Everyone seemed to trying to "up sell" services and some would not even schedule a basic cleaning and xrays on the same visit. Then the most wonderful accident happened....I stumbled onto Sandy's name, took a chance and scheduled and appointment with her and FELL IN LOVE with a dentist!!! At our very first meeting she took notice of a congenital problem that I had which no other doctor had ever taken seriously. She was horrified and gently asked if I was interested in getting referrals to physicians who might be able to evaluate the situation and see if it could be treated. I agreed and she eventually ended up sending me to the orthodontist who had treated her. This whole story ended up with me having major reconstructive jaw surgery and being wired for 9 weeks, during which Sandy sent me flowers and kept in touch with my family as to my recovery. Every time I see her I thank her for setting me on that path and taking me seriosly. I had begun to think that it was hopeless and a life of chronic pain was something I had to learn to live with. She is my dental angel. Not only is she just a wonderful doctor who is always willing to explain things to her patients and work with them on prioritizing treatments if money is an issue (and seriously when is it not) but she is an awesome human. Her staff has always been as nice and professional as she is is and they always make you feel welcome and cared for. Sandy also uses state of the art technology and her office is about the most spotles place I've ever seen. She is now stuck with me and if she ever tries to move away or retire I may just have to stalk her for treatment. :)

My wife and I were seeking a new dentist as we had a negative experience with our prior dentist. SofTouch has a 4.9/5 rating on Google, which is a great indicator, but our prior dentist had a 4.6 rating, so ratings alone don't tell the whole story. That's why I feel SofTouch deserves a full and fair review. My first experience was dealing with a painful tooth that had just been filled by my prior dentist. I was in agonizing pain, and SofTouch provided an outstanding treatment plan which they executed flawlessly. Unfortunately, I ended up needing a root canal and crown, and they made the whole process painless (literally and figuratively). The real test, however, came when my wife needed to have an old filling repaired. She is the classic case of "odontophobia," requiring medication just to walk into a dental office. SofTouch made her feel comfortable enough to have the treatment completed without Nitrous Oxide- a true first for her. Once the procedure was finished, she concurred with my prior assessment that Dr. Shiffenhous and his staff were on par with the best dentist we'd ever visited (high praise when compared to our "ideal" dentist from when we were first married- Dr. Olson). I wanted to share a non-dental related experience that gives a great idea of what kind of people work at SofTouch: After my wife finished her treatment, our car battery was dead. Their front desk manager, Jenny, and the technician, Terah, both came out and offered to help. Jenny brought her car around and let us use her jumper cables. Terah helped connect the cables (my big mitts couldn't get to the negative battery terminal!). Jenny even reached out to her mechanic husband who helped us diagnose the problem, and they were successful in getting the car to start! They didn't have to help, and ended up going WAY beyond the expected! So, to highlight our experiences: They made us feel "at home" (actually like family). They provide superb dental care. They exhibited a level of care and concern far above anything we've experienced in years,. They made my wife's fear melt away. Oh, and they have wonderful people working there. I did text Dr. Kelly with questions after both of my kids had their wisdom teeth out and he responded immediately. Both of my kids were very nervous about being put under general anesthesia and Dr. Kelly and his staff spend additional time with them prior to the procedure, reassuring them and making sure they were comfortable. I became a little discouraged when I didn't get called back until 30 minutes after my appointment but I quickly realized this is a facility where they are doing some major surgeries and procedures, so it makes sense that a single thing or two could cause a delay for my appointment late in the day. All of the staff was professional and helpful, providing in depth explanation of what to expect and what the next steps would be. Dr Kelly was straight forward, quickly answered all of my questions and lucky the procedure was super quick as well! I really appreciate them fitting me in and being able to fit me in at the end of the day like that! Highly recommend!

I had a Stroke the previous day. He insisted (NO Treatment today) & immediately phoned Banner Gateway Hospital located on the next street over from His Clinic. I got into the Emergency Room immediately. He recognized I was having Stroke Symptoms. Dr Chad was CORRECT.. I was in the Hospital for several days. And unlike other Chiropractors (in the past) Dr. Chad writes Test Orders for MRI imaging tests. And unlike many Chiropractic adjustments, Dr. Chad's Adjustments can be very gentle when asking him to really be gentle when adjusting you. He's kind & a Wonderful Dr. & cares about my Welfare. They don't follow up when they say they will. More times than not you have to leave a voicemail and if they get back to you it is at the end of business day. They treat ya like you are not in tune with your own body. Bedside manner is the worst.
