So I just walked into the building to speak with Juan and he knew I had an appointment and spoke to me with great customer service. Thanks Juan for improving my experience. They acknowledged there was a problem but after bringing it back to them 4 times within 2 months (2 of which they had the vehicle for over a week) they were unable to find the problem. This situation has gone beyond a bad car buying experience into gross negligence of Adam Hoyt the General Manager in badly treating and hurting a disabled veteran. Adam Hoyt at Kelly Ford told me a "disabled veteran" that "I wasn't a man if I didn't sign the purchase agreement." He then challenged my disability on the showroom floor in front of everyone. I've never experienced this, it was embarrassing and telling a disabled veteran you don't believe they have a disability is disgusting. Where has Brian Kelly been this entire time? After trading in my vehicle and buying a Ford Escape at Kelly Ford with cash it broke down several times. Four months later I got some of my money back only under the conditions from Adam Hoyt telling me "I wasn't a man if I didn't sign the purchase agreement." Don't waste your time. Would give zero stars if I could. They will try any tactic they can to get you to pay more money. Spent 3 hours with them on Memorial Day weekend and finally came to an "agreement" on a trade in and lease. After spending all that time there (and not even test driving the car!) they tried to push me into leasing on the spot as their "incentive pool of money" may not be the same if I came back the next day. Unfortunately I could not spend the whole day there and agreed with the salesman to come back first thing in the morning. Upon arriving back to the dealership, everything seemed to be great. The ball was rolling, and I filled out the financing paperwork. After filing out paperwork basically giving them permission to run credit, I was told that $1,150 was no longer available from their "pool" and that the monthly lease payment we "agreed to" was over $100 more a month! When I questioned why this was the case, I was given every excuse in the book. I was told that there was an additional $3000 on top of the downpayment that I was responsible for (didn't come up in the 3 hours I was there the day before!), that they advertise all the incentives in the price so I was adding an extra $2500 in rebates I wasn't eligible for. I was also assured that my credit was not run, but I wouldn't be surprised with they way they run things. I could keep going on and on, but long story short - don't waste your time. They will tell you everything you want to hear until it comes down to actually purchasing the car. There are plenty of other dealerships out there. read more

My whole experience with Kelly Ford was extremely negative. If you are looking for a new or used car I suggest you go elsewhere. The following is how Kelly ford ruined my car buying experience. 1) I had purchased a used car that had supposedly passed their "multi point inspection". Just 2 months later I learned that the car needed a new battery and over 500$ in transmission maintenance. Selling a car with such glaring issues was in extremely scummy. 2) The people at Kelly Ford had incorrectly filed the necessary paperwork with the MA RMV and never listed my bank as the lien holder on the Car title. When trying to correct this problem no one at Kelly Ford was helpful. My point of contact Gary, the sales manager, was dodging my phone calls and never responded to my emails. Every time I called and talked to someone at Kelly Ford they would just give me the runaround and give lip service. Kelly Ford's incompetence nearly got me in trouble with my bank. In May 2017, I purchased a new Escape from Kelly Ford. My sales experience with Mike was great, fairly straightforward except for a small financing hiccup, but delivery was quick. However, since purchasing the car I've been back for service five times for various electrical issues, with only one of those visits for routine maintenance. Even then, when I brought the car in for 7,500 mile service & a display screen issue, I had to pull off I-95, 20 minutes after pick up during a snowstorm, for a tire pressure warning because the mechanic mistakenly set all four tires to 10 PSI under the required pressure. Today (Saturday) I dropped my car off for the fifth time, assuming it would be ready for pick up the same day like the other times. Around 5, I didn't hear anything, so I called and found out that service is closed for the day and I'll receive a call on Monday with an update. The service team has been very kind through all of this, but I traded in my '08 Focus for a new car with the intention of not having a vehicle in the shop every other month. I understand these issues are outside of the dealer's hands, but I would appreciate more communication from the service team. At this point, I just want to sell the car back, which is unfortunate because I do love everything else about it. read more

