Keke's at Waterford Lakes is the kind of breakfast place you drive past a hundred times before you finally pull in... and then you sit there wondering what took you so long. Eggs over medium, bacon, potatoes, toast. Nothing exotic. Everything correct. One standout worth calling out: the potatoes. I have read reviews complaining that they come out rubbery, and I want to go on record saying that was not my experience even a little bit. These are Keke's signature and they were perfection. Crisp where they should be. Soft where they should be. If somebody else's bad potato day scared you off, order them anyway. The bacon was amazing. Not "fine, it's bacon" amazing... actually amazing, the kind you notice while you are eating it rather than after. Service was 10/10 and quick. Bennie took care of me and he was excellent, attentive without hovering, and clearly working hard for it. Much respect to him. Is it a little pricey? Sure. My check ran a bit over twenty dollars with coffee. But everything is expensive these days, and I would rather pay it somewhere that is actually trying than somewhere phoning it in. Two things worth knowing before you go. They close at 2:30 every single day, seven days a week, so this is a breakfast and lunch operation and nothing else. And parking is the Waterford Lakes plaza lot, so you are fine even when the place is full. Keke's is not trying to reinvent breakfast. It's safe, unchallenging and forgettable and sometimes that's what people want. What could make it better? It's way too generic for my tastes. It looks like the space and menu were designed by a committee. Give me some options not available at 100,000 other breakfast places. Serve real maple syrup, not flavored corn syrup in a cheap squirt bottle. This is an OK place for breakfast. It's not horrible and it's not the best. On this particular visit, the issue was with the hostess who seriously just needed to find a job that is better suited for them. The food was very good It came out warm and fairly quickly and I think the server was very good at his job. It's just that when you're greeted at the front door with the attitude that we were as soon as we walked in, it takes away a lot from the experience. Our server was super attentive in making sure we had all that we need and our food came pretty quick, hot and fresh. We ordered their mimosas, which were very tasty with home fries (a little salty), sausage links and their Nutella and banana stuffed French toast. I'm not usually a sweet breakfast person, but I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to order this year round dish, and so glad I didn't! This morning I stopped into Keke's and we had the most wonderful experience! Our server was Reagan, and she was so kind. We each had a coffee that was continuously refilled. I ordered chicken and waffles (which was delicious- the mountain of whipped cream was very appreciated!) and my mom ordered the build your own and enjoyed it all. Keke's is just alright with me. (Sing it... oh yeah!) I ordered the western omelet with egg whites , bacon, and rye toast and it really felt like something I could have made at home. The bacon was thin and worthless The coffee wasn't anything special either. Service is OK and the atmosphere is busy and chaotic as people love breakfast. I don't necessarily feel relaxed here and it can get kind of loud. It's not bad, per se, but just not worth any premium for eating breakfast. My husband's experience this morning for breakfast was a dining nightmare. The only part good was the coffee and that's it. BLUF: Great food, outstanding service, and an all-around wonderful experience. Food: The avocado toast was delicious, and the omelet was just as good. Everything came out fresh, tasted great, and was the perfect start to the morning. Service: We came in at 8:30 a.m. on a Thursday and were greeted and seated immediately. Our server, Adianes, was absolutely amazing! She was attentive, friendly, and easy to talk to. I had a jet-lag moment and somehow missed the creamer she had already placed on the table. When I asked for creamer, she simply brought it over without making me feel embarrassed or questioning me. As soon as I realized the original creamer was sitting right in front of me, I apologized for completely missing it, and we both had a good laugh about it. I usually order the stuffed french toast combo that comes with two sides (I got the bacon and over medium eggs) but this time I decided to order the "Florida fruit topping" which consists of bananas, apples, and strawberries. FYI you will be charged for three separate fruits so keep in mind you will be charged $20 for this meal alone which is something I wish I would've known as I was ordering. Some of our dishes were not plated well. One of my friends' main dish was almost overflowing and could have been on a bigger plate. Serving us so many small plates took up all the little room we had on our table. One of my friends found a long strand of hair in her dish. The manager was kind enough to offer another meal but the gesture was respectfully rejected. She just lost appetite for the rest of the meal. Things happen even with the best intentions and safety practices, but I would lose appetite too. Our server Benny was wonderful though. He made sure to refill my coffee several times and arrived with our items promptly. They get pretty busy though so you might have to flag a few other servers. Today I am experimenting with lunch at breakfast. You can't really go wrong with eggs and sausage. So I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. My waiter mentioned he would have to check with the kitchen because lunch started at 10:30, it was 10:04. I appreciate him checking and not just shutting my order down. The kitchen said yes! Thank you kitchen staff. The wrap is served chips and a pickle. Nice portion. Enough to share with two. Nice music playing, not too loud. I was able to carry a conversation comfortably. My son loves Keke's so whenever he has a chance to pick our brunch spot, this is what he picks. I've been to a couple different locations and this one is far superior. I got