Not sure why there are so many "friendly" reviews regarding this lawn shop. I am 76 years old and a few years ago purchased a 5K piece of lawn equipment. Every time I go in for parts I get really surely employees who seem to feel the elderly need to be put down. Am really tired of their mean attitude and have since taken my business and any of my friends business to some other more easy to get along with folks. It is sad they cannot find more customer oriented helpers to sell their products. Great store but really the workers suck. read more

I had a very unpleasant encounter with KOPE's parts counter manager. I am surprised because I have had my mower and pressure washer worked on there and the mechanics were great. I need an air filter for my wood chipper and I tried to order it at their parts counter. The filter given to me would not fit the carburetor on my Tecumseh engine. I returned and I was told that the one supplied is the only one made. I found that hard to believe. I went on line and found two suppliers that claimed to have the correct filter, but that turned out to be wrong. After talking further with these parts warehouses, one gentlemen said that I might find them on Amazon, which I did. I brought the filter to Keizer Outdoor to show their parts manager what I had been looking for, but he did not want to see it. I told him that his actions would not leave me with any desire to come back in. He said "f**k you. I was totally taken back by his reply I have written a letter to the owner of Kaiser Outdoor Power Equipment and I will be very interested to hear his reply. I also went to State Street Saw Shop and they knew exactly what I needed and had me one in 30 seconds. Need less to say if I don't get a response from the owner, Mr. Titus I will not venture back KOPE. read more

I had a great pre-sales experience here today. I have been researching numerous pieces of gas powered yard care equipment and wanted to actually get my hands on some of it before making a final decision this coming week. Their showroom was well stocked, well maintained, clean and very well organized. The gentleman who assisted me said that he had been there for 36 years. He was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and patient. He truly seemed to be more interested in both educating me and trying to steer me towards the products that best fit my needs than he did in trying to close me and push me into a quick sale. I would feel totally comfortable buying here and strongly suspect that these guys will take good care of me both during and after the sale. read more

Have been a customer of Keizer Outdoor Power Equipment since even its pre-Keizer location. This is a customer friendly place. We live 25 miles away on acreage in the country, and even with care, our equipment gets a good workout. Sometimes it won't start, won't do this or that, and what I especially like about the place is the ability to call Alan (Service Manager), and to explain to him our problem symptoms. He is always helpful, takes the time to explain why and how this problem might be caused, and give specific suggestion on how it might get fixed. Thank you again Alan today, for after your remotely diagnosing our smaller mower's issues, it started right away after I did the things he suggested. We never price shop, instead when we need equipment, by from this service company, and today's over-the-phone help is why we will be customers for the next 20+ years. read more

I purchased a tractor/mower rig from KOPE in 2011. Since then, because of the level of service, quality of repair work, no-nonsense advice and assistance they offer, I have purchased several more tools from them. I don't even consider the big box stores for power equipment any longer as their prices are competitive, but the service and aftercare you get from them is extraordinary. read more

I purchased a lawn trimmer (weed whacker) from KOPE in 2013. They were knowledgeable when I was shopping and provided all the info I needed. I ended up having to return it because my girlfriend decided it was too heavy. But the folks at KOPE were very gracious/reasonable about the return. Horrible service had a machine in and was charged $400 for a bad wire and they didn't even check oil when doing the service, any good mechanic checks oil on machine before working on as to not cause damage to machine they are working on. Find someone else to do business with if your looking for honesty. They'll treat you with a smile until they can't rip you off anymore. read more

Horrible customer service. They do not want to back up their service work. I wanted to buy a used mower that they claimed to be serviced by them and running perfectly. When I asked what I thought of as a reasonable request to be allowed to try it out the owner would not back up the work of her mechanics. She very quickly was very rude to me and basically told me to take a hike. Will not go back there even if they are giving away free mowers! read more