They sucked all the excitement of buying a car right out of the experience! Tried to charge me $1000 more than the price on cars.com, then acted like they were doing me a favor by honoring the price. Had a 9:00 appointment to meet with the financial person and he kept me waiting 20 minutes. Then he wouldn't take my check, I had to get a bank check because he said it takes 5-10 business days for the check to clear. The deposit check I gave him on Friday cleared my bank on Tuesday. Then they didn't have the time right for me to pick up the car & I wanted to keep my plates & they were going to cancel them & give me new plates. I bought a Ford Escape from Ambrose on a Thursday with cash, yet couldn't get it until Wednesday. Within a few weeks of trading in my vehicle and purchasing the truck the service engine light came on. I brought the truck in and since have had to have it towed and brought back to the dealership seven times now. I asked for my money back two times and when I asked about trading it for another vehicle since it had been in the shop for weeks, Ambrose said "I would be happy to help you get into another vehicle and I will help you out with the other one." They can't fix the truck and want me to buy another one. I was told the General Manager was aware of this situation last month but after finally speaking to him on Monday, he was unaware of this entire situation. He told me he would speak with maintenance and call me back Tuesday, Adam still hasn't called me back. I brought it in this last time because the engine was sputtering to a stop on the side of the road with the warning to shut off the engine immediately. It wasn't until I showed the maintenance manager a video of me broken down that he said "we are going to call an engineer to look at this," that was over 3 weeks ago. I just bought a pre-owned certificate car this this dealership. I give 1 star rate for this review because I got the car I wanted, the new appearance of Kelly Ford Beverly at new location and the rest for the all liars. If you are first time car buyer, be aware with liar here. I strongly recommend you to take as much time as you can at this dealership to check on your car as well as read carefully every single word in the sale contract, other contracts, and everything that they promised you to fix, clean, change,etc, you have to place them in the contract and you should just put down a deposit until they do what they promise you to do. Dont ever finance with dealership. Doesnt matter how much your credit score is, credit union bank always give you one of the lowest interest rate on market, go to them first before you go to dealership. Now, let talk about the other 3 stars that they fail me. If you want to buy a car here, make sure you read all reviews that they are not rated 5 stars.I searched online and found a pre-owned certificate Ford Focus 2017 at Kelly Ford Beverly. It's an hour drive from my house to get there but I didnt mind because I interested in that car. Right when I got there, the nightmare sale experience began. The entry time there I worked with Michael (my sale person), sale manager (I forgot his name) and Ray (Financial manager). Michael gave me very short time for test drive, didnt show or tell me much about feature of the car. He told me to have the price as it's showed on Kelly Ford Beverly website, I have to finance with them. I asked him to show me the proof saying that on their website. He kept saying right there , right there but never showed to me. He said if I dont finance with them, the price will go up almost $4000 more. Okay, that was my stupid that I didnt walk away when he said that. He promised me those scratches I saw on the car would me easy to take off, they fix them when I pick up my car . But they didnt do anything when I came to pick up; he changed his tongue, he said because I bought a used car, so I shouldnt expect it as a brand new car. He didnt give me 5 digit code for keypad on my door, I called him and he kept promising me he will look for it. For almost 2 weeks, I had to be the one kept contacting him asking for 5 digit code, he never contacted me first. The last time I called him, he wanted me to take my car go back their dealership (1 hour away from my house), so then they will look into it. I ended up looked up how to find factory 5 digit code and fix that problem myself. Before I came to pick up my car, I called to inform them and asked if the car is ready, he said it's ready but it's not. It doesnt have vehicle inspection report sticker on my car ready for me while I already paid to have it. He said because their printer machine didnt work that day. I had to spend time to go to other place near my house to do that instead. About finance, they told me they collected my information to run credit check with Ford Bank only but as you know, they lied, they ran credit report with other banks too. Ray - financial manager- told me my credit score is just okay, normal, so I couldnt get good rate while my credit score at that time was 751. He said Ford Bank gave me the rate 7.9%, so he went beyond and above to contact other banks (Key bank and Huntington bank) to have better rate 6.39% and mentioned again if I dont finance with them, I wont get the price showed on their website.He told me I just need to finance with Key bank 4 months, then I can refinance with different bank I wanted. He automatic put the whole amount of the purchase to finance. Because the intereste rate from Key bank he gave me was too high, so I told him I want to pay down at least half of it, he said no because minimum for finance is $10,000. Later on when I got home, I looked into Key bank website, I saw the minimum os Lucky that I didnt have anymore trust for them this time. I didnt wait until 4 months, I refinance my car as soon as I have paperwork from Key bank Again, make sure you have to check every single word in the contract before you sign in. If you chose to finance with them, dont sign sale contract until they inform you how much the interest rate is going to be. Otherwise, after you sign in, they can give you whatever number they want to make up money. You make decision if you want to buy car from them or not but my whole experiences with them was horrible. Even paperwork from Key bank sent to my house 10 days after purchase look bad,too. It's only have 2 pages, telling you have much you have to pay per month, account numbers. There is no term and condition for this car finance sent to me. I hadnt felt happy at all after for my purchase until I could refinance with credit union bank only 2.25% 2 weeks after my purchase. You dont have to wait 4 months or 6 months to be able to refinance as they said. No penalty for refinance. Read your sale contract carefully. read more

