Was told with demo that deliver would take 1-2 hours of my day. Because they had to send a 2n md person to actually do the demo, had to go back again for missing parts, it was 8 hours! My entire day! No apology. I ordered lights in mid July, told a few weeks, it's now mid October with no delivery date yet. I will say the tech who did come out to do the demo, and discovered the missing parts, was a great guy. Seemed to know his stuff. Too bad he is retiring. Hate to drive so far for parts and service, but to avoid this place, will be worth it. Two stars because the tech was helpful.

I purchased a refurbished washer and dryer set from Larry almost exactly a year ago. We are a…read morefamily with 4 boys, 7, 6, 4 and 2 months. We do A TON of laundry. The washer had worked so well for us, never failing to get the caked on dirt out of pants and wash full loads of towels on a daily basis. Well, just like all young families who just spent all their money purchasing a home and buying a bigger car, the dang washer stops working. I gave Larrys a call and the owner was so helpful. He gave me his personal cell phone number and had me send a picture of my washer, then proceeded to tell me that we could come down for free and he would show me and my husband how to fix what was wrong. The part was 45$ but the valuable lesson was worth so much more. He noticed our newborn baby in the car seat and cautioned us to watch out for certain signs of one of his tiny socks being stuck in the pump, and showed my husband how to fix that too, taking an entire washer apart, explaining every screw and to be careful not to tighten this one too much or you can crack a piece, and to be careful when replacing the shell, and plenty more "if this, then do that's". Now, I'm a first time home owner and don't have much experience with repair services, but I've never in my life heard of a repair man inviting a customer into his business and showing us how to do the work he makes a living from on our own. That's the sort of business ethics that give me hope. I would highly recommend Larry's Appliance Castle. Had I bought this set anywhere else I would be out shopping for a new washer instead of sitting here on the couch with my little baby listening to the hum of my washer.

I have used it for a variety of things which included cleaning up after each day of remodeling ( I know, I cringe a little when I think about that too). I have never cleaned it or tuned it up beyond cutting hair off the roller head, emptying the collection bin, and cleaning the two filters bi-annually. It had a puncture in a base hose which needed to be replaced and luckily they had the part in house. I was able to drop it off the same day that I called to make an appointment, which was not necessary. The gentleman that answered was very friendly and professional. When I dropped it off, I got an estimate of approximately 5 to 7 days before I could pick it up. But they called in less than 24 hours saying that the job was done. It looks like a brand new vacuum! Every gasket has been wiped, damaged hose replaced, even the cord was wiped down. Which to be honest I didn't even know it was dirty to begin with.

The part had taken 3 weeks to come in so the guy asked if we wanted a loaner and we said yes. He called JL's appliance to see if they would give us a loaner and pick ours up for repair and they agreed. Nobody said anything about a delivery charge but when the washer was fix (or so they say) they expect us (we're in our 60's) to load up their washer, take it to them and get our washer. If a delivery fee was mentioned up front we wouldn't have gotten the loaner. My husband tried tallking to the owner but she was rude and told him they just bought the busiuness and that gas was expensive. I wouldnt' ever buy anything from this compnay again.
