This is an excellent restaurant, the food and service are outstanding. My server (Jasmine) was very courteous and attentive. I ordered the lamb chop platter, and the lamb chops were cooked to perfection. They were very tender and had amazing flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent Pakistani cuisine and they also have incredible "Power of Food" events where they combine powers with another style of cuisine or restaurant. Very spacious atmosphere with multiple tables and the service was also prompt and attentive. Definitely recommended whenever you are in Norman!

Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - Chicken Biryani with medium spice and Butter Chicken with medium spice. Opening the food bag caused our tummy to growl from the smell. We immediately noticed that the portion size was quite small but wanted to taste the food before casting judgement. The spices for the rice was amazing and the chicken was tender and well seasoned. The butter chicken was so creamy and the curry was so smooth. The spiciness seem to come from an oil that was just in one corner of the dish so it was mouth burning for two bites only. Service: 5/5 - super friendly service Ambiance: n/a - ordered food to go. Wonderful atmosphere when we walked it and it felt super cozy. Value for price: 2/5 - while the food was delicious, we were disappointed in the portion size. After spending almost $40, neither of us were quite full and had to get a snack soon after the meal.

Fusion Pakistani/ Indian cuisine. Chicken jalfrezi and haleem was very fresh and had the perfect fusion taste

The service is super friendly and quick but I will say they have increased their prices recently but rightfully so as they are a family owned business. The ambiance is super cozy and takes you to a desi spot back home. The food is delicious and chicken is very tender 9/10. They also provide side of cut vegetable salad with the entree dish. I also loveee their masala French fries 10/10!

I have tried this place several times and even introduced my kids to these place. I haven't had a dish that was terrible yet. I may have picked something that I didn't really like but that is just personal preference. I enjoy this place a lot so far. They have been very consistent with their food and service every time I've been in. I've only tried a third of the menu but am excited to try the rest. The naan is great by the way. I hope they can stay consistent and keep making great food.

Tried a new to us place tonight in Norman. First off the decor is gorgeous. We were greeted right away and got to pick our seats. Started off with aloo samosas that had the perfect amount of heat. It came with what I believe was a tamarind sauce. I got a masala chai and we both had waters to drink. We got garlic naan, butter chicken and palak paneer. Everything was amazing. The flavors, heat level and even the presentation were top notch. If you find yourself in the Norman area you definitely need to try it out!

Some of the best Indian - Pakistan cuisine I've had in a long time. Not from Norman but if i was this would be a weekly restaurant! Hamza is the owner and puts so much intention and pride in the craft of his food. When we were leaving he was so kind to the two tables that came in! The first table he knew exactly wheat their order was and brought drinks right as they sat down. The second table was a group of older folks and he proceeded to pull out and wait to push in the chair of one gentleman. The vibe is beautiful as well. Vintage lamps, fountain of peaceful water, huge tropical plants with calming flute and violin music.

I think if they had better signage and people understood what was there then that would be really helpful. They only had one other table besides ours during the time we were there and we were there during dinner hour. The server was very gracious to answer all of our questions as a lot of the foods we were not familiar with. I really enjoy the appetizer. It's fried veggies with a chickpea batter. At the moment, I'm avoiding gluten and some other intolerances I have so it is nice to have something that I could eat on the menu. I had the beef curry with zero spice. It does have a natural spice to it already so if you can't handle any spice you might not want to choose a curry. But it was very flavorful and rich. My favorite, which I did splurge a little bit on gluten was their homemade garlic butter, naan bread. It was absolutely amazing. My friend had the biryani with the Panera that is basically a dairy made large cheese curd kind of like cottage cheese. And then she added vegetables. They were very accommodating to make it the way she wanted and she really enjoyed it. The service was great. We plan to go back.

They've completely redone the menu there is no buffet. The food is pretty decent…read more We started with the Samosa. I would highly recommend as a starter. We love the biryani and the dall. We didn't like the chicken tikka masala so much. The naans were really good. The sign now says Mediterranean and Indian so not sure what the cuisine is exactly like, but we found the Indian food to be decent.

Not a lot of people outside of the Indian community know about India Cafe, but it's been around for…read morea few years. Since 2011, I believe? It started out of as a culinary endeavor from two people, but has since become a one-man operation. Maybe as a result, this is largely a "Catering Only" experience. Which is great for us Indians, because we have a variety of events where catered Indian food is the norm. It almost feels like we make stuff up just to get together and eat. Fatties... The man can cook. And he's versatile, so whether you want North or South Indian food, he's capable of both. Most people I know opt for his South Indian food, because South Indians love what they know I guess... One time I asked him if he ever got bored of cooking the same stuff over and over, and he replied that he was comfortable with Chinese-Indian fusion food as well, and wished that people were more inclined to order that. Food Items to Consider: + Chicken, or Mutton Biryani. Request "Extra Spicy." It's not the nonsense that you find at buffets, which is usually just rice, minimal spice, and dried-out breast meat. It's legit. I would say that it's perhaps too legit to quit. I'm sorry. Throw in an order of cutlets as well. At approximately $1/piece, they're not cheap, but considering the work involved, it's reasonable. + If you want to try something new, request "Paalappam & Chicken Curry." This is basically the Indian equivalent to a pancake, except it's made out of fermented rice. It probably sounds weird, but it's quite delicious. A soft, slightly sweet, flat, white cake that you then drench in some salty/spicy chicken & potato curry. It hits pretty much every taste receptor on your tongue. + His South Indian food is not quite grandmother or mother-level, but it's satisfying. His stir-fried beef is hearty, and his fish curry is quite good; a spicy, sour, flavorful curry that punches you in the taste-buds. + His North Indian food is not bad either, so if you want to play it safe and order what you may already know, then have yourself some Chicken Curry, Vegetarian Korma, Chicken Tikka Masala, Naan, etc. But you may as well just go to a buffet then... + He makes what is possibly the best Indian Fruit Cake I've tasted on God's green Earth. Get a whole order of that (it's like $90 or something), then slice the cake into several pieces, and freeze whatever you don't plan to devour immediately (it freezes unbelievably well). Then take more as needed from the freezer, let the slice(s) come to room temperature (alternatively, nuke the slice(s) in the microwave for a few seconds), and enjoy this cake for the next year. Or next two weeks depending on your (lack of) self-control. ::chef's kiss emoji:: + If all else fails, ask him what he knows to make, and he'll give you a list to choose from. As previously mentioned, his Asian fusion food is something to consider. Understand that he's one man doing everything. If your expectations for catering services include dressed-up servers and warming stations, you're better off looking elsewhere. Also, if he says he isn't able to meet your deadline, he's not being rude, he's probably slammed from other orders. So don't be a butt and take it out on him on Yelp. I'm looking at you, crotchety Yelpers who only use Yelp to write one-star reviews. I've noticed that his food may not be as flavorful if your order is placed for the same weekend that he has to cater for other major Indian events. This doesn't surprise me; mass production almost always guarantees a dip in quality regardless of where you eat. Pricing is quite reasonable. I've priced out what we've ordered from him, and I think it came to something like... $3.00-7.00 per person (different events, different food items, hence the range). Even the more expensive stuff is not priced terribly. I've only had better prices for catering from Himalayas.

Tried there Samosas and loved them the chicken tika masala was excellent, can't wait to try more.read more