This place appeared great... from a distance. Internet salesman was friendly and kept line of communication open while I shopped around different vehicles. Was a little annoying with the every-day calls but I respect that is his job. Get people in the door. Even the general manager I spoke to on the phone the morning I visited the dealership was accommodating. Once I got to the dealership everything changed. Everyone I had been dealing with disappeared and I was matched up with a salesman. The 'icky car salesmen' vibe washed over me the more I interacted with him. I was left with the vehicle I was interested in for about 45 minutes. Alone. Once I took it for a drive (also alone - good thing I didn't have any questions!) I was then ushered to a waiting room where I sat... watching Rosanne for an hour and a half. I was then brought to a tiny room where I was offered this handy printout of what my payment would be for different time lengths and asked which one would work for me. The numbers were wildly high so I scanned through the paperwork and noticed the trade value was $5,000 under what KBB listed as the *fair* trade in value. They had conveniently factored in what they called "negative equity" into the deal. After realizing I had caught on, they tried to scare me into taking their offer and to finance the *negative equity* into my loan. They bashed my vehicle. Painted worst case scenarios for before resale repairs. It was all just bogus. I was immediately repulsed by the sketchy tactics and told them I was going to leave (after being there now... going-on 4 hours). He then did the typical "let me go talk to my manager. I'm working for you. Not the dealership". I think I actually laughed in his face for a second when I heard that one. 20 minutes later the salesman came back and tried the "what do we have to do to get a deal". I explained that he needed to come up 5k on the trade and he said he couldn't do it and tried to shame me on my trade. Once he realized he had lost my business he handed me back my keys and sarcastically mumbled "good luck". 2 weeks later I purchased the same vehicle from a different Ford dealership and they didn't mess around with trying to screw me. First offer for the trade came in right where it should have (5k over what Kelly had offered and stood firm on). A word of advice. Go somewhere else. Ford dealerships are everywhere. There really shouldn't be any confusion or games on the general numbers for everything when buying/trading in a vehicle these days. It's saddening to know car dealerships are still so sketchy in the age of internet transparency. read more

Well the sub contractor gave the paint a 4 step detail system the paint looks good at this time . I hope it is a true refinish to the paint surface. There was 3 plastic trim panels one with the keyless entry illuminated keypad (3days new)that did not buff out ,Ian looking to get them replaced . So far 2 days without a return call for a follow up answer from the service adviser to the detail contractor . I did tell the service advisor and the subcontractor for the detail company owner at the plastics will not buff out and if not I want them to be replaced . Well we'll see what happens I'll let you know Six days later and still getting a runaround read more