the turkey club which was seriously huge. I could only eat half. The kids menu was cute with lots of options but my hungry 7 year old wanted a regular combo with 2 egg, 4 bacon and a pancake (he did not finish lol). What an incredible way to start 2026! Our waitress, Jasmine, delivered hands-down some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. She was extremely knowledgeable, genuinely humble, and made us feel truly taken care of from start to finish. Delicious breakfast spot with a huge selection of items. Their coffee is strong without being burnt. My favorite kind of coffee! I've had the Western omelette and the Southwest omelette. Both are excellent. They are scramble style instead of folded. I prefer folded but they were still delicious. There's plenty of filling in both and I don't think I finished either of them. The home fried potatoes are really done well. And their wheat toast is legit and not "wheat" if you know what I mean. Really like the place. Our server was a lovely young lady named Lindsey in Waterford lakes location who informed us when we asked if she was going to UCF that she decided to work on Labor day even though she was off to help pay for medical school. After she walked away I thought to myself, WOW, she is a perfect example of a good kid. I was glad that Keke's had the insight to hire such a hard working young lady that is trying to achieve a greater goal and not making excuses nor feeling sorry for herself. She reminded me of a poem I once read, " a bird will fall frozen dead from a bough without ever having felt sorry for itself". A beautiful, intelligent, young woman with grit and grind in her spirit. She was wonderful from beginning to end and touched our table to see if we needed anything even when it was obvious we had what we needed which is extremely hard to find these days. I find that most restaurants you go to these days the staff is huddled up hiding from the customers talking with other staff members or checking their phones and they give attitude when you ask them for something yet they are all friendly when they bring you the check because they want a good tip at the end of your meal. I will be returning to Keke's just based on how we were served by Lindsey and hopefully we get Lindsey again. And if we don't , good luck in medical school Lindsey. You made our experience awesome and I know if your this good at being a waitress your going to make an even better doctor with your people skills. We completely forgot this Keke's was here. We were actually at First Watch down the road but the line was insane. I did a quick yelp search for an alternative and remembered Keke's was just down the road. It was busy but they looked well staffed. We were told the wait would be 10-15 min but we only waited 2-3 before being seated. Our waiter was very attentive, our orders were correct and perfectly made, it was quick but we also didn't feel rushed. Honestly, I think we enjoyed our food here more than we do at First Watch. Ok here in Waterford Lakes (near Orlando) to see my sons and took all (including their GFs) to this place. Our server Bennie was immediately attentive and I can see he knows what he is doing. The menu is a typical breakfast/lunch food which are my favorite meals so I'm happy. Got a Bellini (I'm a Bloody Mary type of guy but they did not have it available) which did the trick and tasted real good. I ordered a traditional breakfast as I am a traditional man and the easiest meals to prepare really tells you how good you are cooking. The table (8 people) got a well round variety of dishes so we will have a real good point of view on this places quality. Look i eat my fried eggs "over medium" and a lot of places don't do this correctly but not this place. My eggs were perfect and the bacon was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crispy. The rest of the table ate pancakes, waffles, omelette ect and by what I can see everything was a hit. Well I don't give 5 stars and this is one that could get one but it was just breakfast. Unfortunately I am writing a bad review. When we arrived they told us it was a 20-30 minutes wait, which my brother told me was typical and not that bad. We sat down in the waiting area to talk and I feel like we got sat down sooner. The bad experience happened after. We ordered our food right away, however it took very long to arrive to our table. 4 tables that were sat significantly after us received their food way before us. I ordered the omelet which I had to send back because when I cut it in the center it had some weird trash/paper and showed it to the waitress. She quickly apologized and brought me a new omelet. This time it didn't take as long as the first time but it was not quick. My fiance's food was bland and lacked flavor. The presentation is bright and nice but I was not impressed by the flavors. The waitress failed to tell me because I was substituting pepper from my omelet mushrooms I was going to be charged differently as a build your own omelet. Which was annoying to say the least. We were in the Waterford Lakes area to look at another store nearby and remembered that this location was here. It was earlier in the morning, so we were ready for breakfast and this was a perfect fit. They have a good sized parking lot and there is a decent amount of waiting space in front of the restaurant if you have to wait for a table. We only waited about four minutes for a table, and only because it needed to be wiped down for us to sit. A server was over shortly after, and although it was our first visit to this location, we are regulars to the chain, so we were ready to order and he was very accommodating. I had the combo with a chocolate chip waffle, two eggs scrambled with american cheese and a side of sausage. Husband had the sausage and cheese omelet with breakfast potatoes. The food was up really quickly and everything was as ordered. The food was brought by a runner who hadn't remembered to bring any syrup for the waffle and my husband wanted hot sauce for the omelet, so it took a couple minutes to track down our server and get those things, but not a huge deal.
