I recently moved to the area from Sterling Heights, where I have lived for the past 20 years, and…read morewas looking for a local yard to get some parts I am looking for to use for my projects. I was not greeted at all, I had to walk past the door into the entrance to the yard in order to try to talk to someone. I was just stopping in to find out the offerings, the type of vehicles, etc., and I had my 10 year old son with me. The two "gentlemen" sitting by the table had to be addressed before they would speak to me. I tried to say what I was doing there, and why I stopped in. I was interrupted and told I had to pay $1 to see the yard. Twice. I had said that was not necessary, and tried to ask questions once again, and was told I had to pay, and my son could not accompany me. I said again I did not intend on walking the yard, I wanted to know if they had a manifest, what major tools could be used, hours of operation, etc., but got interrupted once again by a "woman" who walked out to say my son could not be here. I was interrupted again when I was saying I had no intention of going on the yard, when she said he had to stand inside the door, which was less than 5 feet away. I got sick of trying to give my business to them, and sick of being treated like an ass and left. They need the $1, to not be interrupted while sitting in their behinds, and to be rule mongers for rules not listed in any way that I saw more than they needed to represent the company in a responsible, yet reasonable and friendly way. I will drive out of my way to give my business to someone who treats me like I am a wanted customer, and will "tolerate" my investigation of services before I give the obligatory fee. Not worth my money. I will pay more elsewhere then ever go back.

Selection is good, but it's luck to find parts for an uncommon vehicle. The staff is ok but one of the cashiers seems grumpy. They have a rewards program that is cool but she doesn't always ask for your phone number to register points. Other cashier cool. I recommend Parts Galore.

A run-of-the-mill auto store, this one is a step above some of the others, because the staff is…read moreactually trained and experienced. Do not go to the Auto Zone just south of here; save yourself the hassle and go to Advance Auto. I've gone here many times, often for battery/alternator testing when I was trying to fix problems. They are very quick to do these free services. One guy even went out in the miserable rain to test my car, and he said it was "absolutely no problem." He disconnected and cleaned the very corroded terminal too. They never pressure you to buy products or trick you into getting things you don't really need. They have a tool chest of supplies you can borrow if you need to make repairs yourself in the parking lot. When my wife bought her car from a used lot, the battery was bad. Rather than drive back to the place we bought it (unsure if they would fix it), we went here to buy a new battery after the guy who tested it said it was "almost completely shot." The battery he was going to sell us was a standard $119.00 battery, and we had the debit card ready to get it. However, he noticed that her battery, a Duralast brand, was a product from Auto Zone and that the battery was less than two years old (still under full warranty despite us not being the original buyer). He told us to take it back to Auto Zone and try to sucker them into replacing it, and that's exactly what we did. That guy at Advance Auto saved us $119.00. I know it wasn't money out of his pocket, but it was still an extremely nice gesture.

I knew that I kept my receipt but after recently moving I could not find it anywhere. When I arrived at the store I had my bank statement handy for proof of purchase (along with the old battery). Julianna assisted me and let me know that my old one was faulty and I did need a replacement. However, my bank statement was not enough proof. She looked in the very nook and cranny for my receipt but we could not find it, even with some assistance from Carl. At this point we had to ask the manager Kyle if he could help us locate the receipt. We finally ending up finding it in the records and I was able to get my replacement. Long story short it was a pretty tedious task and took a lot of patience. Julianna provided us with perfect customer serve and had a great attitude the entire way through. We really appreciate her, Carl, and Kyle for helping us through this trial. Were very very appreciative, and will return if we ever need anything else.

Once outside he looked at the LABOR involved, HE SAID HE NEEDED A SPECIAL TOOL!! I went to another Auto Zone (why you might ask?) This place without a clue as to my issues with other store, they TO PUT IN MY BULBS, NO SPECIAL TOOL NEEDED. I will call corporate about this store. The employees are rude, lazy and or just plain STUPID. I wonder who the manager might be? As there are all bad reviews, the lady mentioned must still be there as it smelled like a smoke stack IN the store. Sad sad sad... Stay away at all costs unless you want to be treated like a lower class citizen.. I'm surprised they are still in business!!

This is probably the worst Auto Zone ever, and I say that based on several visits there since I…read morerecently moved right down the street (and drive a car that is always in need of parts and repairs). If you're going in there to pick up a simple part and get in and out with no talking, this place is fine. It's a typical Auto Zone with tons of supplies, parts, and accessories. However, if you need any real assistance, you're in for a world of hassle and frustration. I wanted to get my battery tested since I was having issues with it (soon determined to be a near-dead alternator). The guy who went to test it didn't know how to use the little machine they use. After standing there confused for the longest time, he eventually came up with a lame reason why it was my battery's fault the test wasn't working. A few days later, I decided to pull my dead battery and take it in to get it charged. The woman behind the counter seemed baffled by my request. She took my battery to the back to charge it. She said it was charging, and it was a process that took 35 minutes. When I returned an hour later, my battery was sitting on the counter. When I went back home and plugged my battery in, it was still dead! I then turned to the Advance Auto a mile down the street and was met with superior service. When I expressed my frustration with the Auto Zone down the street, the guy said he hears that all the time. The Auto Zone about three miles away in Trenton also said they get people in there that voice the same sentiments, and that Auto Zone is okay. I was set never to return there again, but a few months later, I needed a new brake light. I figured I could go in there and be out in two minutes with no trouble. I took my burned out bulb in there to make an easy selection of a new one, but I couldn't quite find the right one since my dead bulb was corroded with the little numbers worn out. The guy looked it up on the computer, and alas, I was sold the wrong bulb.