In December 2020, I brought my 2017 F-150 into Kelly Ford in Beverly MA to have the sunroof inspected and repaired. I had purchased the vehicle from them new in 2017. At the time, the sunroof was not functioning properly and there appeared to be a mechanical issue. The sunroof would not open or close. After 2-3 days of service, Kelly told me my truck was ready to be picked up and the sunroof was repaired. When arriving to the dealership, the sunroof appeared to be working and I left the dealership. All paperwork/charges were settled. In March/April, I contacted Kelly Ford again when I realized that the sunroof was not functioning properly. Whenever I tried to open the sunroof, I would hear a loud "pop" and then it would not open. Considering it was still winter and the sunroof was not used due to winter weather, there was no urgency on my part to bring the truck back to have it inspected/repaired. I was in no hurry to go another 3 days without my truck when I pickup/drop-off my kids at school every day. Shortly after discovering the sunroof was not working properly, spring weather arrived here in Boston and I noticed that there was now a water leak in/around the sunroof when raining. When the leak was discovered and considering that it was now Spring, I called for an appointment with Kelly to have it inspected/serviced once again. When I arrived at my appointment on 06/01/2021, I explained the issues to the service manager at Kelly Ford and also requested a $250 detail (interior/exterior) along with a $50 oil change/tire rotation. I explained to the manager that on the way to the appointment, the sunroof appeared to be operating again but I wanted it inspected again because it was not operating correctly a couple months back and now there is a leak in that area of the vehicle. The Service Manager asked me to sign paperwork, agreeing to a $150 diagnostic charge. He mentioned that if there was an issue with the sunroof clips they replaced in December, they would waive the fee but if there was an issue with anything else associated with the sunroof, I would be responsible for the $150 charge. Why would anyone agree to pay an additional $150 diagnostic fee for inspecting and repairing the same mechanical issue with the sunroof (and now a leak)? If the issue is the clips that they replaced, they would not charge me anything. If the issue is not the clips (meaning that they did not repair correctly the first time), I would be responsible for a $150 charge. The Service Manager told me that without agreeing to a $150 charge they would not be able to provide any service. This will be my last visit to Kelly Ford in Beverly MA. I have already preordered a 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning through Kelly Ford and will be transferring this purchase to another dealership. I will not use their service department again and would not recommend this dealership to anyone interested in a Ford vehicle. read more

I found a vehicle on a third-party site with a listing price around $16K. Once the "test drive" was complete and we sat to talk numbers, I informed the sales person that I would buy the vehicle outright - no financing. When he returned from speaking with his manager, the final sale price quoted to me was nearly $3,000 over third-party site listing price. I was told the following: The online price includes captive cash and the only way for us (Kelly Ford) to qualify for the captive cash is if you (the buyer) hold the financing until your 4th payment is due then you are able to pay off the vehicle in full. Without the captive cash we will not be able to reduce the price to the amount found on the third-party site. The third-party pricing is posted with Kelly Ford's permission. The practice of forcing customers to finance their vehicle through Ford in order to honor third-party pricing is illegal (some would consider it a bait and switch). read more

Waited a month for an appointment to get my car checked for a squeaking sound that stopped when the breaks were applied. Took an entire day, even with an appintment to have it checked and diagnosed. Was told the diagnosis was a clock spring. Told them my car has none of the symptoms that go along with that diagnosis and did someone drive it and hear it. Was told absolutely "two techs drove it" and "the best tech" was working on it. Agreed to have it fixed, they called me today an hour before close and reassured me again that it was "double checked" and "even the manager looked at it and everything was perfect." Well guess what, I drove off the lot and not even a mile away it started squeaking again. Went right back to them but conveniently "everyone was gone for the night and there was bothing they could do." So I will be back first thing tomorrow morning to take a ride with a tech and be reimbursed what I payed for the clock spring. Which magically was $100 less today than what they originally told me yesterday when they diagnosed it, because they "helped me out." It's my third time bothering this dealership with my 14 fiesta. I've had to bring it in for service for the same issue several times, turns out it's got a recall on the transmission. Every time I've brought it in, the service team has been very patient and professional. This was the worst lease return I have ever experienced. They were the rudest people I have ever delt with. The general manager Adam Hoyt was absolutely horrible. Never never buy a vehicle at that location. Only gave it one star cuz I had to read more
